In 2360, at the end of a blood-soaked war started by a martyred dictator, the power-hungry CEO of Stahl Industries unleashed a genocidal weapon on the inhabitants of Helghan. In the months that followed, blood and water flowed in equal measure as tyrant battled tyrant until, at last, the people cried out as one and those that would see them ground underfoot were silenced.

Since those seven days in May and the Adenium Revolution that followed, much has changed on Helghan...

A Group's Beginning
A Groups Beginning

Vicktor walked down the streets of Phyrrus the memories flowing back to him from when he was younger 'and more stupid' He thought bitterly the ache of old wounds pulsing from his left side. Turning down an ally Vicktor found the entrance to a small bar that had survived the war the interior a cliche smoke filled room with a singular fan spinning and a old juke box playing some random old earth song.

The most interesting thing about the bar was besides Helghast there was also Earthers, Vektans and many others from the various colonies Non where ISA or UCN. But they weren't the important ones or who Vicktor was here to see no that belonged to the three or so individuals sitting at a table in the middle of the room the three Indivduals consisted of an earther around his 40s with a phoenix tattoo on his right arm and wearing sunglasses. Next to him stood a half-breed man in his late 20's his clothing presented him as having money to him though he had an air of someone who had to grow up though.

But the last person though Vicktor knew who they where even in the shadows the Bald headed man was easily recognizable.

"Hello Vicktor Isalanov It's nice to have a conversation in person I take it you are interested in my proposal? Though I do hope you have more than just your self." The man spoke with a thick accent.

The old soldier sat down at the table feeling his skin crawl at the mans voice before he spoke. "yes I have more than just me but I'm not going to involve them until I got confirmation on what you want to do. After all you are an arms dealer not a mercenary"

"Ah but Vicktor I was always a Mercenary and not just a simple arms dealer take these two here-" the man jestured to the other two men at the table "You wouldn't belive me but what if i told you they both are or atleast where wanted by both the ISA and Helghast? I'm a business man Mr. Vicktor and I see a new universe that's full of possibility but we need equipment and men besides all those that are in here so I ask you once again are you interested in my Proposal?"

Vicktor sat back silent for a short while before he spoke again. "Yes I'm interested along with about a battalions worth of others we've even been buying up old surplus tanks, APCs, weapons and armor from the war so what's the plan?"

The shadowed man grinned at that leaning forward a small orange pin with a stylized face on it "well than Mr. Isalanov the plan isn't fully fleshed out yet though I am working on some things but that's not important right now what is though is that we celebrate you and you're men and women joining the Blackjack Solutions Company."

Okay there it is. Is it perfect no but I've never claimed to be particularly good at writing. Also might be thinking of making this a small series though the whole thing is based on the fact that the last thing mercenaries showed us was Blackjack speaking to Danner about hiding him and Justus and it was never mentioned about them getting off Helghan along with all the other mercenaries that probably took contracts for the Invasion of Helghan.

New Model Navy
Sidestory: New Model Army Navy

Captain Alexi Terenkova had to say, this didn't look like any sort of think-tank. The office-block was part of the administrative annex that had opened in the shipyards after the latest round of automation improvements, when the paperwork upgrades hadn't been quite as fast as the metal-forming ones. This office had quickly become surplus to dockyard needs, which made it available on the relative cheap-built by the lowest bidder, the bare painted metal and joyless cubical farm was alternately chilly or baking as it's position on the outside of the station taxed the life-support. Someone had made an effort at sprucing it up however, which mainly consisted of moving the cubicles around, and adding a splash of colorful paint. And then there were the models. Hanging from the ceiling, on shelves on the walls, stuck with glue to the foamboard walls of the cubicles, there were models of spaceships. The largest model, a 3 meter ISC cruiser, hung like a sword from the ceiling, but several people were hanging a new ship almost as large, a cylindrical thing with fish-like fins ventral and dorsal. He squinted at it and then turned to his guide. "The hell is that they've got up there?"

The young lady with the bright red hair blinked and then nodded. "It's a McKenna class Battleship, we think. One of the dropships we received had a still-good Star League fleet directory, and we pulled pictures of most of their major warships. Everyone's excited right now by the possibilities of bigger warp coils and stronger, lighter structural materials, and we've been bouncing a lot of crazy ideas around."

