Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
The problem with HDW and social perception techs, I feel, is that it's not in anyway subtle. If you play a music tech it's fairly obvious what you're doing, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Passives, yes. But for techs what you really want is something like a listening art.

[X] Began to sing a more coherent song that echoed her own

I don't want us to get blown away before we can get our attrition ticking.

[X] Began to sing a more coherent song that echoed her own

Ling Qi: Apple Bottom Jeans
Sword: (jeans)
LQ: And the boots with the fur
S: (with the fur)
LQ: The whole club was looking at her
S: (at her)
LQ: She hit the floor
S: (she hit the floor)

Our sword can be the noise. I have to vote for that.

Sidenote: looks like our winter family story thread is coming to a head. Best be ready for that.

Beautiful, but not quite enough to distract from the even more enticing qi drain.

[X] It's cry grew ever more eerie

The more i think about it the more i understand that this variant actually suits LQ better.

growing tall and strong until its roots could burrow into the very mountain rock itself.

One thing this makes me think of is that for the opponent to rip out our effects and dispel them they need to pay some price, as the roots have affixed the effect into the battle. Perhaps they lose a buff or their own, or take health damage, or lose Qi, or something.

How about the fact that it allows us to use OTHER Qi draining attacks and then have them hit twice?

It's the passive part that gets me. Qi is a storm infested with monsters and shadows that you need to just endure long enough to both find her and land winning shots. The tactics of sustain and drain are just too awesome, more interesting to me than making us hit harder.

Sticking with debuff build

Hesitating for a moment, Ling Qi reached out and placed a hand on the little spirits head, ruffling her hair in way she had seen Zeqing do once or twice. "I'll see you soon Hanyi."

Somehow, flying away from the mountain peak Ling Qi felt guilty for not doing more than stopping by to say hello to her own Mother recently.

...Is this a sign of the upcoming SL for this turn? (or is this just the consequence of not picking the mom option?)

Making us choose between Ice mom and Real mom. How cruel. Especially with Hanyi like this

Melodic Elixir is truly something to be desired.

also why is Speech the only that's says rank up when Manipulation and War also got up (just a tiny eensy weensy nitpick)

Thought about our Domain Weapon
Think about it this way - if our Blade buff us it's only against single opponent that it hits and only for LQ, but if Blade debuff enemy than ALL our allies including our Spiritual Beasts can capitalize on it, LQ is never alone after all.

Sometimes, it's the right moment for a mic drop. And this will help.

Orrrrrr we can get an offensive buff and actually have another AOE nuke that we can spam

Yarp.
Kind of a COMBO DOMAIN vs Domain you get weaker by being in.
I'm taking the second one for a number of reasons, but most of them can be summed up as 'more thematically appropriate'.

Still, I am once again fine with anything here so gl everybody.

I'm kind of worried about how our domain is shaping up though, the last few slots will need to be something to tie the whole thing together.

Or the fact that with each additional Qi drain ability we get, any single one of those abilities will be doing less overall?
On a narrative system, the drip drain is even less relevant.

Or, think about it this way: we have a metric ton of AoE drain and debuff techniques. So many we can't get it all up without a lot of prep.

We seriously lack actual offense.

Closing the deal has always been our problem. A build that's unbeatable by the tenth round won't matter if you get bursted to death by the fifth.

And another way of thinking: all of that power that would be spent on an AoE is concentrated in a single attack. That's how the balancing goes, and spending AoEs to hurt single targets is usually highly innecificent.

@edit: hey, it's even better than I thought. The above holds true, but now we could hit in an AoE with the power of a single target.
