An exalted Greater Daemon of Dracul that has a single-minded purpose to hunt, destroy, or consume 'light', the light being daemons of the chaos gods or other divine beings, mortal divine champions, artefacts of power, etc. Has been very successful, and thanks to always talking about light, he has gained the name 'Lightbane' even if the sorcerer that gave him his title is not yet born, through that doesn't really matter.
well now, that fucker is scary as shit eh? a litteral hunter of champions of other gods....magnus better watch his back or get eaten by this exalted. And yesh, definetly worthy of the title of exalted of dracul, hope these daemons are more saneish then the daemons of chaos and such.

Most of your daemons are, but Lightbane is on another scale of insanity because, once he sets his eyes on a target, he will never stop hunting them. The only way to make it stop is by giving a much 'brighter' target, and even that is only temporary, to Lightbane wasting his entire existence on being the insane lone hunter is perfectly fine.
He will never raise armies or rule chiefdoms in the warp or in the mortal realm. His entire 'purpose' is to hunt, kill, and consume nothing more, nothing less.
[X] To stop the ritual: primary goal, stop whatever fuckery the khornates are doing.
-[x] to start with, buff all the undead with whatever spells and sorcery the necromancers can conjure
-[x] Giants are to throw whatever chunks of rock they can at the walls AND within the city-scape in hopes to disrupt whatever the hell is going on inside, such rituals are...finicky and even the slightest disruption can cause it to go array.
-[x] However have a few giants aim to at the gates and walls at key points, zombie tides are to swarm the as fast and hard as possible, skeleton warriors provide overwatch with a walking constant barrage of arrows (fire by ranks)
-[x] Once the walls are breached or if enough of a ramp is made, the grave guard is to open up the breaches to allow the black knights to charge forth to wherever the ritual is taking place. We are on a time limit here, and ensure every kill made does not bleed as much as they can. Also during the attack raise any dead that they come across to use as fodder against the daemons.
-[x] Necromancers that remain are to try and contest the ritual, or at least force the khornates to do MORE work to summon whatever greater daemon they are trying to utilize, all the while the rest of them strategically banish and/or curse the enemy forces to allow maximum damage against the enemy.
-[x] Once the walls are breached and the gatehouses secure, giants are to "Carefully" provide heavy artillery to whatever positions are needed to either crush or demolish pathways to the ritual site.
--[x] On the way, free any slaves and ensure that as few sacrifices get to the ritual site as much as possible to prevent any warp summoning.
---[x] If the ritual site is secure, taint it towards Dracul or siphon the power away as "conquest" against the horrors of the warp (if at all possible and the necromancers think its worthwhile, this is a bonus objective)
note: In the event of Summoning a Greater daemon, throw all the giants at it and hope to Dracul that enough curses and banishment spells can send it back home to the warp weakened and humiliated before Khorne.
Before the start of the siege, all the necromancers cast spells to augment their forces. They wove dark magic into every single present undead, from the simple zombies to the mighty giants. Then, using the link between them and their forces, they began the attack.
Undead giants grabbed whatever piece of stone they could find and hurled it towards the enemy fortress. Stones that could have destroyed entire houses impacted with the warp tainted metal of the fortress walls as well as bypassing them to hit whatever was next. The brass walls had not a single visible dent in them, and the necromancers could feel the sea of souls churn as the ones beyond the veil saw that a fight was at hand.
They threw many more stones at many points, such as the gates and the sections where the walls met themselves. The expendable warriors of the army of the night finally moved them swarming the fortress from every single angle, and when they reached the walls and the skeleton warriors prepared to fire a swarm of daemons appeared wielding burning swords or whips, the legions of the Blood God had finally arrived to face the legions of Dracul.
The two clashed in a great heap of bone and flesh, neither wanting to give the other ground. Daemons slashed with warp-made weapons that easily cut through animated flesh and bone; the undead retaliated by using dark magic weapons that cut the daemon's flesh. Undead archers fired volley after volley of arrows into the daemon horde, causing many of them to fall and disappear back into the warp to reform themselves.
Neither side knew how long both continued to fight against each other, it might have been minutes or hours, but neither side truly cared, for neither felt the grips of mortal armies, only the desire to destroy their enemies with everything they have.
But eventually, either side would have gained an advantage, and the one who did it was the army of death, it started with the undead at the southern part gaining an advantage, and soon a line opened by the fighting undead, the ferocity of the daemons not being enough to stop the silent dead.
The southern gates fell the undead had forced themselves in, smashing the gate asunder using their collective body mass, but the charge of the bloodthirsty mortal warriors of Khorne met their charge into the chaos fortress.
The two clashed in the gates, the warriors hacking and slashing at the undead with their burning weapons, easily cutting through ancient bone and enchanted steel armor. But for all their fury and battle-prowess born from untold decades of never ending conflict in the name of their god, they could not stop the tide, only delay it for a time.
At first, it was one undead. Then five. Then ten. And finally, a hundred and more, the warriors died as they lived, with weapons in their hands and the fervent cry of the Blood God servants on their lips. But even as the undead pushed into the city. But then a thousand, thousand daemons appeared, followed by many more with alarming frequency, attacked them, for the barriers between the realms of men and chaos were becoming dangerously thin.
The Necromancers were not afraid, but they were nervous. Their army could handle the mad-warriors of Khorne and his minor Daemons. But a Greater Daemon? Those were beings that were single-handedly capable of destroying entire nations by themselves. Even in the best-case scenario, an entire region would be destroyed, or worse, corrupted.
Overall, their chances of surviving if the Daemon could take on their million powerful army (which, considering it held allegiance to Khorne, the chances of it being capable of doing so were very high), were low if they launched everything at it.
But there was a way it was going to be risky, incredible, so, but as they felt the tether that was, the ritual was near complete, so they really had no choice.
Through the mental link they had with their forces, the necromancers ordered them to charge at the ritual center at all costs. But the servants would never let them reach their aim, fighting fiercely against them. Their initial push had been now reduced to a mere crawl, their enemies fighting with the fury worthy of the god they served.
An hour passed and the army of the dead had pushed towards the ritual site being barely stopped from interfering with it by the furious blows of the hateful warriors in front of them. They had already swarmed across all of its directions, but on both sides that they would be too late to stop it from happening.
But eventually a mishap had to happen, and a mere zombie caused it, having somehow survived the blades and blows of the warriors of Khorne, it stumbled towards the ritual unpared since all the defenders were too busy fighting and dying against the risen dead.
Through its eyes the necromancers could see the bumbling pool of blood, as well as the spikes of bone that had risen themselves from the ground, and seeing that the ritual was now complete and the waiting daemon at the other side, the necromancers took a risky gamble.
The zombie, following the order of its masters, jumped into the pool. Instantly, its flesh, bones, and blood were dissolved, becoming part of the energy that fueled the ritual, which was exactly what they wanted to happen.
Using the pieces of its essence, they gained a connection to the foul energies that powered the summoning ritual and used it to open a channel to the dark realm of their master.
Using the pieces of its essence they gained a connection to the foul energies that powered the summoning ritual and used it to open a channel to the dark realm of their master.
The act spoke of both their skill and their bravery, as well as their success, for something answered their cries.
The pool exploded upwards, creating a tower of blood that rapidly took shape, and the form of one of Khorne's exalted ones appeared. His form was unlike the common form of the greater daemons of Khorne, a combination of metal and blood, which constantly dropped from its form, it formed a carmine, a spear from the dripping blood of His form.
Towering over the forces of chaos and order was Khazhoc The Vermillion Knight, lord of the 887th Horde of the First Blood Host.
But before he could even speak, the shadows gathered and formed a gate, and from it exited the unborn hunter of champions. Like Khazhoc it towered both the living and the dead, two mighty black wings rose from its back, its baleful purple eyes held the faces of a million screaming divine champions it had devoured, in its clawed skinny hands held a sword that devoured light, and from its mouth a black smoke rose, the leftovers of its prey.
And then it spoke, with a voice that sounded like whispering shadows.
"Lights," it whispered, yet somehow all could hear it. "So many lights"
Just before the two behemoths clashed, one thing was certain in the mind of the necromancers that the Battle of Ungalya wouldn't be forgotten for a very long time.

