I assume that choosing any option other than the kaiju one leads to cross-specializing, leading to hybrid systems.

Like Kaiju Tech + ESP Research = Jaeger Drift-style Supers.
Or Kaiju Tech + Alien Research = NotEvangelions.

I just wonder if these SCIENCE guys can really do big mecha(?) construction at all...

The Science team isn't the ones who BUILD the Super Robot. They just figure out the math and principles behind it.

The Engineers? Different story.

And correct in that the other options will allow for cross specialization.

Sure, there's always the risk of "diving too deep" into the Kaiju's lobotomized brain and "melding" into it permanently... but it would mean an exponential increase in performance, right? :whistle:

It could also mean that the remnants of Kaiju consciousness somehow pull a grand theft me, handing them an Iron Clad version of their best with god knows how many weapons we can duct-tape on.

That Quantum thing sounds hilarious but I'm going for psychic potentials. Because Sasaki clearly needs to get herself a mind-sword, even if she doesn't know it yet.
 
I just did another tally (see above, previous tally was updated), and ESP/Psyker just ekes out a win by 1 vote. Due to the lack of any additional votes since this evening, I'm calling it here.

That said, phew. Close vote. Not surprising though, considering the GGG fans out there. To whom I give a shoutout: there will be chances to pursue similar opportunities in the future when you are more established.

For now, however, it seems that kaiju sample and Psyker theory serve as the bedrock principles of the EUDF's Super Robot project.

Update to come sometime tonight once I have had some food in me.

Wait...GaoGaiGar had ESP in it?

I ask, cause I've never seen the anime, but know that it's up there with the Greats of Super Robot Anime and have seen some of it from SRW games.

The main thing that stood out was how a robot literally played a guitar riff on a bridge and took out a bunch of flying saucers.
