If you used telepathy on one of the Privateers, you would disrupt Danny's power's effect. But the connection between a cape and a shard? Inviolable except by bonding to a Device.

The link between mage and Device is incompatible with the dimensional connection between parahuman and shard.

I've mentioned it before, but Perfect Storm can produce template-bearing Devices. Just not very often, and you are stuck with the four templates and can't branch out into other fields.

New York was an option if you had attacked the Simurgh, and especially if you shot her with Solar Wrath. But you didn't.

That worked out rather well, I think. Substantially more discussion about the whys and wherefores than we probably would have gotten otherwise, and I personally loved reading all of it. Not least because right now, the city-quests are fairly bare bones, but I've gotten several ideas over the last 24 hours. :evil:

Now it's time to vote for real. If you voted when I told you not to, you better do it again because those votes won't get tallied. In case anyone needs a reminder, here are the choices:

[ ] Boston. Stick around with Armsmaster, Dauntless, Gallant, and New Wave. Sure, it's stable, but that just means it should be easier to uproot the local villains.

[ ] Philadelphia. Follow Miss Militia and Vista. Work with Chevalier and deal with the upsurge in "Case 53s". You just hope no one confuses Samantha for one.

[ ] Chicago. Follow Assault and Clockblocker. You'll spend most of your time dealing with regular gang violence. Solar Wrath might not be the best spell here.
 
[X] Philadelphia. Follow Miss Militia and Vista. Work with Chevalier and deal with the upsurge in "Case 53s". You just hope no one confuses Samantha for one.

This seems to be a trend. We've met her all of once, before the Simurgh fight.
I'd ask why the obsession with Vista, but then I remembered this is the site that came up with Adfligo Systema's Sabrina.

My guess? Because as much as some people on SV and SB pretend that they're steely-eyed, calculating planners, many many many are actually soft-hearted teddy bears who see a little girl in distress and just want to give her a hug and make everything better. And since this is the internet, said girl being fictional just makes that drive even stronger.

As much as I want to go for Chicago, it would only be because I I am Dresden Files fan, and Vista needs our support right now.

FOOLS! It's OBVIOUS that we're doing this because we want to protect that girl's smile!!!

...Really, we should try to make friends with some heroes, and MM and Vista give us the easiest way to do that. If we can also help cheer her up, that would be a definite bonus.

Hm. Not interested in dealing with Accord, so Boston isn't the top of my list. However, it's higher than Chicago (I have even less interest in Myrrdin). Philly's C53 issues intrigue me the most, so:
