Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

Yep. 20 martial normally. 40 if he is in personal combat. 50 if he is trying to take the person he's fighting alive.

I think he's probably going on every adventure...

No clue. I don't think I had seen any kung-fu panda elements till this update.
Assuming it's a martial heavy adventure. Not every excursion involves punch-ploding people. Also he's not exactly the most subtle of individuals and there will be cases where getting in and out unseen is best.

Yes, yes, if we take out everyone no-one iwll know we're there (heard that line before). You know what I mean.

At full performance, he is still the closest Martial equivalent Aladdin got to Doofquest´s Genghis Khan...definitely something good for us.

Oh damn this was a good turn. Love all the new hero units we've picked up. I'm most interested in how Tai Lung's arc is going to go here.

Tai Lung and Leah, research partners!

That was my idea as well, yes.

As for José, he is basically a fixture for any Quest team with his "buffing trait"

But even the blacksmith's efforts paled in comparison to a robed figure that was absolutely tearing bandits to pieces! Precise punches, kicks and strikes with the knees and elbows laid them low. Every gap in their defences was picked apart, dismantling entire groups at a time. When the fighter was hard pressed and the bandits had brought in spears, he actually ran up the wall and then kicked off, sailing over their heads to land at their backs with only the faintest of whispers, before lashing out with pinpoint strikes to the backs of the spearmen. Unless Aladdin's eyes were playing tricks on him in the heat of battle, each strike was accompanied by a faint wash of blue light emanating from the point of contact, before the person struck dropped in a convulsing heap.
Oh, I wonder who this is. I think it is the main character from Prince of Persia. I mean he is acrobatic, and I doesn't know that much about him so he may very well have some magic artifact that creates a blue light.
The figure paused, then grasped the edges of his hood with gloved hands, pulling it down, and causing Aladdin and his troops to boggle at the craggy brow and almost sheepish expression upon the muzzle of the humanoid snow leopard that stood before them, sighing in satisfaction as he removed his gloves to reveal the furred paws they had concealed. Once they were removed, the Snow Leopard clapped them in front of him and bowed deeply at the waist.

"I am called Tai Lung, my Prince."
...Okay
That was not who I were expecting. Especially beacause he is so... calm.
...

What in Allah's name was haggis?
Bwahaha!
...Who? I have never heard of him before.
Wait a second. Is he from the Count of Monte Cristo?
As well as to see the kind of kingdom he served. As for who I am..." The man gave a mocking half-bow, never taking his eyes off of Haroud. "The King of Thieves."
Well isnt this a bit ironic. The father visits the sons kingdom without any of them knowing their relationship.
Here, come here!" The light reoriented and zipped towards her. As it got closer, Leah saw that it wasn't merely a light, but a tiny winged child, face a mask of fear and tears before barely avoiding smacking into Leah's face, and instead zipping behind her hair to hide at the nape of the young woman's neck. The crow, not to be denied, cawed harshly, diving at Leah.

"Stop that! Stop that this instant!" The bird didn't appear inclined to do so, and as it came in for another dive, Leah saw that its eyes were pure pools of red that trailed wisps of black smoke. "Ah! Get away! Get away!" Leah swatted at the not-bird, earning a vicious peck to her hands, before it darted around, clawing at her hair in an attempt to drive the tiny pixie out of hiding.
I am not sure who the pixie is or where the crow-like being come from.
Interesting that we managed to capture the birdlike being though.

Well it's Villains *Almost* Victorious and what was Tai Lung after? The Dragon scroll.

If his victory could be considered obtaining and understanding the lesson in said scroll, the guy might have just left the Valley to try and find a new purpose to his life as a result.

I was wondering something. If Diamond in the Rough activates on crits, and did so for Martial and Diplomacy, why not the same for Occult?

Also, more of an observation, but Ragetti and Pintel went West. Sinbad is there too. What do you suppose are the odds that they signed on with his crew? I would suggest Nemo as well, except I can't imagine him of all people willingly accepting them on his submarine.

Been stalking this quest for a bit. Hello, all!

What area does the "Northern Satraps" entail, exactly? Iranian Caucasus? Central Asia? Do we have access to the Caspian, now?

If you look at the map on the Informational titled "Immediate Area" then you'll see Ababwa. The Northern Satraps are, generally those that are to the north (not trying to be a dick here); so yes, you guys now have access to the Caspian Sea; and all that entails.

Thanks for update!
And I can only say "Wow".

I, for one, would prefer to stay as far from seas as possible, at least for now. I really don't want to be involved in that mess.
Glad you liked it! And in regards to the port cities, well it's a good thing the Caspian is an inland Sea, isn't it?

Not to mention right on the opposite side of the Caspian from Iran is Russia. Chernabog's realms reaching down into the Caucuses also cuts us off from using it as an inroad to Europe.

Really, the Caspian brings many dangers. Getting better access to the trade routes of Central Asia seems more valuable right now.

EDIT: Oh, looking at Wikipedia, the area around the Caspian is especially rich in oil. Might be something worth selling to Atlantis or other industrialized powers, if we can get the infrastructure set up.

The North was something that needed handled; the chaos and despair there would have been problematic later on. We might have something similar happening to the West (East should be safe for the moment, what with the dragon being dead.)