The captain gestured for her to lead on and followed the young engineer as she lead him through the cubicles. "I thought your design collective were working on upgrades to our standard cruisers. New armor, new weapons, new powerplants, there's enough to keep you busy for a long time, surely." He stepped around a model of such a cruiser that had been cut in half, each deck painstakingly labeled. The engine cross-section was quite accurate, and he made a mental note to have this place guarded a bit better against spies.

"Oh, we are, we are. But the problem is, it's all speculative, and there's too many hours in the day." She pushed past a beaded curtain and into her own cubicle, picking up mail and glancing at it before dropping three pieces directly into the wastepaper bin. "And I get CCed on all of it. At least the battleship freaks are somewhat sensible-they start with a good ol' Supercruiser, and stretch it out."

"Supercruiser?" She grinned at that and started to explain. "Oh, yes, that's our 'all the bells and whistles' upgrade. New missiles, new point-defense, token ARC and Lance armament, bigger engines, thicker armor, the works. It gets bigger to fit all that stuff in of course, which is why I doubt the navy will spring for it as-is. The Battleship crowd cut back on the engines a bit, and drop in an extra hundred meters of ship full of weapons. And doubled the armor. The problem is that, well it's slow and not all that powerful yet. And they're not the craziest ones we've got here. I've seen designs for ships designed to launch leech pods like they're going out of fashion, plans for an Aerospace Fighter carrier-who knows where we'll get the birds! And smaller ones as well-A single laser module with engines at the back they call a 'Laser Destroyer, a light cruiser without the cargo bays or the extra structure and engines to support them, all kinds of things. All on spec of course because-"

"You do it because you enjoy doing it." Alexi smiled at her. "Yes, it's clear that your little band up here want to be designing ships. And I'm sorry to say, we won't be asking you to leap into the fray and present any of those designs to my superiors. But if you give me a few of those designs you think more...prudent, then, I'll see if you can get the funding to keep operating. Maybe even make a few improvements..."

The First Contract
The First Contract

"Incoming, incoming, incoming, incoming!"

With a deafening thwump and screams of the recently dead and wounded a small squad of BSC troopers where wiped out by enemy fire. The returning shots from the other squads drowned out the screams for medics as a rocket sped out across the courtyard striking the enemy vehicle that had fired the round that had destroyed the squad it's ammo going up in a brilliant flash.

It was the BSC's first contract recapture a recently discovered parts factory for the Magistracy of Canopus from pirates that had been squatting in it for years. The Mercs had been lucky that they managed to capture the Pirates Dropship so easily but now they where fighting a massive pitched battle for the factory itself. The current firefight happening was for the capture of the Factory's Central Office Building though it was rough going.

A BSC APC had just cut trough the concrete of one of the courtyards walls with it's front digging gear the BSC trooper popping up and mounting the machine gun opening up on the Pirates that had been dug in on an upper level as the Vehicle disgorged it's payload only to be cut short as a Pirate SRM streaked into the cargo bay making it vanish in a massive fireball. The BSC answer to this though was a upgunned tank rolling through the freshly made hole it's 25mm cannon barking up a storm into where the SRM had come from before the tank let loose with it's rocket launchers destroying more Pirates.

That's what Vicktor saw from high above as he and his squad rode on a Intruder the veteran couldn't wait to get onto the roof of the Main Building since then he would no longer be on the fragile Aircraft that the ISA had used as their main air transport for their troops. Already they had lost some of them to ground fire.

With a call from their pilot the Squad got ready as their transport made it's final approach. He racked the slide on his StA-6 and activated the dispenser feeling the jolt as the "juice" as it was called started to affect his mind. He jumped or well as best as he could off the intruder as soon as it had touched down. The sound of a door bursting open drew his attention to the stairwell that they had been planning on taking to get into the building.

"Wha th Ell isth tha thung!?" Yelled out the Pirate as they caught site of Vicktor. Ofcourse he was going to answer the women as he turned his helmets wide view eye pieces allowing him to see the Pirate and her companions where armed with some serious weapons. With a turn and a demented howl Vicktor let loose with his own weapon before they could use them on the intruders that where coming in.

