Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
There's also the issue of different nobles being summoned home to defend their lands. So we can also advance "through" their places for free.

I mean, the point of the perception talisman is to shore up our power there to make up for us not being a perception specialist. Waiting a year for that kinda misses the point of the exercise I feel, and if we decide we want something different in a year then that's fine? That being said, those points about arguments over our perception do highlight why votes over such a talisman could get messy.

I'm more concerned about pacing in the darkness turn though tbh.
I mean... we are doing fine with perception? We aren't a perception specialist but we are pretty good. We do have multiple perception arts running, and so on.

I don't know, the whole idea of a perception talisman which is supposed to only last us several turns makes me sad considering how a lot of the arguments against pills is that we need our gear done by the end of the sect and we should be careful about our points.

I'm more agree with @AbeoLogos here that the weakness of our perception is more one of theme rather than of potency.

I'd rather wait a turn at least for the talisman. Darkness turn is already going to be a challenge to keep tight, and Yrs has said he's really aiming for faster turns. It'd give him a bit of time to prepare if he knows we're interested but are waiting for the turn after darkness turn.

Also, I kinda want to see our basic new art suite first, which we'll get with the Ji Rong spar.

For me, it's an issue of "turn is already going way too long". Darkness turn involves training a lot of new Arts and will take up narrative. Talisman may just be some more extra that we don't necessarily need to take up now. We can just take it up next turn.

Lots of typos this chapter though. Hopefully someone will be able to point them all out.

And also, I am still wondering what exactly was the price that Nightmare got from Su Ling and Biyan Ya.

Xuan Shi was battered and wounded but unbowed, and barriers by the dozen bloomed across the battlefield, pinning ribbons, shielding allies and forming the lines of an increasingly complex pattern around their foe.
Who wants to bet that the pattern has something to do with numerology? I wouldn't put it past him to start working on a pattern that will assist his team's qi flows while hampering his opponent's ability to project force. It really adds an additional layer of combat with him, using his formation work to create a better battlefield for him and his allies on the fly.

I would like to concur with the "let's hold off on talismans for reasons of narrative space, and maybe buy multiple at once next turn or the one after."

yrsillar knows we want stuff and maybe can give us a heads-up when there's gonna be room in a month for a good visit to Lin Hai or other kind of gearing-up sequence, but after how long Month 8 went in real-time and how many different arts are showing up for the first time in Darkness Month, I don't want to cram more into Month 9.

EDIT: Changed my mind on this after a great post from @Black Noise.

Not that I complain, but are there really no alternative plans? Truly, a miracle.

Or maybe math cabal is broken?
