Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Well, you could look up what this 'third' vote SB's come up with and vote that.

Nah, that option leads to this.

You can make that a write-in, but… that's probably going to have some interesting repercussions down the line. Not you-angered-the-GM-so-now-I'm-going-to-fuck-you-over "interesting", but legitimately weird, and you may still not like it. And it will outright kill the Coil quest in the short term.

And when a GM says "interesting" I take it the worse possible way and I rather not go down that way.

Yeah, that is part of the problem I did have with the update, but meh.

Honestly, Taylor has no history with Lisa and shouldn't have taken her shit at all, the top option believe her doesn't really seem right if you take that into account.

Which is why I wished there was a third option that could honestly work, the fuck both of them option. Where we shoot Lisa was non lethal fire, drop her off to the PRT and tell them she was digging for our secret identity and tell them she has information about Coil and when she gets killed we will know she was right so we could prepare to search for Coil and level his entire fucking base with non lethal fire beams.

... Honestly I can see why that is a somewhat of bad option since it would make Taylor feel responsible for Lisa's death, but it may be the best outcome and might give the PRT the chance to actually be competent and weed out the moles before Lisa dies. But there are many ways that could go down that might not end up with Lisa dead.

And no, I am not calling for Lisa's death. I just want Taylor to actually react to Lisa's bullshit she spouted trying to get her to help her. Instead of going like this.

Lisa: Your a crazy psychopath murderer in the making, please help me!

Taylor: I believe you!

I personally liked the "Calamity Witch! Help me! Save me from the evil monster who keeps me enslave, you monster! Here, let me compare you to a couple of famous people: Oni Lee, Lung, Coil(that monster who keeps me enslaved) and Heartbreaker(that dark take on harem anime with lots of rape and mindfuck). Y u believe me with no evidence nao?" part. It provided us with a lot of precious insight into what is truly in Taylor's head:

That being said...
What we've seen Taylor do is ignore everything Tattletale does and jump straight to her questions. She has a conversation with her in which she clearly has problems with the bullshit she spouts, sure, but she STILL TALKS TO THE DAMN VILLAIN THINKER. "I'm psychic" does not defend you from "rains of plasma", but you can hardly rain plasma if someone you care about is locked away somewhere and only the villain telling you to do shit can keep their brain from being extracted through the means of a 9mm surgery.

Even if Taylor doesn't know about the Unwritten Rules, she should know better than let a completely unknown villain figure out her family ties and secret identity, like Tattletale is clearly trying to do. She can't have a Barrier Jacket all the time, and knowing her identity is the first step to hiring someone to assassinate her. Even simple "If you try to attack me, your identity will be made public! Be a nice puppy and go back to your dog house until I call you. Wouldn't want Heartbreaker to find out, would we? Wonder what would happen if he were to recognize you in a crowd?" is already bad enough.

Dunno what to vote for, but definitely don't want Tt to just get away with things. Never really did like her.

Also am I the only one that is annoyed at people seemingly missing the fact that when everyone reveals their ID's to her she is always fucking lies to their faces because Lisa is not her real name?

On the one hand, I understand that. On the other, the common behavior of most people voting, then not coming back for the discussion, means that once a bad idea gets bandwagoned, it's almost impossible to stop. Hence why getting back to the voters with clarifications in short order is kind of important. Make sense?
It does make sense, which is why I'm checking in periodically. But I do have other things to do besides sit at my computer and constantly refresh the page, you know?

I already said it wasn't going to be the worst possible outcome…. Why does no one believe me when I say that?

[X] Believe her – Everything she has said sounds above-board. You can't completely rule out that there were lies mixed in, and it wouldn't hurt to have Perfect Storm do some digging of its own for verification, but you'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Whenever a GM says a path is going to be interesting, I take it as stated in an old Chinese curse. "May you live in interesting times"
Interesting, could be good or bad but it will cause interest.

How about this?

[] Trust no one – Verify everything you've been told before making a decision. You don't trust either party in this situation, but you can't completely rule out that Tattletale is telling the truth. And it wouldn't hurt to have Perfect Storm do some digging of its own for verification, so you'll take a rain check for now.
-[]But make it clear that she's the one asking you for help, so it's best for her to watch what she says and who's secrets she's throwing around. You're well within your rights to take her down right now since she's prying into your secret identity and she's a Villain, so it's best for her to keep that in mind.

It's a good middleground, and if Lisa can't accept our compromise in this situation then tough luck.

step one. get rid of coil
step two. redeem tattletale via massed concussive force
step three. ????
step four A. new member, Scallywag lass
step four B. hand her to Prt

I said all of that from the start.
Let me put it side-by-side for you. Pay attention to the bolded segments.
I don't like Lisa, at least from the position Taylor is in right now, or the box. Thus, I'm proposing a third path.

Actually, it's not. If Lisa disappears, or is killed, we attack Coil, remember? It makes her untouchable. And she can use it to attack Coil. Which she'll have to do - the other option is death. See, it's a maneuver. We put this info to PRT. If it gets back to Coil (his reach is often overstated by a lot), it'll also get back to Lisa. The problem is that Coil won't be able to do anything to Lisa, at least for a week or two, or we'll assume it's him, and attack him. After that, however, he'll definitely kill / dispose / Dinah her. And Tattletale would know this. She could either skip town (we attack Coil due to her disappearance), or she could use her everything to ruin Coil in the time he can't touch her.

Basically? It forces Lisa's and Coil's feud from a cold war with long plays into Xanatos speed-chess with nuclear grade chess pieces. They'll destroy each other.
1) We give PRT the info. Two possible outcomes:
a) It doesn't get out - PRT are actually competent. They verify the intel they got with their thinkers, and start a molehunt. This harms Coil, but we likely ally with him in a way, as he doesn't do anything to Lisa. We definitely ruin a lot of his plans. We cash some brownie points with PRT.
b) It gets to Coil - he's not stupid. He knows that if Lisa disappears or is killed soon after PRT got the message, we'll blame him. Yet, he'll know that Lisa is working against him on a more active basis than he assumed before. Lisa will know it too. This gives Lisa a little window of opportunity to try and save her life. Also to f*ck with us as a revenge. Lisa is definitely capable of both. She'll have to salt the ground, as it was, but I don't doubt she can do it.
You may think you did, but you didn't. None of us can read your mind, you have to spell everything out, otherwise we don't . If you really think these two are identical, you've got problems.

We essentially just were in a cape fight, where Lisa destroyed all of our privacy and endangered our life. We are fully justified in putting her down.
Also still proving Lisa right, by knee-jerk escalating when defensive.

I am tentatively liking this.

I like this option, and Lisa really needs to know how to turn the bitchiness off for a while.

-[X] Begin by telling her that if we were really as crazy as she says we are, she would probably be dead right now. Possibly ask her if the cops and robbers thing is how the world works, or just how she wants it to work. We are already moving carefully to minimize the probability and potential impact of our actions beginning a gang war, but leaving things as they are is an even worse option no matter what she tries to tell herself.

Eh why not. Lisa needs to learn good communicating skills anyway. Pissing off everyone you meet isn't a good thing.

Once we level up Wide Area Search a bit more, we should have an edge against Coil.

And throwing the same attitude right back at her is? Going "I ought to blast you right now" is basically proving that we're a kill-happy crazie.

But that's not what we're saying though. All it's saying is that we have no obligation to help her, and she's really not making it easy to do so when she's actively trying to piss us off.

At the very least she'll come to understand that we won't take her shit. And if not, we can wash our hands of the situation and leave Lisa to her fate.
