Interlude: A House Divided
A House Divided

The castle of Lyonesse and the isle it resided had seen better days, the putrid servants of the plague god Nurgle had claimed the island and the castle for themselves after a prolonged siege which lasted years.

The influence of the plague god's touch could already be seen as the vegetation of the island was corrupted and transformed into something else entirely. Effects include pus exiting from the leaves and bark, faces of lost souls being seen in them, as well of the fact that if you were in their presence there was the highly likely chance of it devouring your body and soul.

The water surrounding the isle had a black ink like substance which is extremely corrosive melting stone, steel, flesh, and bone in seconds.

Truly it is a place for the damned to gather.

But this is not all the chaos lord of the warband, a being who may have been once a man now with a bloated body and rusted armour which is fused with him, declared that a special child of their god would enter the world of mortals if only they followed the necessary rituals for him to enter their plane. The being is known as Ku'Gath a favoured greater daemon of Nurgle, if he enters the mortal plane than none will stop him as he remakes all into his god unholy design.

This can not be allowed to happen at all costs, the ritual must be stopped, and a being who was once a man then a son of the night and now a god took precautions to stop the fell ritual to be enacted. Using his agents who lived in the shadows of all he sent forward them to the location of the ritual and personally ordered them to stop it at all costs.

And so they set out with the only purpose in their indoctrinated minds to stop the ritual and nothing more, for their ideology is complete subversion to their god wishes nothing more nothing less. First they gathered a few specialized tools along with other things and so began the operation.

First they targeted the sorcerers, with special ranged weapons which had a type of explosive ammunition, which proved easy even with their guard which consisted of several aspiring chosen of Nurgle. Then they unleashed the most unpredictable of weapons, it wasn't easy to get an entire warband but they managed it. A orc warband was unleashed upon the norscans, a savage green tide meeting a fell green tide as the two forces clashed. The orcs would not win of that the agents are certain but this does not mean that they did not enjoy it.

The orc race only objective is of course to fight battles and wars, with one of their dreams even being to find an eternal battle where the warriors of both sides would fight for eternity.

This managed to distract the warband long enough for the agents to infiltrate the food supplies of the warband, a special venom which drove men mad with rage with only a single spill. They were adding whole bottles. The warband will probably not even notice it.

On the next day, several norscan warriors went insane with such rage that they started attacking anyone on their line of sight not bothering if they were ally and when there was no one on their line of sight they started hurting themselves which did nothing as their god's numerous 'blessings' tried to keep them alive.

Many of the afflicted by this 'red rage' where to be part of the ritual and they were now dead. The ritual could not be carried out as the method had to be very specific and precise and the ones who were specific and precise are now dead, or insane (well more than normal).

This event caused a unease to settle in the warband with a minority even wanting to desert from it, fortunately for the norscan leader a common enemy to unite his warband against had just appeared after they finished exterminating the orcs, the environment of the isle helped them in this endeavour, the foolishly duke of Lyonesse has come to reclaim his land which belonged to his family for generations.

The agents used the resulting clash between the two forces to escape the nurglic territory. After having all of the members of the operation team screened for corruption, the operation was declared a success.

OOC: The chaos lord got a good roll to keep his forces together the DC was 70 and he rolled plus the diplomatic bonuses a 74, and after the duke appeared everything went smoothly. The result of the battle will be shown in the rumor mill. Also another thing to add, future interludes will now involve other charecters that arent from your faction not just your actions, they will not be related to turn actions.

Interlude: The Blade of God
The Blade of God

Many knew that there were prices to pay in one's life when they desired power especially when it regards magic. The creature who had become a god is very aware of this. The god who disguised himself as a creature of the night wanted to summon a entity known as the Dread Animator.

The entity known as the Dread Animator is old records and rumors of its appearance and existence date even back to the founding of Brettonia, necromancers of the old ages summoned it for power in exchange of a undisclosed price that the summoner paid.

Information regarding the price could not be found anywhere, no matter how far they looked for it.

But this did not matter, and so materials to invoke the entity were gathered, and after that the ritual began six necromancers along with their master were gathered in the room, the necromancers would summon the entity while the latter would bargain with it. The necromancers started chatting in a language not known to mortal man, they called for it to come for the plane of the mortals and it answered their call.

Upon the center of the ritual circle reality started to bend and break as a tear to the planes of spirits and gods opened, the necromancers dared themselves not to look upon it as they knew that staring directly at it for if they did, they would become raving madmen or something worse. Their lord did not stop himself and gazed upon it, with what appeared to be the face of one who would look at their home after being away for a long time.

