Part of my social transition into a girl is becoming fascinated with cute animals. Capybaras and Rats were first, now it's Horses. It's a problem.
Rats I understand, but capybaras?

Why are horses a problem? Because you can't get off them if they're too high?:V

Edit: okay, baby capybaras are quite cute.

Have you seen pictures of capybara?
Because if not, google them.
And if yes, i am not sure how you are not already aware how adorable they look.
I had heard the word, but never seen pics. I googled it when codex mentioned them, but I don't find the adults very cute. They're basically subpar beavers. The babies are cute, but that's because they're baby mammals, those àre cute by definition. 🥰

My incomprehension was that sentence.
They are the most adorable fish.

Watch this video then let's bring us back on topic.

I updated the Characters of Divided Loyalties section:
Sir Philipp Freytag: One of the twelve Knights of the Inner Circle that form the Supreme Council of the Ancient Initatic and Holy Order of the Templars of Sigmar, otherwise known as the Witch Hunters, under the Lord Protector. He wears a black robe trimmed with yellow instead of the armour Witch Hunters favour while seeking their prey, and his face is dominated by a mass of twisted scar tissue peeking out from beneath a skull plate, an eye patch, and a prosthetic nose, telling of some past injury that must have almost claimed his life. It is customary among military men that eye patches bear the heraldry of their regiment, and instead of that of the Templars his bears a skull over two crossed cannons. The heraldry indicates that he served in Grundel's Defenders in Nuln/Wissenland.

He speaks in a rasping voice, works in a room not intended for meeting guests with overstuffed bookshelves and spartan decoration. He has the bearing of a disciplined and suspicious military man and a calculating gaze when an enemy is presented before him. He was in charge of the redaction of papers sent to Roswita and the Hochlander in regards to Alberich Haupt-Anderssen's ritual, and offered assistance when presented with the possibility of him returning. Mathilde does not like him due to implied insults.

Hunter Lord Goran Beyer: One of Talabheim's Hunter Lords and official in charge of the Longshanks in the area, initiatied into the Order of the Antler so he can oversee his duties in the vicinity of Talabheim. Seems to be jovial and enthusiastic about hunting and regaling people about the tales of his hunts, but instantly sheds the joviality when faced with a situation that demands his attention.
We got quite a lot on Sir Philipp in a very short period of time.

He has a very distinctive appearance and demeanor.

I do wonder if he knew Abelhelm or knows Roswita personally.
Most likely no. Lucas, Roswita's trusted spymaster is from Salkalten in Northern Ostland close to the coast. Abelhelm held a fondness for Ostland Brandy. The implications are that they hid out in Ostland, the other side of the Empire from Wissenland. Abelhelm might have had some sort of contact at one point or another because both are old guys so maybe they met once or twice on the field, but it's unlikely he has much of a familiarity with the Van Hals aside from an academic knowledge.

It's also implied that Philipp wasn't always a Witch Hunter considering the Nuln Regimental eye patch and the military demeanour.

Here's the citation on Lucas and the Ostland thing btw:
Has she brought in friends, forces, or visible assets of any kind other than that one witch hunter? And what is his name, anyway?
Either she brought a lot of Witch Hunters or they've become a lot more visible without Abelhelm keeping them in check. The new Spymaster's name is Lucas von Salkalten.
What do we know about the Witch Hunter who replaced us? Like general attitude, province of origin, Hat sizes and the weapons he carries around.
By name and accent, a northern Ostlander; combined with Abelhelm's taste in brandy you suspect that's where his children were holed up. He's equally suspicious of damn near everyone and seems to be really jumpy to suddenly find himself on the front line of the whole Sylvania business. He favours a falchion.

I'm a bit confused about how the witchhunters got a description of what Albrecht looks like. I thought he got his mutations during his trip through the warp, but if the witchhunters got a good look at him afterwards wouldn't they have done their outmost to destroy him?

I just have a hard time reconciling that they thought he died in the warp and that they know what he looks like after his trip to the warp.

There was an accomplice who had windsight right next to Alberich as the ritual started before he got teleported in the Warp and they got a first hand look a the mutations that Alberich acquired during the process of the ritual. The Witch Hunters then extracted that informaiton from the accomplice. Yes Alberich could and likely might have recieved additional mutations, but it's still something to go on.

They don't know what he looks like after the warp. They know what the ritual did to him.

I think the idea was that he tried something big, got a pile of mutations, then got dragged into the warp. I guess he would have even more now, but the human form can only hold so many mutations before devolving into spawn so I do not think there would be many.

In Tome of Corruption it was 1d10+Toughness Bonus number of mutations that you could get. Exceed it and you become Chaos Spawn. Toughness is recorded in percentage, and Toughness Bonus only takes the first value. So a Toughness of 54% would be a Toughness Bonus of 5, so you can have 1d10+5 mutations before turning into a Chaos Spawn. Musk is a Gift of Chaos, which doesn't "count" as a mutation for these purposes. This means that technically he only has two mutations for the purposes of Spawndom at the time of the ritual. For all we know though, he could have had mental mutations. Maybe Boney doesn't even follow the system. Who knows.

Also in the RPG the GM secretly rolls the 1d10 the first time you get a mutation, so you've got no idea what your max limit of mutations is—did he roll a 1? A 10? Nobody knows! Better stay below your TB in mutations just in case!

Also a TB of 5 is very high—the human average is 3, and the dwarf average is 4.

So they could eat them on Good Friday instead of traditional fish?

I used to have an ex-catholic flatmate who was convinced I ate fish, despite being vegetarian, because "fish are not meat." Trying to explain to her that yes, fish are meat and I don't eat them was an uphill struggle.

It was just an example, but we don't know what kinds of mutations he might have gotten. Acid Secretion, Blood Substitution, Burning Body, Centauroid (+2d10), Chaos Organ (stackable), Corrosive Vomit, Crystalline Body (3d10 but halve your wounds), Hulking Brute, Leathery Skin, Mechanoid (+4d10 and yes you become a mecha), Metal Body (+3d10), Multiple Arms, and Resilient (stackable) all grant 1d10% to Toughness with the excpetion of the ones in the parentheses. There is also a roughly equal amount of mutations that reduce toughness, so it balances out. Also, this is from the 1D1000, choices are a bit more restrained when you're dedicated to a god (d100 instead of a 1000).

There's also Gifts of Chaos which includes Might of Chaos giving you 1d10 to all characteristics on main profile, Frenzy which gives +1d10% to Toughness and Strength every time you get it after the first or if you already have Frenzy.

Slaanesh's gifts don't boost Toughness permanently. There is one ability that boosts Toughness, Strength and Willpower by +10% for up to 60 seconds after the wielder deals or takes a wound (not cumulative, but bonus increases by +10% every time you roll this Gift). Probably one of the strongest Gifts of Slaanesh. That's a huge boost for a very easy to achieve cost. Of course, the gift is called "Sadist-Masochist", because BDSM doesn't already get enough of a bad rep.
