The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Maybe not by design, but Slaanesh… Slaanesh has ways of getting around stuff like that. Besides, if part of the reason for avoiding female Astartes was to avoid a new race of super soldiers, they clearly are capable of it, even if they lack the instincts and/or drive for it.

If I'm misremembering that though, please let me know. Warhammer is… very big. I get things mixed up sometimes, and it's always embarrassing when it happens.

Ehhhhhh depends on the writers. like with female astartes were near impossible during the original crusade like astartes succes was 1 in a million if your lucky but with females is 1 in a trillion and requires more tine and energy for suscces so that so not worth it. Plus they lose fertility anyway. Now with men astartes aretoo difreny so they lickkey can't get normals pregnant anyway.

Can we please stop talking about adding female astartes they don't make any sense narratively . And they were never made to begin with in the lore the emperor tried to make them but failed. Also the emperor didn't do squat with the astartes reproductive system just got rid of their sex drive.
