We do deserve to exist.
So, provided the outpouring of Greenskins is a final purge of the Heresies of Only Gork and Only Mork (which I do believe is what's happening), that's one hell of a bloodbath being set up.
Karag Rhyn is where Skarsnik was, so that's more Crooked Moon/Night Goblin territory. The various defenses at Karag Lhune show that they won't exactly roll over and die, but that's a fight the Crooked Moon probably aren't going to win, hence the majority of forces being sent to the Citadel.
Now the Citadel on the other hand, that's where the real slaughter will be. It was already overflowing with most of the Orcs of Karag Nar, and that means there should be tons of Black Orcs there. It was also mentioned as a place where one can dominate most of the Caldera from, and the Black Orcs are smart enough to have brought up artillery.
So we have almost every Greenskin in the Caldera on one side, charging against entrenched Black Orcs in one of the best defensive positions in Eight Peaks on the other in a bloody brawl that's probably until one side or the other is completely wiped out. All while Kragg gets to rain lightning down upon whichever concentration of Greenskins he disapproves of most in that mess.
I really hope the Purge is what's going on, because just writing this and imagining the carnage is glorious.

We didn't let Panoramia go out after pulling an all-nighter, so why are you crazy folk thinking we can still fight when we have to roll to cast sleep spells, or aethyric armor?
This is just as useful, but much less likely to cause us to explode so close to the finish line.

Well yes, but not in the context of practicing necromancy. Desecrating the dead has some nasty purely psychological consequences, not to mention that we would make enemies of the entire civilized world. I want Mathilde to read that book for insights into the nature of magic.

We already did what might well be too much. We are tired, the hoard is critical, we are the best asset the expedition has for taking care of it, and we are a mage.
Lets not abandon a critical objective to go fight and cast magic when exhausted literally soul deep.
Also, the sooner we rest, the sooner we will be at our best, and thus the more we can help, longer term.

inb4 dwarves are more ok with temples of Ranald among umgi than humans are
i mean, they seem to be more respecting of Mathilde than humans
scared and wary, but they appear to respect a skilled craftswoman when they see one
OTOH the "thief" aspect of Ranald is really against dwarven sensibilities

With the horde outside, there's actually a good chance the Dwarf are going to break. Not a big one true, especially with Kragg in play. If it ever comes to that point though, there's no point in resting. At least you're not tired when you're facing a huge ass horde.
