[X] Plan: Prologue To Truth
[X] Plan: Keepers of Truth.
I said I wanted to sustain the Imperial Truth, and so I'm sustaining the Imperial Truth.
Maybe just make a statement that some of Grime's Chapters and Chaos Warbands will pop up in each other's Quest but they are only a homage. There might be a rare event where they actually do appear in full as the real article, but that would require some severe Warp-based events happening in the group's event rolls, that they then survive and...
Well, in short: homages only, if they are mentioned at all. The possibility of direct connections but the narrative has to be really good and the QM has first, last and only fall on it for anything that isn't an Omake.
It is unlikely the narrative will be good enough, and it will be discontinued if either Quest tries to force it, or the fall out of it occurring/being discussed turns bad. That sort of summary work Undead?

Yeah, I absolutely agree with this. Trying to filly integrate the two is likely to lead to serious issues at some point, and that's just in-universe. Out of universe the player base would be worse.I think that'd be more complicated compared to the OC warbands being in a separate timeline from the OC chapters.
Let the warbands roam freely and do cool stuff too.
That said, this is also true. And one of the things with WH40k is you could absolutely have one of the Chapters or Warbands fall through a Warp Anomaly/Event which spits them out in the other universe so...It helps that 40k is legit so big that even if both existed in the same timeline they could very well end up just not meeting each other regardless.

Yeah... That was an excellent case of narrative, rolls and player action meeting to allow the QM to create a story.Personally personally one of my favorite part of the Steel Champions is the fact that a big part of their flavor in their coping mechanisim came from... well the players suggesting they have a coping mechanism followed by me putting up a table for it and another player rolling on it.
It would not have happened if not for the players being creative.
