Was it intentional that despite asking about it in the Paln Vote, Halla didn't actually bring up the Curse with Jerasmus?
It was not, my bad.

There's not much he can do to evict the creature wearing your Mother's face as, without the blessing of the home owner, he is powerless. If it was a Christian land, then it would be different.

Agreed, it's unlikely that we'll spend all of that Odr in this stretch anyway, unless we get in a tough fight.

In an emergency, we can try to power a Trick using it though, Firebomb Strike fueled with Odr would probably be something wild
I think Odr fueled Runes is also a possibility. Odr is apparantly the color of runes.

Is Halla's eyes permanently red or did they go 'back to normal'?

Also, Aki Runson is likely also able to help out. He was able to look into our soul with (Seeing Eyes?), so he might have some insights on the state of our soul. Since it's now 'alive'.

So.. we need to somehow convince our father that he's cursed and we need to break the curse? (Hugr: Silver Tongue. Difficulty: Lolno)

Or find alternate measures. Welp.

This is, unironically, a solution to the problem.

You can also try to beat it up.

... What kind of skills would be required to actually bring a Lawsuit against such a ghost?

I'm presuming we're going to Resolve This Shit right now, because fuck leaving this thing to prey on our family any longer, but having a good variety of Methods won't hurt.

Nah, I think we can convince him that there is a curse, where the plan fails is convincing him to allow a Christian to help with it.

Nah, I think it's better to solve it for ourselves in this context. I sincerely doubt this thing can hurt a member of the household that's on guard for it and doesn't spend all their time around the house. But we still have a legal claim to face it.

I think we need to carve runes in our soul somehow in which to cycle our Odr. The obvious things to investigate/experiment with would be our Muna, feats, and our base stats.

I mean, given our whole idiom, I feel like we should maybe set the ghost on fire.

Might be kinslaying.. also would involve fighting in our old home.

Definitely not on the first, it's not her just wearing her face. Plus you can't slay the dead, I don't think. The second might be an issue with the 'set it on fire' plan, I admit.

Oh definitely, agreed entirely, I was just saying we can probably convince Dad he's cursed...that 'he won't believe he's cursed' was not why Jerasmus couldn't help.

Sitting down with Jerasmus before you, he begins to read the Bible to you.

...So, the Christians' God created their world in six days? Out of nothing?

That's kinda lame. At the very least he could've used the corpse of something he killed!

The more you learn of their God — who lacks a name! — the happier you are to have been born Norse
two things: 1 I feel like creating something out of nothing is way more cool
2: Jeremiah must not be very knowledgeable because god has many names Elohim, Jehovah, EL SHADDAI, but then again I'm willing to bet that since he's not a cultivator he's not actually delved into the names of god and the multifaceted nature of god probably knows about angelology though since he thinks the cold is caused by an angel and it's known that the virtues are the angels that control the natural forces and being spirits of motion as well as assisting god in the governing of nature.

he should have started off with the powers lmao

Steinarr is the primary target, and one of the first things it started doing was making him suspicious and aggressive. The others are gloomy but haven't straight up collapsed into a wreck like he has. I don't think the problem will be solved by going to him first, unless we can acquire Evidence.

But serving a Lawful Eviction Notice to the Ghost as it is Unlawfully Squatting upon the properties of Steinarr Freedfire, and inflicting Suffering and Dismay upon its Lawful Inhabitants in defiance of Guest-Right. It must immediately vacate the premises or be held in Arrest pending Final Judgement. Is both hilarious and incredibly Norse.

I just want to know what kind of dice are involved in that kind of play, you know?

I personally think the Norse creation mythos is pretty awesome, honestly.

Er...Jerasmus is absolutely a cultivator, and a powerful one. Most Christians actively avoid naming their God, though...certainly in this era.

I'm down for evicting the ghost and serving it a restraining order assuming we can manage it, yeah.

Jerasmus might actually be an angel.

His powerlevel is definitely higher than the random priest we met.

Well, if need be we could also let Hallr Blackhand do the talking. Although that has it's own issues.

In unrelated notes, our Hamr rolls continued to be Blessed, it'll be very difficult for us to fail to level it up in time for the Murderkittens. And Hamr 6 should be enough to sharply mitigate the risk of serious harm even with three 15-20 pound murderkittens appearing suddenly.

I don't think there's a lot of Norse women with Hamr 5, let alone 6!

Silver-Tongue (to convince), Barb-Tongue (to needle the opposition), and Composure (to keep your cool). It helps if you have some kind of argument trick.

Also is handy to have silver on hand for bribes and also some knowledge of Glima, in case someone tries to make an especially in-your-face argument (or you to someone else).

You are correct.

I'll tell you one thing, a small hint, weaving is traditionally a womanly art.

Back to normal

...

We could weave a Net!

And Catch it and drag it out!