"Well Vicktor it's good to hear from you I have already sent word that we have taken the facility's So we are getting a very big paycheck in these C-Bills and we also get much salvage from this to replace our losses and I have been digging around to see if I can scrounge up some local forces that want to join up with us." Spoke the calm voice of the man known as Blackjack.

To tell the truth Vicktor didn't care his suit had been shredded in the fighting though he was happy that his tanks hadn't ruptured by enemy fire though he was out of ammo. The young man who he had found out was the son of the Vektan Ambassador worked on the old computer that still worked even after years of neglect in what must have been the Plant directors office to see if they could recover any information on what the Plant produced and any tech that Blackjack could tinker around with to give them a better edge.

There we go part 2 of the BSC adventures this time their first taste of combat though only against pirates and not armed with anything heavier than a couple of lightly and poorly maintained tanks.

Also yes Vicktor was that type of trooper during the second extra solar war. Now I do have another Omake in mind but not about the BSC and I do need to go to sleep so later.

Wolfnet Report K-46382-511-64452-DGMR - Part One
Brighton
Wolf's Dragoons Headquarters
Briefing Room B-45 X-Ray
3034

"-And that concludes our findings on the attack on the Helghan Republic Galaxy Commander" Spoke Stanford Blake.

"Just Commander Blake remember just Commander." Sighed the commander of the Wolf's Dragoons rubbing his forehead at the developing migraine before he looked back up at his head of intelligence.

"Okay this Helghan Republic what do we know about them?"

At this question the Clan warrior took a deep breath as he looked at the meeting room filled with the members of the Wolf's Dragoons that knew the truth.

"Unfortunately not much but what we do know paints them as only recently coming into contact with the rest of the galaxy. But this hasn't prevented them from being a massive power house in the Rimward Periphery and is appearing to be rapidly expanding their borders."

"So they're just another Periphery Faction making plays what's new?" Natasha Kernsky asked bored.

"The Fact that despite having only stated creating battlemech battalions all known times they have actually engaged in battle they have come out on top due to having a massive military might greatly outsizing anything that their enemies throw at them."

"How massive of an army could some small periphery nation field to crush their enemies especially with barely any mechs?" Dismissively asked another member of the crowd.

"Three armies actually and with enough troops and equipment to truly be called Armies along with a Navy that has actual warships though their jump drives are definitely not Kearny-Fuchida Drives." Murmuring broke out at that before the man continued. "Also we now have confirmation that Raven Interstellar is unofficially considered a Floating Reserve for them and appears to be playing a similar role as a scouting force for the Helghan Republic while also retrieving examples of technology to reverse engineer leading us to believe it's a part of their Intelligence arm."

At this Kerensky leaned forward " What do you mean?"

"In 3025 Raven Interstellar was formed and it's first contract was with the Arano Restoration though they first saw action on the planet Portland when Pirates attacked helping the militia defend the spaceport and destroying the pirate force. Both on Portland and during the Arugian Civil War they suffered minimal casualties before the Helghan Republic entered the war publicly. The most casualties they sustained was during the Fourth Succession war which is how we were able to embed some of our agents in."

"Wait, you said the Helghan Republic had warships?" Wolf asked the man with some incredulity.

"Yes we even have managed to recover footage of them in use from when the Helghast attacked the Aurgian Directorate." At that the wall behind Blake lit up and started to show footage of Helghan Cruisers jumping into systems and either firing boarding pods at captured civilian ships or destroying them before jumping away. The scenes having brought discontent rumblings from the crowd though the rumbling turned to shock as footage showed ships of the same class entering atmospheres and discouraging troops and equipment.

When the Footage ended the commander of Wolfnet spoke again. "I would like to point out that those ships never entered or exited at jump points standard or pirate and that footage wasn't sped up."

The silence in the room would be described in a cliche manner as deafening at that piece of news. "What's worse is there have been reports that the Helghan Government has declared those ships shown as obsolete and are decommissioning them while building large amounts of new classes."

oohhhh this isn't finished by a long shot but accidently wrote myself into a corner and it's late so gonna need to split this off into minimum of two parts and where it ends currently is a good stopping point.