G/M - Next update is going to be official end of the battle of Ungalya and the casualties you took, as well as the situation in Kislev.
Also, think about this, the 'histories' of the Daemons of Chaos are born from violent echoes from the mortal realm (especially those of Khorne), so which violent act spawned the Vermillion Knight?

Holy fucking shit narrative fucking fight between two anti-champion daemons?!? That's going to be a tough one…but things are we did something so damn foolish and crazy as fuck that it corrupted a part of the ritual…
And that's a ducking opening the hunter of champions would not ignore.
So many fucking buff spells are going on the fuckery as possible.
And yeah, going to need to throw more images now! At least we stopped one fucked ritual…only problem is there might have been more, but the lightbane would definitely be going after daemons more then any other being until banished or sent back home…but hell, this should get EVERYONES attention now.

So, like, does the thing listen at all to our Commands? Or is it entirely a 'Point at the thing you want gone, let off the leash and then get out of the way'-deal?
That's going to be helpful…I think…but hey this means lightbane is going to be nice and well fed on a diet of khornate daemons, better if it finds and kills the changeling, because that little spy's only defense is to basically anything but weaker.
Besides gods, and even then it would have like 50-80% of their combat capabilities, and even less skill due to only being a echo of the beings.
Hell killing any exalted for good would be a immense boon for order…unless lightbane ends up going for order god divine servants as well…
Let's hope their not dumb enough to provoke it.
Otherwise, getting lightbane to hunt allot of forces would be great!
Add in the fact unless the undead are completely unsalvageable they can be rebuilt with dark magic.
Now we just need to either reinforce other positions or force the khornates into fights we can win.

Lightbane entered the mortal realm with set targets in mind, and eliminating those targets will weaken the enemy base considerably. Making you and your 'allies' task easier.

Ah, okay, so we won't have to worry about it randomly targeting Allied Forces and Champions we may potentially have in the Future. It only goes after our Enemies.

The chances of that happening are zero, since Lightbane is going to be deep into enemy territory, where there are more hunting targets. So diplomatic accidents thanks to it won't happen.

technically it's future dracul sending lightbane to the past because fuck time and space am dragon bullshit.
That and it's the warp, ain't got to explain shit.
But yeah, this battle was sufficiently needed to throw things into the damn grinder. Just glad we got a exalted to royally fuck over chaos's forces in the long term. Perma-death is terrifying since it totally removes the daemon/entity from the timeline in the warp permanently. Meaning someone else has to step up to the plate or shit goes wrong fast.
Still, we have allot of work to do to undo khorne corruption of this realm, and get a "in" for a alliance if connivance with the forces of order.
And let's face it, dracul would totally be one of the gods mages and scholars would pray to not get things wrong in knowledge perspective, or if people are about to face undead and dragon-kin to be not offended and such.
Respected, feared, and not talked about in polite society…but definitely there.
