Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

I had some questions about how you decide to price actions and determine income options. For example, it seems a tad expensive that a single job with the 40 thieves could have a price equivalent to 40 months' trade with Agrabah (20 turns). And why did it cost almost as much to hire Iago as it did to train an entire platoon of swordsmen? Part of it is opportunity cost, but what are the in-universe reasons?
I tend to eyeball it a bit. For the 40 Thieves to steal the map, you have to make it worth them giving the map up. Thus the massive cost. For the cost of Iago vs the Swordsmen, it was incentive and paying for his skills; though I admit that I may have skewed too many things too high cost-wise.
Is the reason the west is so difficult and expensive because our military is stretched thin at the moment?
The main reason, though Tireless is right that a scouting mission would also lower the DC and cost a bit.
 
Is the Mao Kun Map mentioned for the forty thieves and the adventure to grab it one and the same? (In which case I think Tai Lung is from around there?)

Yes. Basically the 40 Thieves job is an alternative to the Adventure if you guys wanted to decide that it wasn't worth the risk given the state of China at the moment.

As for Tai lung, he's from Northern China, whereas the map is in Southern China. Big difference given the size of the empire.
 
Oh! Is the sand witch adventure on any kind of a timer?

The other two adventures seem more long term and stable but the sand witch one seems like if we wait to long it would no longer matter.

The Sand Witch adventure is on a timer, yes. Though depending on the actions you guys take, it can potentially extend the timer.
 
Kinda the point. We won't be doing any other adventure other than that one, and I for one don't really want to leave the Mao Kun map in dangerous claws. (The other leading vote is for the Roc instead.)

The US is considerably farther away and might not even be an established nation at this time.
US is as hodgepodged as the rest of the world.

Let's see if I can remember all these:
We've got a yodeling cowboy with mind control.
The 4 American Folk Heroes in various states.
A giant firebird.
The Aurora from brother bear throwing a fit (probably due to movie, the yodeler, and Paul Bunyan.)
Dr. Facilier doing his thing.
Don't forget Yzma and Tzekel-Kan to the south of the states.
Also maybe Cortez still rocking around?...With the inclusion of the cursed treasure from pirates of the Caribbean he might be undead.

The news of these Sand Witches trying to take Agrabah from the Sultan is rather unnerving. Zummi will delve into what records he has and can find in the libraries as well to see what information can be, ahem, dug up, on the Sand Witches. Reduces DCs involving Sand Witches, new options unlocked.
DC: 75 (12+30=+42, 67% chance of success.)

So....

Tai Lung teaching soldiers night fighting.
Variable DC sorting of treasure, which is something of a Mystery Box.
Assimilation of western Persia through diplomatic means.
Keeping an eye on the sandwich situation over at Agrabah.

The sand witches are probably the most important thing in play in these actions, but I find myself intrigued by the Mystery Box.
