[X] Arla, Dani, and Riphath. Between the three of them and their various talents tracking down Ahsoka will be easy. The only question is if they can get her to safety...

[X] The Diamond Deception cantina. No one would think to look there of all places given that it's just one cantina in the sprawling Undercity, and it's noticeably closer to Ahsoka's location. It's not exactly as defensible though if anything happens.

-[x] And, of course, we'll be there. Serving drinks. Just like the good old days.

[x] Ciaran and Thrawn. It will take them some time to track down Ahsoka given that they weren't immediately nearby but they can easily convince her to come with them and they can handle themselves. That being said anything could happen before they reach her...

[x] The main base in the Undercity. It's the furthest away from where Ahsoka will come into the Undercity but it is undoubtedly the most secure location and it would make it easy to ship Ahoska off-world if things came to that. All they'd have to do is make it there.

[X] Asajj and Koliya. Between Asajj's combat skill and Koliya's cunning it would not take them too long to find and extract Ahsoka safely. That being said she may not take the fact that Asajj is alive very well...
[X] Borvo's palace. Whoever's after Ahsoka hopefully wouldn't dare to earn the ire of the Hutts, and besides that the building is very secure between the systems installed by its previous owner, the new ones Borvo added, and the Watcher security. It's closer than the base in the Undercity but still a ways away.

Right then, with a strong lead an in the interest of trying to keep up the pace I'm calling the vote. Looks like Team Arla's going to be taking the spotlight for a bit!

Now that that's over there's some other things I wanted to comment on. First:

Hey @Dr. Snark, you had asked for artwork? Well, I did happen to shit something out today ...

I call this "Wesker vs. the Firekeeper". Happy? No? Neither am I but it's the thought that counts. At least that's what I tell myself. :p

yay

it only took 585 pages but finally I have a fanart! go me!

In all sincerity Flood your efforts are greatly appreciated, and I think it would be a crime if you didn't get a +10 bonus for it.

(TBH I was betting that someone would go for the 'faux movie poster' option first but shows what I know right?)

Second, more just an irreverent comment than anything else:

Whenever I picture the Diamond Deception in my mind, I end up seeing the Akuda Bar from Beyond Good and Evil.

Honestly if you fired up the Beyond Good and Evil soundtrack a lot of it would fit the tone for pretty much the rest of this arc perfectly.

So for those of you who aren't aware of said soundtrack, go look it up. It kicks ass. Also the game is really good too.

Frankly, IMO what sealed the deal with that fan art, was how disturbing Wesker looked, in contrast to how his 'expy' counterpart ought to have looked like. :p

For me, it's his seeming lack of an upper lip. I mean, the lower one is clearly defined, but he just doesn't seem to have an upper lip, so he can't properly sneer or whatever that facial expression is called. I don't know why, but that missing lip just makes the image so much more...Star Wars for me. I know I'm a bit off - after all, I'm a member of this site and SB - but I just feel weird about this, you know?

Well it's plot fits in here. A plucky young girl is swept up into a secret war between a underground resistance with a network of informants, infiltrators and sympathisers in high places against a government that threatens the people it swore to protect (though that would make Sidious the counterpart to the terror spreading, soul draining and mind controlling Domz species that government allied with/is subservient to).

Of course whether the bar that serves as the secret headquarters of the resistance has a large anthropomorphic cow in really cool sunglasses as its bartender is still up for debate.

I'm glad my mediocre artistic skills are acceptable to you two. For me, every time I look at it it just reminds me that, "Ehh... It's not stick people but... it's two levels above. Maybe."

I mean, stick people are pretty much the limits of my artistic skills, so I'm not in any position to judge (well, I can do decent blueprints and sometimes insignias with a ruler and some graph paper, but I don't think that really counts).

I mean, Sidious actively spreads terror and dominates the minds of others through both the Force and more conventional methods. That's two out of three right there. And honestly he'd probably drain people's souls if he could, so...

If you wanted it to, it could. A ruler is all you need to draw a building. Do it a few more times and you have a town. It just takes time. Material landscapes are a lot more easy for me than Organic anything.

A day in the life life of Sheev Palpatine:
6:00 Wake up and prepare for the day,
7:00 Spread terror among the senate, interns and miscellaneous errand people,
13:30 Take a short break for lunch and meditations on how much you hate the Jedi.
14:00 Dominate the minds of the galaxy through force tricks and mass media
20:00 Brainstorm ways to be more cartoonishly evil.
21:00 Turn in for the night, you're not as young as you used to be. Dream of malevolent plots and the screams of innocents as they are electrocuted.

Actually
Is it possible for us to recruit Finis Valorum as a potential asset? Or at the very least, convince Finis Valorum to join the anti-Palpatine group? He may have been an ineffective Supreme Chancellor but he was still a Supreme Chancellor. I would imagine that he may have a few influential contacts we can use.

I believe (if we follow TCW Canon instead of his fate in Legends) that Palpatine already knows how much of a threat Valorum would be if he spoke out. Judging by the amount of Senate Guards at his residence I'd imagine that he's under unofficial house arrest in a comfortable gilded cage (for security reasons of course) and everything he does is monitored by Isard's Agents.

Edit: Ah and he may be even more unpopular than the original timeline as he got the blame for the Huk War Scandal.

Also, I'm pretty sure if it went as per canon, Valorum died in a

And they changed it, wunderbar.

Question!

Looking over the last turn, I realized that we weren't given the option of creating a Factory for Droideka's. This is a rather terrible oversight given we got Droideka designs from Metallorn.

I have to ask. Can we build a factory dedicated to those wonderful bronzium murder rollers next turn?

Um...you just got the designs the last turn. I literally could not have made that an option at the time.

so, how many platoons of droids do we have? or, how many droids have we supplied the neutrals with?
Droid Units:
10 B1 Battle Droid squads (Tier 2) + 2 per turn (Stored at Coruscant, Cap 10)
3 OOM Battle Droid squads (Tier 2) + 3 per turn (Stored at Cato Nemodia, Cap 15)
2 OOM Battle Droid squads (Tier 2) + 2 per turn (Stored at Lordran)
3 B2 Super Battle Droid groups (Tier 3) + 3 per turn (Stored at Cato Nemodia, Cap 15)
4 B2 Super Battle Droid groups (Tier 3) (Stored at Lordran)
2 CB-3 Droid groups (Tier 3) (Stored at Lordran)
2 BX Commando Droid groups (Tier 3) + 1 per turn (Stored at Lordran)
1 Dwarf Spider Droid "Hive" group (Tier 3)

You know we really should plan a mission to the Colicoid homeworld to steal some of those droid designs that they keep so close to the chest that they only use them on their homeworld.