From the tear came a mass of shadows with a billion billion eyes and mouths, it looked upon their lord and it momentarily flinched thought it did so fast that none of the mortals present noticed it.

It then spoke, and its voice actually started hurting the necromancers making the ears of them bleed obviously the creature's voice was not meant to be heard by mortals. The most perturbing fact was that their lord appeared to be understanding it.

They start speaking towards each other in the language of the other plane, they seemed to reach a agreement, and the creature morphed into a daemonic blade of living shadow, their lord then grabbed the blade and declared the endeavour a success.

Aleksander gains: The Sword of Darkness:
- Grants +10 to martial, +8 to magic and +100 to personal combat skill
- Special Effect - The Last Breath a target hit by this will start having their air flow stopped by the swords magic, the effect can be broken only by a high level curse break. -20 to combat rolls for a enemy hit by the blade

OOC: That is a really good sword. As for what the Dread Animator actually is, well it is a greater spirit tied with the aspect of necromancy.

...With all the Power we are getting, I'm really starting to wish that this was a Game or a Series with Aleksander being voiced by Patrick Seitz. Then all we would need is a Spell to temporarily stop Time - or at least someones perception of time - and everything would be Perfect.

Also, Proposal: This right here is Aleksanders Theme.

"What a horrible Night to be a Bretonnian..."

Presumably the special effect wouldn't work on other undead, since they don't need to breathe? Would it maybe have a different effect in that case?

So how would Alexander fare against legendary lords like maliketh or Tyrion, Vlad or abhorash and most importantly the green knight?
In order:

Malekith Vs Aleksander = Aleksander wins for not only having complete immunity to all mortal poisons but also for being invulnerable to all mortal weapons.

Tyrion (Without Sword of Khaine) Vs Aleksander = Same as before Aleksander wins, though the fight would last way longer, mainly because of Tyrion experiance.

Tyrion (With The Sword of Khaine) Vs Aleksander = Tyrion wins for not only having the weapon of a minor god but the very likely chance of he becoming the avatar of Khaine. Thought Aleksander would inflict some damage before having his avatar destroyed.

Vlad (With The Von Carstein Ring) Vs Aleksander = Aleksander wins, though Vlad would keep coming back from the dead, but this negated as the sword of darkness can devour souls even those of vampires.

Abhorash Vs Aleksander = Aleksander wins, but same as Tyrion the fight would last way longer than predicated.

Green Knight (Not As The Avatar of The Lady of The Lady of The Lake) Vs Aleksander = Aleksander wins thought he would be wounded for quite some time before fully regenerating.

Green Knight (As The Avatar of The Lady of The Lake) Vs Aleksander = Green Knight wins for being the avatar of a elder minor god which Aleksander currently doesn't have the power to defeat, he would at least deal some damage before his avatar is destroyed.

These results are mainly because not all legendary lords have divine weapons, the ones who divine weapons or/and are a avatar of a god like Orion are the only ones who stand a chance.

Edit: Forgot the green knight

And the green knight? He's the one were going to definitely face soon.

Yeah Orion might be one of the few who can hurt us
Considering he's straight up the avatar of a pretty major elven god.

Does our undead army persist after our avatar is destroyed or does it still crumble.
Either way we need to power up even harder because it is only a matter of time before the green knight comes down on us.

Gods Power Level
The Elven Pantheon:
- Divine Strength Level: Minor
- Influence Level: Very High (High Elves), Medium (Dark Elves), Non-Existent (Wallachia), Very High (Wood Elves)

The Pantheon of Chaos:
- Divine Strength Level: Greater or Minor (Depending on the god)
- Influence Level: Very High (Norsca), Medium (Empire of Men), Very Minor (Wallachia), Very High (Chaos Dwarves), Medium (Dark Elves), Very High (Skaven)

The Dwarf Pantheon:
- Divine Strength Level: Minor
- Influence Level: Very High (Dwarves)

The Ork Gods:
- Divine Strength Level: Intermidiate
- Influence Level: Very High (Feral Orcs of Malleus)

The Human Pantheon:
- Divine Strength Level: Minor
- Influence Level: Very High (Empire of Men)

OOC: So there you have it the gods current power levels, this will be changed as time goes on as I am pretty sure some pantheons are going to disappear. Also these are only the major pantheons there other minor pantheons out there such as the tilean pantheon. Will add more pantheons and individual gods as time goes on.
