Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

So rooting through the DVV setting to try and get an idea of what we'll be dealing with as the world reorders. Of course this isn't a strict equilvalent to the borders of DVV canon but can give a general idea of our future 'neighbors'.

Africa shouldn't be that huge an issue since Queen La and Scar won't be interested in the deserts (La lives in a jungle and Scar will be targeting her for all the prey beasts living in her jungles).

Hades...I can't see him being too interested in us since he has much bigger problems to the north. And the animal kingdoms of India probably aren't going to be a factor.

The big three threats that I can see are Frollo's Archdiocese, Chernobog and the Huunic Empire. Big C is kind of obvious (embodiment of Evil and all that) while the Huns are expansionist conquerors. The Archdiocese on the other hand....we're going to be having Crusade and Crusade hitting our region when Frollo cements control because he'll want Jerusalem bad.

A Hidden Treasure of the Kingdom of Ababwa (Canon)
(I was feeling inspired by how this could work out, so have an omake.)

A Hidden Treasure of the Kingdom of Ababwa

In the kitchen of the palace in the kingdom of Ababwa, a pair of cooks watches as one of the oldest members of the kitchen staff toddles past carrying a jar almost as big as herself.

"You need any helps Agnes? You have been working late so often and those jars are so big."

"That would be awfully kind, but I'm still able enough for the work. Just need to get this down to the storehouse."

Agnes walks through the doorway, ducking down to keep the jar from clipping the doorframe. The cooks return to their work, though one keeps looking at the other. After a moment he speaks up.

"You know she's a witch."

"A hedgewitch, she doesn't have enough magic to do more than have a spoon stir itself. Besides, you know how the wish worked. She wouldn't be here if she had malice, and she does good work."

"For now, but she's obsessed with something. You can see it in her eyes, I remember seeing that look. And even if she means no harm, obsession always leads to trouble. Besides, do you even know what was in that jar?"

"Well, no. But you worry too much."

"Someone has to."

-----

While the cooks talk, Agnes herself heads down the hallways of the palace, turning corridors and stairways, heading further and further down into the depths of the palace. Few give her mind, having gotten used to seeing her past by with those large jars. Down at one of the lowest levels of the palace she puts her jar down by a locked door. She looks to the right and the left, then withdraws from her sleeve a key which she turn widdershins in the lock.

Upon opening the door, Agnes takes the jar inside to rest with the forty other large jars, above rests shelves holding countless lesser jars of glass compared them to the jars below.

"Got to have a nice wedding gift for the lovely prince. Needs to be just right."

Agnes moves deeper into her private storage/workplace where a large cauldron rests. She lights the fire beneath it, reheating the liquid resting within it while a spoon starts to stir the mixture on its own. Taking a bottle from her belt, she pours it in, smiling as red fumes rise up.

"Excellent, the essence is bending perfectly. Soon it will ready, having all these herbs makes this much easier, no risk of burning for asking questions."

She takes another spoon from her belt and helps herself to a slip.

"Mmm, fine taste this one. One last mix and then cooling and my gift will be ready. I'm certain that he and his bride will love this supply of exotic jams! Hahahahah!!"

As much as a threat Frollo undoubtedly is, he's also going to have his hands full with the Horned King and Maleficent, and of those three, Frollo is arguably the lesser of those evils.

Although it may be worth mentioning that Frollo has turned into a lich in DVV, and has created his equivalent to Greek Fire called Holy Flame. So he is going to be a big issue when he gets around to us.

Well the Horned King certainly can assault the mianland but I'd imagine his undead servants have some sort of limitations away from the mists of the Cauldron considering they haven't simply over-run Frollo's forces in canon.

As for Maleficent, it's probably more that she considers X region of Europe to be rightfully her as a Fae Lady. And Frollo attacking her is simply another form of entertainment. As a result she'd problaby only go on the offense against anybody if they managed to take land that she considers hers.

Are we really going to be the sole ruler of all that land? Holy shit.
Hahahahahahanope! That's all the land Jafar would have seized control of and placed his lackies and underlings in charge of.

