Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

Well, there was also the Brigand Army cutting it's way through Ababwa's territory after being backed into a corner.
To be fair they where more of nuisance, Abwabua is not specifically located on a dangerous part of the world, and unless im mistaken the mirror kingdom still works as a buffer state between us and cheny.

While the Horned King was still occupied by stomping out the remains of Southern Resistance, Robin and Marian took advantage of his distraction by reaching out to the other holdouts against the Cauldronborn. They proposed that the cities band together against the necromancer and his hordes to increase their chances of victory against the menace, forming the Coalition of the Lion's Heart, in honor of King Richard I. For some, Marian's new status as the Heir Apparent sealed the deal, as they had heard of John's cowardly flight. For others, simply being requested to join such a force that not only consisted of the legendary Robin Hood and his Merry Men (sorry, Merry Persons), but also utterly defeated forces they had barely managed to hold off with much more advanced technology? They couldn't say yes faster.

Robin also took the time to send scouts southward and scout out potential spots for the Horned King to set up bases and possible routes for him to march his forces. The fact that these forces were undead were taken into account when making the maps. But, thanks to the diligent effort of the Merry Persons, a comprehensive map of the South has been created, allowing the new Coalition to defend more accurately when the Horned King marches north.

Marian also took this opportunity to make things better on the home front. Calling on the aid of all able-bodied hands, they went into the poor district and repaired all the rundown and broken houses. Nottingham now is more uniform and healthy-looking, a state reflected in its buildings as well as its people.

However, despite all these successes, time is running short. Although the Southern cities fought valiantly, one by one they fell to the Horned King's terrible presence and power. The last to fall was London itself. But, not even London's great defenders could stand against the Horned King's frightening magic and his overwhelming numbers. Now, the leaders of the Resistance are dead or imprisoned, with the Horned King standing supreme in Southern England. Now, with London as the new seat of his power, he sets his sights on the now-united northern lands to deal with these rebellious upstarts once and for all…

Coalition of the Lion's Heart formed! The North now gains a +10 against invasions due to a united front, with a +20 against undead forces.
Southern map created! With your knowledge of the lands to the immediate south of the front, you now have an advanced understanding of the Horned King's troop movements! +10 to any preparations made and advanced knowledge on ???!
Poor district repaired! Morale bonus gives a +5 to all actions next turn!
The Horned King has conquered the south! He will consolidate his forces before marching on the north to avoid a penalty!

A/N: Wow. I'm really churning these things out. If only Arendelle could be so easy... ah, well. Anyway, tensions are mounting! I wonder who's going to come out on top?

The Brigand Army kept us from focusing on developing our army, and had us divert resources to stabilize the Northern Satraps that would otherwise have been used to improve things like action economy and diplomatic outreach.

Whenever I see the word Lemuria I get Warhams flashbacks to a certain murderious tech priest.

Anyways it would probably be best if we discreetly poke at the GOO worshippers to figure out just how bad it is.

I had figured Hades as the big bad thing at the start of the quest but he seems completely bogged down with internal issues. So our new issue is going to be making sure Cuthul doesn't wake up.

You're totally right, I just lost track of events in the quest due to a bad memory.

Hades doesn't actually have far-reaching desire to unleash evil on the world. All else being equal, he doesn't want human civilization destroyed or anything.

His issue is that he has a massive beef with the Greek gods and was willing to do anything to defeat them... even if it meant unleashing monsters that would destroy human civilization if not stopped, and that were too powerful for much of anything except the gods themselves to hope to stop.

But having done that, he's not going to go on spreading destruction beyond the regions he's already imperiled recklessly.

Before I forget, Aladdin has been building up a pretty decent Occult score.

With the Occult resources around us, I see four different ways we can make use of it if we really want to.

The Agrabah Intrigue Advisor is really deep in the Using Magical Devices vein, and now that we've gotten stable diplomatic exchange going on we might be able to pay for some tips, tricks, and recommendations. Plus we have access to a really solid Alchemist it seems in our own Occult advisor. This is the Money option, because we'll need to spend a lot of it to get properly geared and to replace said gear when it gets broken or used up.

With Leah we're aware of internal to external magical expression, so Spellcasting basically. So far we're only really aware of natrual casters so we'd need to build up more of our magical infrastructure, actually take the "look for magic users" action, or find a ritual to unlock whatever internal force Aladdin may or may not have. This is likely the National Time Spending action, because we'll likely need to spend quite a few National actions before things have progressed enough for Aladdin to start learning.

Then we have Tai Lung, the Master of One Thousand Scrolls. One Abu gets rolling, we'll get to see the power of newly unlocked Chi and I doubt we'll be disappointed. This is the Personal Time Spending action, because even if we roll well for our Chi Unlock we'll still need to devote time to training and retraining to use and progress our new abilities (Spellcasting will also include elements of this, but still).