Edit: Fixed rank mistake.

Wolfnet Report K-46382-511-64452-DGMR - Part Two
Wolfnet Report K-46382-511-64452-DGMR
Part 2

"Exactly how advanced are they?" Wolf asked the expression on his face only seen rarely by those in the room.

"Unknown exactly but the recent advancement in computers in the ORDI overall and Federated Suns seem to go along with reports of Helghan Republic sales or interaction."

Pictures flashed up on the screen showing small computers, phones and drones.

"We've also managed to get ahold of weapons and gear that have been left on battlefields along with others that have been smuggled out on the blackmarket and this has been giving us an insight into how advanced they actually are." Blake said as instead of pictures now footage of Wolf's Dragoons members testing weapons along with combat footage of various weapons.

"First off is some of the older weapons that we know are being sold and given to militia forces currently. This is the StA-52 as you can see it comes in many variants-" Thus started another long multi hour briefing on the various known weapons built, sold and used by the Helghan Republic overall it was a boring affair seen over time with some level of excitement at certain weapons used but it wasn't til a certain grenade was shown that things changed.

"Blake what the fuck?" Kerensky asked as footage of obviously Hazardous Material Personal gave the all clear before a recovery team power washed the pulpy remains from a battlemech cockpit.

"We don't know they are very tight lipped about it all we know is they call it a I-Pet grenade most likely it's a type of Petrusite weapon which we only know of because of general knowledge on helghan about the material though like I said the Helghan are very tightlipped about it and even more so about what ever this variation is." Explained Blake as more footage of the aftermath of such grenades being used played.

"You said a type so I'm guessing there is others?" Wolf asked looking at the man who now looked to be much older then he really was.

"Yes" Blake answered before clicking a button and more footage of the so called petrusite weapons being used started playing. "They call them Arc weapons and based on their properties you can guess why they seemingly have no ammo consumption though obviously this doesn't just naturally scale up. Then there are these."

At this the footage stopped a grainy image of an island plateau with multiple towers reaching up into the sky sitting at the edge of squall in the ocean took up the screen.

"Based on the use of the name Arc used for Petrusite weapons and the size of them we believe these Arc towers are a type of air defense stations that act in a similar manner as ground based naval lasers." Deep breaths where taken in by all in the room at such news/

"There is also this" New footage started playing this time showing a Battlemech larger then any mech that any of the members of the Wolf's Dragoons had seen walking around in an obvious patrol.

"Our man was lucky in getting that footage not because it's a secret but just by timing. That is a MAWLR it's name is an acronym though we do not know what for. But It's armed like a Hell Horse vehicle with one of it's main weapons being that massive Arc cannon." Spoke the head of Wolfnet to the silent room.

"The Structure in the background I have been informed is an Orbital Elevator with a Laser drive system. I believe it is safe to say that even if they are not as advance in certain areas they are highly advanced in others and are rapidly coming with ways to advance in others."

"What does this mean for the Inner Sphere?" asked a voice in the crowd once arrogant now soft spoken.

"Unknown what we do know is the Helghan Republic IS responsible for a general change in the Periphery and has immense political influence in the Periphery with the formation of ORDI along with great martial force itself.'

And there we go not fully satisficed but any more would just be a waste wish I could bring up the Minute Man PA(L) but I couldn't come up with a reasonable way to do so with out another time skip and just going to roll with they haven't been really deployed in large enough numbers yet.

Also @prometheus110 There at the top is the Title for both.

Edit: fixed some errors just some small ones.

Subject: Investigative Study of the Viability of Transporting Petrusite via the Kearny-Fuchida Drive

Dear Minister ###### ########

In regards to your requested study about the viability of large scale of Petrusite shipping via the Kearny-Fuchida Drive (aka the K-F Drive), it is in my professional opinion that no such shipments be conducted at this time. As discovered recently Petrusite (and possibly Irradiated Petrusite to a greater degree) is able the effect several frequencies or layers of hyperspace at once. This considering the well documented sensitivity of the K-F drive to hyperspace interference, renders it potentially quite unsafe to attempt to transport. Additionally due to the significant potential risk to both personnel and equipment we have been unable to conduct any experiments to determine the exact extent of the danger. This also goes for the transporting of our warp ships as they contain significant amounts of petrusite in the form of special components but mostly in the form of petrusite enriched fual. Even without the petrusite enhancements to our warp drives it is extremely inadvisable to attempt to move a warp ship via K-F drive as it is almost certain to cause cross-drive hyperspace interference. However once sufficient research in to the hyperspatial mechanics of the K-F drive is complete it will be possible to know for certain the viability of mass petrusite transport via such. For a more in depth report please see the attached document.