Also, I did the rolls for the next update. It's... it's going to be something.

Weredrago and his fellow DVV GMs have been kind enough to allow me a channel in the main DVV server. I have a link here for it if anyone wants to drop by and discuss the wider DVV world.

yeah looking at it our most likely issue is Hades on the Horizon ( or possibly a Herc led Greece) and various Aladdin villains.
Abis Mal will be a massive annoyance unless we manage to lock him up once and for all. Cassim will be more of a wild card since as QM said, he wasn't caught up in the wish and the Forty Thieves only really made a big splash in the setting when they attacked the wedding to get the Oracle's scepter.

A Herc-led Greece would more likely be an ally than an enemy and as for Hades, would he even care about us?

Speaking about Aladdin villains, what about his father and the Fourty thieves? Those guys would be a headache to deal with.

Mozenrath strikes me as someone that's far more dangerous. He has a nation and without genie we don't exactly have a lot of magical firepower to fight him with.

his dad will probably be an issue sure... but not really a huge one. His band does only have 40 in it he has a history in his magiced up city state so no one is going to believe it's actually his dad (at least no one important that might hold it against him). And the knowledge about the Oracle and the hand of Midas will be VERY useful.

the Oracle if not used on the hand could tell us where Genie got sent to ( We'recoming ble buddy!) or maybe a clue as to why the convergence happened. It's a powerful plot device that can really help us out.

as for Greece being an ally? ... you do know it's ancient Greece right? They suffer from spending most of their time beating the shit out of each other and the gods well the proclivities of Greek gods are well known.

ideally they would leave us the hell alone and Herc would be their only representative.

worst case well Hades being an ambitious sort and God would be very difficult for us to deal with. and only slightly less dangerous would be if the Greek city states got their shit together because last time they got their shit together they produced Alexander the Great whom was know to conquer most of the known world and he didn't have a demigod.

the last thing we want to do is play the part of Persia.

anyways we should have a MASSIVE buffer between us and the guys in Africa... REALLY hoping prince of Egypt isn't going to count because I would rather not deal with the big man upstairs if it all possible.

To our far far north is Chernobog's domain. Which is certainly a no go zone. But usually he keeps to himself. Really really hope this portal is a one off thing.

Our Asian front is more or less secure India is a battle ground and the Huns are kinda surrounded right now asand honestly they're only packing normal dudes so not exactly the biggest theart.

Glad we didn't go for a sea born city because the pirates and EITC are going to be hell on the waves snd the less said about Atlantis and Neptune's domain the better. Let's keep our feet on terra firma I don't want to try and fight this.

no thanks I chose life.

and with them in play we really don't have to worry about Horned king doing anything.

all in all I think we're in a good position with only really the Huns in a position to maybe attack us if they won. If China won then we have a great trade partner and can open up the Silk Road.

Really my biggest concern right now is Chernebog. Because if that guy decides he wants to ruin our day and we don't even have Genie to hide behind? We're screwed. The master of Bald mountain is the biggest bad guy in the setting and is only constrained by the fact he can't move and he's not awake most of the time.

if he's awake every night now that's terrible. If he can open portals usually or Big man forbid actally leave the bald mountain? We best hope Herc and his dad are up for the biggest fight of their lives.

Huh a lot more real nations than I thought.

hopefully the marriage alliance with Agrabah still goes through. partly because Jasmine and Aladdin are a cute couple. Partly because the fact she has a tame tiger is going into my Omake and because an alliance between us would make us the dominant power in the region.

Huh is this modern world or past one @TempestK
Past, I'm using a map that has a modern world overlay on it to give people a better idea of locations. At least that's probably why the DVV site has it like that. Anyway, the key here is that Genie was looking to make Ababwa an equal to Agrabah, which has several vassal territories. Those areas are overseen in general by their own rulers and left alone, but if the Sultan puts out the call to arms against an invader, they come together as an army under his leadership. The same concept was applied when Genie spun up Ababwa.

Yeeeeeah, I'm letting that particular sleeping dog lie. I'mma have enough trouble with Frollo.
