Translation: The dice were against us and we found a way to come out on top anyway, through making our actions nigh-on failure-proof through liberal application of bonuses.

Hopefully the dice fall nicer in the Foundry mini-turn.

It serves as a nice illustration that Ciaran's manipulation of the future is pretty darned frightening, I wonder how many folks are aware of her grasp on their fates?

Nah, they'll adopt the battlecry of the fiercest Kalee warrior to ever exist: "Pew pew pew!"

EDIT: By the way, was there an omake written for our second new Abysswalker this turn? I've found the ones Whumbly wrote for one of them, but can't find anything for the other one.
EDIT 2: Nvm, found the other one. It will be interesting seeing what bonuses they might get for the Foundry raid.

Oooh, what pages were those on? I think I missed them.

I think most of the Ocelot crowd is motivated because people don't see PR9 as particularly child like or bishounen.

I see PR standing at Ciaran's shoulder listing off reasons what she's trying probably won't work or is a bad idea. Providing info and analysis with a tiny bit of snark while shadowing Ciaran. Counting down her expenses and declining bank accounts in real time much to her chagrin, peaking up at unexpected profits, etc.

Not particularly fond of either of the leading candidates tbh. The "looks basically human" style android isn't something I've ever felt was part of Star Wars (Yes, I know about Cheriss, but she's a life-form, not a droid), though the EU is stupid enough that I'm sure it's out there. Droids are robots. They ought to look like robots, silly crit or not, at least with Star Wars.

Also really don't get why either of them are options, though I admit I don't know the (anime?) reference of 9S. Look of that one just does not make sense for PR-1.

Edit:

[X] PR-Ocelot

Might as well, because while I don't like either I really don't like 9S.

It makes sense because 9S (of Nier Automata) has a somewhat similar personality to PR-1.

I dont really like it either, but PR-1 Marquis has clearly lost at this point, so only those two are left.

Since it seems like a wave of cynicism has hit the thread I want to reassure people that no matter what option wins I will make it work. (And as a fan of both franchises the leading "designs" are from the appropriate in-jokes will be made as well).

If PR-Ocelot wins: "Cheriss, would you care to explain to me why you turned my diplomatic assistant into Garm Bel Iblis' brother? Or why he's doing those weird finger-gun gestures more often? Did you program him to imitate Tyro?"

If PR-9S wins: "Cheriss, would you care to explain to me why my diplomatic assistant now looks like a teenage boy? And why does he have the blindfold? And I get that he's much smarter now but he's been looking at philosophical studies a lot more and I'm starting to get worried, what is up with that?"

Cherisss inevitable answer will be roughly this:
