yeah I think it would be pretty annoying to have the two quests directly fighting each other like that. we'd either be constantly getting in our own way or people would start only backing one of the quests.

Also, it could potentially work if both quests started simultanously, but now "Loyalists" have 5 Chapters & are in middle of making 6th, while "Traitors" don't have even one Warband

Indeed, its strange how that works out and how the Double Sized thing even happened. We see now the Ork Empire don't joke around and are dangerous, it was only due to the Mandate in the Request and the Homeworld combined that allowed the Double Strength excemption.

Literally the thing we weren't planning for or expected just happened mostly due to the amount of traits rolled and we could get but also the way it worked in the narrative that make sense for it to happen and it happened on an Iron Warrior's Successor chapter that had Legendary Spite and being able to see the Eye of the Terror... you just don't expect that to be the chapter that meshes great with the Imperial Guard.
Hahaha, yah its kinda of terrifying if you are allied or just with the one who that spite is focused on because that is some bullshit and dedication and just fracks you over with how far they are willing to go. Like the update said, they force the Eldar to commit their forces to fights they can't run away from and causes so many unnecessary deaths from that and the Steel Champions just won't stop doing it.
I mean add in how the Steel Champions fight and their specialties, along with the Dread Jars.... I can think of ways to inflict a lot of losses on the Eldar and this going on for many thousands of years, the Eldar don't reproduce that fast and those warriors dying take a long time to replace and being forced into a meat grinder is NOT how the Eldar fight so that affects it as well.

Granted though the Lightbringers are 'officially' compliant with the Codex with no one really knowing how many or indeed 'if' they have Astrates on assignment or in deep Cover with a chapter or organization. The Dark Pergeines are the only other ones who... kinda are breaking the Codex limit on them but are a fleet based chapter with the Companies so far away from each other and decentralized So its hard to tell what's up to date and if the Aspirants count and the scouts are in each company. its hard to confirm if they do meet the limit or not, and even if you make proof they likely fell under it when suffered losses.

We really made their lives hell and I wonder how the Dark Angel Cavalry chapter will be due to that?

Personally personally one of my favorite part of the Steel Champions is the fact that a big part of their flavor in their coping mechanisim came from... well the players suggesting they have a coping mechanism followed by me putting up a table for it and another player rolling on it.