Informal Proposals
[Fat Momma] Class Fleet Tender

The [Fat Momma]-class fleet tender was developed by the Ministry of Defense's Naval Design Bureau to address concerns of individuals and parties within the Republic's government about the Helghan Navy's ability to conduct operations beyond the Republic's borders in areas without established infrastructure, particularly within hostile territory.

Taking advantage of recent developments in material science, the [Fat Momma] easily dwarfs all other ships currently in Helghan service, and was designed with radically different criteria in mind than previous ships, even including civilian vessels such as the Charon- and Bellerophon-class. As a result of those criteria, the [Fat Momma] class is effectively a mobile space station, intended to support the fleets and troops by acting as a refueling, maintenance, and resupply depot.
To facilitate this function, it not only possesses extensive fuel storage tanks with sophisticated systems and drones to allow for the automated refueling of vessels without the need to risk human personnel on EVA missions, but also took inspiration from Inner Sphere FTL methodology and added a series of capacitor banks and extendable solar collectors, to stretch its on-board fuel reserves by allowing for the recharging of warp drives in non-urgent situations.

Much of the remaining space is dedicated to a series of cargo bays and workshops. Outfitted with advanced manufacturing equipment and systems capable of simulating a variety of atmospheric or gravitational conditions as required, these workshops lack the raw output volume of dedicated factories, but are instead designed to offer a high degree of flexibility, and are thus readily capable of producing a wide variety of spare parts and basic munitions from feedstock as the situation demands, and include smelting and refining capabilities in order to allow for the use of damaged components, battlefield scrap, and even ores as raw materials.

To further enhance its support capabilities, the [Fat Momma] class also carries a number of smaller harvesting and asteroid mining vessels equipped with intra-system FTL drives, in order to ensure a minimum supply of raw materials.

Unfortunately, the [Fat Momma] class' impressive support capabilities required trade-offs in other areas.

Its tactical mobility is severely lacking, with its drive and thrusters sufficient to achieve and maintain stable orbits, but wholly insufficient for even short-range travel, making it reliant on other ships acting as tugs in such a situation.

It's defensive capabilities are similarly limited. Due to the way even minor external damage could potentially interfere with critical systems such as its solar collectors or the refueling systems, it only carries an absolute minimum of conventional armor and instead relies on energy shields to withstand hits from enemy weapons, with a small number of long- and mid-range laser weaponry. While capable of dealing with hazardous space debris or minor harassment, it is completely incapable of withstanding a determined attack. While its defensive abilities could potentially be enhanced to a degree by replacing the resource extraction vessels with escort dropships, its best option when seriously threatened is to withdraw via FTL jump. To help facilitate this, both its energy collectors and external fuel storage tanks come with mechanisms to rapidly discard them in an emergency.

Keeping its capabilities and limitations in mind, the intended use of the [Fat Momma] class is to deploy within uninhabited systems behind enemy lines or the outer reaches of inhabited enemy systems if necessary, ideally at a location with readily-available raw materials such as a gas giant, yet a substantial distance away from any Jumppoints. From there, the [Fat Momma] class can support nearby friendly forces by distributing fuel and supplies either shipped in from within the Helgan republic, or manufactured on site, and relocate as the frontline shifts over the course of a conflict.

During times of peace, the [Fat Momma] class can also provide valuable services to the Republic by using its resource gathering and manufacturing capabilities to assist recently-colonized or otherwise underdeveloped planets with the establishment and expansion of critical infrastructure, or the construction of space facilities.

