I like this. Take one of these:
[] Lessened Ecological Impact for all Agricultural Actions
[] Unlock: Experimental Vertical Hydroponics
[] +4 to both any Thai and Agriculture Actions in one Turn.
[X] Unlock: Experimental Vertical Hydroponics

This one please, since it's what I was actually angling for.

I know, I know that it's probably not possible on a wide scale, but consider that we have space goals, and aquaponics might actually be useful in such a situation. And if it does work on a wide scale, it might be useful for prestige cash crops, like Cocoa, or berries.

Don't the workers deserve Chocolate and Coffee? Freely enjoyed in the splendor of untamed nature?

SILENCE! LET THERE BE VERTICAL FARMS ON EVERY SURFACE!

PLANTS FOR THE PLANTS GOD, VERTICALITY FOR THE NERDS!!!

[X] Unlock: Experimental Vertical Hydroponics

This is revisionism.

Y'all are revisionist.

:V

edit: @Darkandus, it might make sense if we bundle it with the Universal Building, since those are meant to be a lit like mid-rise Earthships, so having the vertical hydroponics act as the insulating buffer between the outside and inside layers would work. Also having planters down the outside of a building would also work.

My main hope is to preserve the nature of Guangchou to some extent while also providing the people some of their nutritional requirements through crops that are unlikely to be as heavily farmed in a situation where people have limited access to food. Leafy greens are probably seen as secondary to cereals at the moment, and Mushrooms are actually pretty ideal for hydroponics, as they don't need nearly as much light.

[X] Plan Refuge
-[X] Create New Housing (Helpful)
--[X] Use Large-Scale Energy Efficient Housing (Helpful) (+2 People's Opinion) (+2 Reputation) x3
-[X] Develop Basic Software Ecosystem (Mega-Project - 2/2 Actions) (-4 Reputation)
-[X] Twin Hammers Institute of Applied Industrial Automation (Mega-Project - 2/2 Actions) (-10 Reputation)
-[X] Assemble A Fishing Fleet
-[X] Initiate CyberSyn Test (Suspicious) (Extremely Helpful) (Bonus: +1 Focus, +2 Ambition,+2 WEISOFT, +6 Automization)

Voting is open now. I don't think the carrot and stick argument is very realistic so I'm falling back on this. The main point is that we've picked up several refugees and will likely pick up more so we must focus on housing them first.

-[X] Personal Action: Start writing a Manifesto detailing Guangchou's path towards communism and it's stregths and weaknesses compared to other revolutions. Just a rough draft for now, but it's the sort of book you're expected to write, you know?
-[X] Personal Action: Practice your Russian. You're conversant at this point, but fluency will come in very handy in the future.
-[X] Lover Action: Teach Mei how to blend in and go have some fun incognito. See what the average couple might do for fun in Guangchou.

Is the Khmer a separate vote, or do I make it part of the overall plan?

With regards to ecological preservation, Survey Corps and the various permaculture projects are probably our best bets.

Purly because it has the updated Software Ecosystem So I Prefer it slightly more. They My not Be compatable, However since the QM has them Seperated I'm hopping they are. Since I dislike HAving to Build Stuff for other Places when we should be building ourselves up still (If I understand the Write in of the other plan Correctly).

Point of order: Everything promised as part of The Carrot in my plan is all stuff we were going to be researching this plan anyway. Double dipping is fun innit? :V

Guangchou will help them industrialize and bring the rural communist ideology to the cities while supporting them against Vietnamese imperialism

Sounds Like to me, we're building extra Stuff to Help them Industrialize. Sure we were going to do the stuff promised anyways, However now we have to do the promised stuff twice because we gotta build some for other people.

I mostly take this Option because I REALLY wanna see what happens if that actually works.

I mean, helping other countries industrialize is our best bet for back-dooring the Social Revolution into them:

Yeah, but with other communist countries, we can go: 'Oh, well, we'd love to give you these nice CNC lathes and trained technicians to help you operate them, but a lot of them aren't straight, which is kind of illegal in your country, so it's taking a while to find volunteers...'

Combined with 'Those gays are a blight on the world! But *grumble grumble* I guess they do make good lathes. And those omni-tractors were very handy... I can at least to pretend to be nice as long as the goods keep flowing.'

And the next thing they know the kids are wearing Guangchou fashion and watching Commiewood shows, and complaining about how un-woke their parents are being. :V

American Citizens: Those backwater commies are offering to "industrialize" other countries. *breaks down laughing*:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
American 3-Letter Agency: HAS THIS INFORMATION BEEN VERIFIED!? *flash images of armies of bipedal robots intensify* :o:o:o:o:o

Fine. If you guys wanna go green then let's go green.

Iron Tigers >>> Wooden Tigers

Who said anything about green? just protecting the environment here bub, Roosevelt progressivism with communist characteristics not modern environmentalism.

Jokes aside I think we need to think of something developing our mechs enough we can find civilian industrial/construction uses for them as that could help alot in our economic development.

And since HC has moved to a 2d6 for design rolls, our minimum roll is... 2! Which bring up to a minimum roll total of 22 - an AUTOMATIC GRAND BREAKTHROUGH!

And if we add another +1 from a fancy plan name, and another +1 if we pick a focus that has something to do with submarines... such as nuclear reactor development... that a 2d6+22.

This has a 41% change of rolling a 30 and triggering an Era Defining Breakthrough
This is genius.

If we don't manage to solve Khmer problem, I say we make the first demonstration of Iron tigers to be in decapitating the Khmer Rouge. It'll be a strong first showing, and frame them as instruments of justice.

Edit: Maybe not decapitating, but still, their first deployment being against a madman should be some great PR for them. And will be a nice WTF moment since I doubt anyone would expect us to just casually pull out a secret weapon to kick this idiot's ass, which means we'll have a nice little window of time to openly deploy IT tech before people get over how they were introduced.

I'd rather not go off half cocked on the IT reveal - our best bet RN would be to support Vietnamese ops while making sure China doesn't take offense at the whole thing.

The ITs aren't ready for prime time yet - we haven't even started manufacturing them yet.
Through at some point I definitely want to squeeze in designing a engineering mech that can also be used on the civilian side of things.