See? I told you guys we should have done Diplomacy with Queen La before it was too late! Now look what's happened! We've completely lost the chance to do it!

Okay, can you stop bringing this up already? Yes, we did shoot one of her men first. But she immediately decided to attack us over it, and have you forgotten she also turned our men? That was completely disproportionate as a reaction!
Swordfish said:
Yeah, dude, I know you're super-into the idea of Hub becoming her consort or something, but that was already pretty unlikely an idea for him to entertain even if there were no other hostilities between us. Plus I think she might already be shacking up with her champion anyways?
TheOneInTheMiddle said:
Also, um, you never said anything about "before it was too late." You just kept voting for it and saying that you thought it was a good idea. that doesn't mean everyone has to agree with you about that. And yeah, maybe it'd be better if it didn't descend into an outright war, but what's done is done. Honestly I'm not sure at what point we could have prevented her from turning our men.
BlackBakeneko said:
...wait, do you think we could have gotten super leopard soldiers from this?
Swordfish said:
Well, in canon they were actually leopards turned into men, not the other way around. So I have no idea if we could have gotten leopard soldiers who still had their minds intact.

She wasn't being unreasonable! We killed and skinned one of her men like a common animal! Of course she'd be mad about it! We just kept doing things to earn her wrath. I hope you guys are happy about these results!
BlackBakeneko said:
Wait, did she even know we autopsied one of them? Also we didn't eat him, right? It's not like people didn't autopsy normal human corpses back then if there was something weird about their bodies.
Swordfish said:
Wait, are leopards even edible?
TheOneInTheMiddle said:
Pretty sure we did the autopsy somewhere far away her scouts wouldn't have seen it. Plus, yeah, I'm pretty happy about those results? Yeah, we had a battle, but we rolled really well in it and probably managed to repel her for good. And we're leaving soon anyways.
ktigre_alpha said:
Yeah, dude, stop trying to make everything about your ship not being canon, okay? It's not like this was going to be a permanent settlement or anything. How much do you bet she'd go full yandere if we tried leaving after earning her favor?
ActiveAdventurer said:
Yeah, for the record, I'll say that if you'd ended up with some kind of agreement with Queen La, there'd be a lot more complications about leaving apart from simple logistics.
LeopardLover said:
So you're saying we had a chance?

A/N: I said I was gonna do it in the Discord. Username parodies are not intended to reflect particularly upon their counterparts, I just scrolled through a page and selected some random names I could think of counterparts for.

Actually, what's everyone's goals for Ababwa?

I'm personally treating this like an EU4 game with Disney stuff added on; continue to secure the Iranian Plateau and Central Asian Plains, while developing the state apparatus. Nurture the love between Aladdin and Jasmine, and therefore the marriage alliance between Ababwa and Agrabah. Once a personal/marriage union is realized, start turning that into a real union (IE putting all of Arabia and Iran, and maybe Mesopotamia since it's between the two, under the same government). Arabia and Iran together are sitting at the center of some pretty rich trade routes, and we can secure even more by colonizing down the East African coast. Use that money to build the bureaucracy, encourage industrialization, improve quality of life for our citizens, ensuring our state will last (perhaps encourage a Pan-Islamic/Middle Eastern Identity? Build a constitutional monarchy?), all that jazz. Badda-bing, badda-boom: Great Power Time.

Well this was a really nice turn for us.

3 new heroes really help with that situation.

Tai Lung is a surprise but a welcome one, he is our current best martial hero in a fight, our best learning hero when dealing with his specialty and not bad at all in occult.
Considering he seems to be seeking redemption he should be the hardest hero to manage, just once in a while allow him to show off his stuff and lets try to not hit his big personals issues.

José Faria is even more of a surprise but not less welcome, a good Diplo/Learning hero with a really nice teaching gimmick as long as we are okay with the heroes not being able to do Nationals.
I would say we should wait until he is in better health to give him a student and maybe also until we have enough heroes to put 1 per National.

Leah seems to be a good generalist for the moment with some really nice situational traits and a lot of growth potential.

As long as nothing gets set on fire during the RR we probably can go on an adventure next turn.
We currently have 2 available "On a Wing and a Prayer" and "Around the World Map" of those two I think Around the World Map seems to be the most interesting its something that probably would help Will on the long run and lead us to multiple shinnies.

For the adventure team I was thinking:
- Aladdin
- Tai Lung
- William Turner
- Iago

This doesn't seem the riskiest adventure we will have so its seems okay to send Aladdin to stretch his legs and hang out with with some of the heroes.
Tai Lung since he brings weight to fights and field work seems great for him
William for some Stewardship, out of combat martial.
Iago is mostly for the Intrigue if it turns out we have the option of trying to get things discretely and if things degenerate into a fight the rest of the team should be able to hold their own.

This would leave us with José and Leah for Nationals. José because he should rest and heal and Leah since I don't think this quest will deal with her specialty of plants/animals/fey compare with the other one.

I completely agree with this setup for Around the World Map.

And Naturally, Leah is going after the Heart-shaped Herb, and boy does she have the skill for it if e assume such an herb does have magical properties.