(For fuck's sake; Terris, I don't give a shit if your wife finds your simultaneously antiquated and infantile humor funny, we are NOT forwarding this proposal with a name as idiotic as "Fat Momma"! Come up with a non-stupid name, or if you lack the creativity to do it yourself, find someone to do it for you.
And if you try to go behind my back about this again, I'll have you reassigned to Sanitation, and you can spend the rest of your career trying to design better space shitters.

Trespe Aerospace Support Drone

Named for a stinging swarm insect from Helghan's inhospitable jungles, the Trespe is an effort to extend the Helghan Republic's capabilities in automation and autonomous military robots into the field of aerospace combat.

Its intended purpose is to support existing Helghan aerospace forces by intercepting hostile missiles, harassing enemy aerospace forces, and acting as an expendable asset for potentially high-risk tasks.

As its small size sharply limits the amount of armor it can carry, the drone instead relies on evasion to avoid destruction. For this purpose it is equipped with a quartet of rotary thrusters, each capable of independent movement, as well as a substantial degree of thrust vectoring, resulting in a level of maneuverability unparalleled by any other combat platform in known space.

The drone's armaments are similarly limited by its size, consisting of a single Small Laser as its main weapon for use against enemy aerospace assets or ground targets, combined with a pair of smaller laser weapons (about equivalent to an infantry laser rifle in power) in ventral and dorsal turret mounts meant to provide limited anti-missile capabilities.

While lacking the firepower to be an individual threat to any but the most fragile of enemy ASF or aircraft, the Trespe is designed to be produced in substantial quantities and deployed in groups, with several drones assigned to each of our own ASF craft. In combat, the Trespe would then use its turreted laser weapons to destroy missiles fired at friendly units, before closing in on enemy craft and target them with its main weapon. Given its limited damage potential, the primary purpose is to harass and distract the enemy pilots, forcing them to split their attention, giving our own pilots an advantage.

The expendable nature of the Trespe drone when compared to manned ASFs also makes it well suited for high-risk tasks such as low-altitude recon flights, or drawing out enemy anti-air units for SEAD missions.

To help reduce the logistical difficulty and burden of deploying the Trespe in its intended manner, it is equipped with electromagnetic clamps, allowing it to attach to other vehicles or the outside of vessels for storage or deployment.

[The overall concept looks interesting and has my support; contact the workshop and have them build a couple of prototypes for testing, including variants with different configurations for their primary and secondary weapons.
I'm skeptical about the utility of the EM clamps as a method of storage and deployment. Leave it in for now, but get started looking at alternative uses for the clamps - deploying bombs or other munitions or equipment, perhans? - as well as working out dedicated means of efficient storage and deployment.

Transition Event Study Update - Petrusite Gate
Omaka: Transition Event Study Update - Petrusite Gate

From: Dr. Kreig VernBrawn Exotic Materials & Physics Department Head
To: Office of the Prime Minister of the Helghan Republic
Date: November 10, 3036
Subject: Update on Investigative Study of the Transition Event

Dear Prime Minister ######## ##########

The Investigation of the Transition Event continues steadily. As stated in the previous update Helghan was engulfed in a wave of petrusite seemingly confined to the upper mid exosphere. What is now known it that this wave was undoubtedly irradiated petrusite. This is confirmed by trace analysis of the burns found on the upper most portions of the destroyed orbital elevator cables and recently acquired spectrographic recordings made during the event. More concerning is that analysis of the internal behavior of the irradiated petrusite wave greatly resembles theoretical modals for that of the detonation of an Irradiated Petrusite Bomb. I shudder to consider the damage that such a wave could have done had it not been so confined as it had. However I am able to say that the likely resulting loss of life and property damage could safely be described as apocalyptic. That the wave was so confined as it was is little short of miraculous.

Further analysis of the destroyed orbital elevator's cables indicates that everything caught inside of the wave was vaporized, with the only surviving objects being on the periphery receiving intense petrusite burns. As for the spaciotemporal transposition effect I believe that what happened was an extreme variation of Petrusite Teleportation as theorized in Dr Donald Cypress's paper on Petrusite Teleportation. If the Transition Event can stand as an example of what is possible with Petrusite Teleportation than once we have sufficiently researched it, it may be possible to design a station to transport our ships hundreds of light years in barely an hour. This theoretical Petrusite Warp Gate would undoubtedly require a significant amount of petrusite to function in a stable manner, but if it works we could establish the Helghan Republic's influence across a much more significant territory.