Our final option is to do all of the above, to some degree or another. Besides time invested, there's nothing really stopping us from pursuing all three of these paths at once to one degree or another.

Personally I'd like to see Aladdin attempt to unlock his chi sometime over the next three turns (next turn is the Language turn afaik, the turn after that will likely be the retry for Abu, then if that's successful Aladdin can try), and for us to begin industrial production of at least one potion.

I'd aprove of Chi unlocking, though I'd definitely agree with waiting at least til the turn after next, those language options are burning a hole in our action pocket. It'd just be great to have on our fightly heros. If the McCann brothers stick around, I'd also like to try it with them and Helga.

Looking for more spellcasters is fine, though for them I'm more willing to wait and see who wonders by. It's a little random for my tastes when we have Tai Lung around.

Magic tools are solid, but I'd worry about scaling up. I rather invest in technology or a mix of tech and magic. Guns are just so much easier mass produce and train people in, and we have a lot people that know how to use them, even if they might be too advanced for our nation at the moment. Likewise, electricity would be, well, I don't think it could be over stated how much electricity could potentially improve our nation.

At the same time, potions and magical medicine seem to scale well, so that's a direction I'd aprove of. If we can do something similar with enchanted weapons and armor, then tech drops on my priority list.

And we can't forget the Royal Menagerie. Right now it's mostly for entertainment and warbeasts, but there's potential for unheard of pharmaceutical uses for mythical and magical animals, or even their inherent abilities. We have a lot of options in this world, and we should see what we can exploit with our unique national assets. I think we can come up with some very strange and wonderful combinations of technology, magic and beasts.

And this is silly, but I have mental image of Aladdin riding the Sirrush into battle, but it's flying because of fairy dust, and Aladdin has a sword filled with chi in one hand and a flintlock in the other. I don't think it's realistic, but in this world it's possible, and now I want it.

Okay, so Awarding 6 XP to Green Baron, and 2 XP to Tireless. As for the "semi-canon" tag. Yes to Richard being in the holy Lands, no to the Assassin's Creed Assassin. That lore just doesn't fit at all. However Richard was away on the Crusade when the Upheaval happened, so that at least works.
Thanks.
Fair enough on the lore bit.
Honestly though, I just wanted an assassin in the omake. There was a reason I said that the mountain order in this current world was not the same as the one that the assassin was used too.
Edit.
Guess I can use the Old Man of the Mountain himself, aka Rashid ad-Din Sinan, if I now want to have an assassin.
Planning on writing a negaverse about Jerusalem/Richard you see. The hardest thing for tge moment is honestly finding good pictures for Rasid and for Saladin. Especially because they are both from Richards world and therefore anthropomorphic animals.

Anyway there is something I wonder a bit about @TempestK . I know how loyalty works in DoofQuest, but how does it work here. Does it work in the same way or is there some difference?

Also my talk about assassin made me wonder, will Aladdin be able to contact Almut? I do think we own the lands surronding it.

What, Richard the Lionheart?

Hard to say. Historically, the Matter of Britain (the set of stories that were eventually curated into what we now know as the 'King Arthur' mythos) was still coming together in his day in real life. What he'd say and think about the whole thing would be hard to predict.

Also, again, he is probably a literal talking anthropomorphic lion-man or something; I forget if he actually appears at all in the relevant iteration of Robin Hood.

The thing is that's King Arthur complete with a Merlin and burgeoning knights of the round.

Considering it is more than safe to say that England is in its time of greatest strife the emergence of a King Arthur would be rather big news for... everyone in Britain regardless of if they are Animal people or normal people.

Also keep in mind that this isn't real Richard the lionhearted whom was famously more attached to his French holdings then his English ones. This is the Disney rightful and proper king of England.

I imagine Arthur is quite busy organizing this Moshpir of different Versions of England. Not to mention the wider empire and what the Royal Navy and EIC are doing.

I'm honestly kind of interested in seeing how what remains of the Royal Navy reacts. Will they join with The once and future king of England or will they stay under the EIC and completely cut ties with England.

Aha, a fellow fan.
A pity we didnt saw him as much yes.
Anyway, when I saw that Iago becane a crime lord, my thoughts went to Arpeggio and so this art was born.
It's great.

When Iago does anything with his crime stuff he should be shown getting the outfit on or putting on a monocle. Getting into character.

Or a regular non criminal person interacting with Iago could notice him taking off a monocle, hiding it somewhere, or forgetting to take it off.

Moriarty: So who did you say we were meeting?

Sherlock: Someone with connections in the area. Has a network similar to yours. Goes by <sigh> Raptor.

Moriarty: So where are they then? This is the spot but there's nothing here but that parrot on the stand.

Sherlock: <Glaring at Iago> I have no idea. Hopefully they show up soon.

Iago: <Puts on cloak and monocle when Moriarty isn't looking> Hello gentlemen.

Moriarty: GAH!!! Where did you come from!

Sherlock: <face palming> oh god...