Sincerely Dr. Kreig VernBrawn
Exotic Materials & Physics Department Head

//Writers Notes: It is so rare in an Isekai or ISOT for the cause of the transition to be researched, but when it is it often leads to interesting developments. In our case petrusite was the cause so there is no way in hell we are not going to look into it, and as I have tee'd up we may even develop a sort of FTL Gate tech. I would expect such a station to require a significant amount of effort to construct (5 years/turns at least for each station) and the tech be gated behind primitive teleportation, and maybe improved or advanced warp drive technology. What do you think @prometheus110?

Aftermath

~ and in other news it's coming around to the 19th anniversary of the destruction of helghan"

Tomas Sevchenko just sighed as he pulled away from the Jan Templar Correctional Facility.

The grey haired man had just visited one of the inmates and brought him news on the galaxy as a whole. Nothing had changed the economy was still in free fall and the third Extrasolar war was still raging on.

Yeah that was a shocker who would have thought the complete destruction of a planet would rile up the colonies and ICSA into open war. Even now Sev could see UCN warships in various states hovering over Vekta along with Damocles-class cruisers.

The destruction of Helghan had horrified all of humanity and angered the UCN for the loss of a major resource planet. But that wasn't as bad as the colonies who saw the complete annihilation of a planet from an organization that continuously ignored UCN orders and where never punished. The UCN wasn't prepared for the uprisings or exactly how powerful the colonies where or advanced they had become especially those of the ICSA.

But that wasn't Sev's concern he had been giving a dishonorable discharge when he got back to vetka. Rico had been imprisoned for his actions and part of helghans destruction nearly all the survivors where punished for what had happened that day and the UCN was still suffering to this day in a war that hasn't ended for nearly 20 years.

So just something I had thought about how the KZ universe would react to Helghans disappearance at the end of KZ3 especially based on some lore about how the UCN acts and the fact that the colonies are always dealing with some uprisings in response to what the UCN demands of them.

Treasure
Treasure

"Exactly why are we out here in the first place?"

"Like I told you at the Base camp we're searching for an old TSV Storage bunker and seeing if there's anything still in it. And it's there even got a map for the rough location of it.

"Yeah if the Petursite fires didn't destroy it in the first place!"

"Well the thing was supposedly meant to survive orbital bombardments so it should still be there."

"What's in it?"

"Unknown the TSV Documents called it a Tracked Entrance Storage Depot built 20 years before the war so it could be anything!"

"Hey guys I Found something!"

Hearing a cry from up far the group of four Helghast trekked up towards the ridge line where they could see their compatriot.

When they got to the ridge the unmistakable sight of a Bunker entrance was seen built into a mountain. Parts of the mountain around the Entrance was gone showing more of the smooth bunker concrete.

"Damn look at the size of that thing you could fit Three Mawlers side by side through that door!"

"Howler 5 this is Prospector we've found the goldmine" Spoke the teams leader into his radio.

A few minutes later the sound and sight of multiple Overlord Dropships flying into the area herald the arrival of another Treasure hunting Company. Treasure Hunting it had become a thing on Helghan after contact had been made with other planets. The Marks made in Search and Salvage of old bunkers and battlefields was enough to make anyone rich beyond their wildest dreams. Especially with off world trade with Mir, Portland, Independence, The Magistracy and Concordant the market for old Equipment was on the rise. Helped that the Helghan Republic was also interested in the location and contents of these types of buildings the Petursite fires having destroyed towns and records.

Having volunteers to search Helghan for these facilities and towns for a small price was seen better than having the military go searching around.

So this was just a thought I had about how after the Terracide that there was probably tons of abandoned Depots, bases, towns and so on. that where seen as not important or just lost in the chaos and that People looking to make some money would go looking for them. That small bit at the end about the Helghan Republic also paying some fee's for the finding and cataloging of these places is because of even though it's more stable the goverment is probably still stretched thin and see it as a very low priority.
