Quote of the day: Lives are the Emperor's currency. Spend them wisely.

The Executioners: Justice is such a hard concept to understand at times. Many holding different values and ideas of what constitute it. Some are an eye for an eye. Others are all for outright execution. More still are for the concept of imprisonment and forced labor. The latter especially is found on mining worlds. Fitting that the Dragon would seek to put his own spin on the idea.

The Executioners are those who were sent out to hunt down those who escape the justice of the Dragon. These gruesome specters were once men and women involved in the legal system. Only they were not up to standard as it were. In life, they were executioners who knowingly sent innocents to their deaths or took too much pleasure in their dark work. In death, they were remade to hunt down heroes, champions, and any others who sought to evade the Dragon's reach. Something they are worryingly good at.

All of the Executioners look the same in Undeath. Their individual features along with any detail like gender being scrubbed away. They become gaunt floating creatures covered in dark fabric. Their face like an elongated mask in a scream. Their black clad hands hold a great silvery axe for killing. Along their waists hang nooses to hang foes. Ominous green eyes glow in dark sockets. They have no lower body just a long shadowy tail.

Flying through walls and the air to reach their victims. At times going completely unnoticed save for their special abilities. These monsters boast the same arsenal of the other spectral undead. The usual package of flight, intangibility, and invisibility. Their gaze can inspire dread in any mortal man. Their most dangerous ability are their weapons. The axe can tear through most armor with ease and decapitate foes. The ropes snag and lash out like snakes. Doing their best to bind and strangle their victims.

Nor are they ever alone to speak. The lingering spirits of the wrongfully executed drift around them, crying in anguish and constantly harassing the Executioner. However, they also protect their headsmen from harm, warding off witchcraft, sword blows and any other such danger. They do this not out of mercy or kindness, however, but to prolong the Executioner's suffering. They hang as an eerie cloud around their killer. Distorted faces and lights flashing around them.

Any place executions have been done they can appear. This extends to even holy ground. You typically only learn this when they bypass the usual protection with ease. As such it is imperative you find a place with a clean history to take shelter.

Thankfully these creatures are few in number. The dark magics required to create them being extensive and time consuming. Though as time goes on more are appearing.

The Goaler: Is there anything more miserable than a loss of freedom? To be surrounded by walls and bindings with no way out. Some might say that torture or hunger is worse. They are wrong however. With those you at least know they will eventually stop. Whether by receiving some salvation or simply by dying. Imprisonment however can last for as long as you live. Which can last for a very long time. Fitting the Dragon would expand on that terror. Making its own version of this misery to fulfill its wishes.

The Goalers are the jailers of the Dragon. Serving in the vast dungeons of its realm. Crafted from the souls of jailers who took wicked pleasure in their work. Acting under the direction of various higher daemons that preside over such areas in that dark realm. One is the torturer that I have already mentioned before. Their purpose is to not only corral souls in the prison, but to collect them as well. They are sent by the Lord of Undeath to personally fetch and entrap souls that he feels have wronged him. Either by evading his grasp one way or another or by escaping from his cells however rare that is.

All of the Goalers look the same in Undeath. Their individual features along with any detail like gender being scrubbed away. Their faces are smooth silver domed masks. Upon their hunched back sits a ribcage like array of black metal. Two pale arms emerge from their ethereal green cloak. They have no lower body only a wispy tail. From their form protrude a number of skulls that disappear and reappear at times. Along their waist is a wrapping of obsidian chains. In their hands they hold a key ring attached to a large mace by a chain. Said mace resembles a giant padlock of sorts.

Flying through walls and the air to reach their victims. At times going completely unnoticed save for their special abilities. These monsters boast the same arsenal of the other spectral undead. The usual package of flight, intangibility, and invisibility. They have the ability to open and unlock doors at will. In the same vein they have the power to jam all manner of firearms. Their chains lash out like serpents to seize and bind their prey. The mace they carry is used to bludgeon their enemies into unconsciousness. Once they have you in their grasp it is near impossible to escape.

Goalers have the power to appear out of cells and prisons. This extends to even holy ground. You typically only learn this when they bypass the usual protection with ease. As such it is imperative you find a place with a clean history to take shelter.

Thankfully these creatures are few in number. The dark magics required to create them being extensive and time consuming. Though as time goes on more are appearing.

huh...the last two spirits/undead doesn't sound like what we do, seems like a mistaken case of identity since the imperial tyrant would also fuck around with this stuff.

You have to remember that all this information is supposedly coming from the perspective of an inquisitive who has every reason to make the dragon seem more evil and demonic.

Yeah I get that, just seems to me like that the inquisitor is blaming dracul for allot of things to be utter and wholly evil.

Makes me want to punch that guy though, considering inquisitors tend to make 50% of the galaxies problems worse, 30% if the time make said problems, and 20% of the time making future problems even worse with their policies.

Arachne the Spider Queen: One might wonder how the Dragon keeps hold of all the souls that it does. What with all the spectral Undead floating around. Surely the light of the Emperor would be able to tear the bindings of dark magic. Or even the black sorcery of the ruinous powers of Chaos. Perhaps even the witchcraft of the Eldar. The answer to that is twofold. The dark magics that create these specters is potent and digs deep into their essence. Such power is far from easy to break. Then there is the one called Arachne.

A new greater daemon of Dracul had been sighted. The following is the information I have been able to gather on it. Once again there is no guarantee this information is the full extent of it or even fully accurate.

Arachne is as horrifying as she is lovely. From the waist up she is a beautiful woman. Skin like fine snow and full lips of ruby red. Eyes a lustrous golden color underneath fine eyebrows. A fine nose set in a heart shaped face. Lustrous hair as black as night done up in a fine bun. From the waist down she is a horrific spider. Eight vast legs extend from a massive body to skitter her around. Upon her thorax a vast skull like design is done in white. The rest of her body is covered in a fine shining black carapace. Her hands and lower arms are covered in the same material. Ending in razor sharp claws that function as smoothly as fingers.

Arachne's purpose is to spin her webs. Namely to spin them and attach them to the many spectral Undead. This is part of where their resistance to true dispersal or freedom comes from. A shimmering thread of silver that ties to their core. An unbreakable link to the Dragon's realm. They would sooner be destroyed than have this link severed. A constant tether that draws them back into the power of Undeath regardless of what happens to them outside of total destruction. Her many spider attendants aid her in this task. All are subject to this binding save for those who willingly joined the Dragon. They have their own protection.

Arachne is in that way is one of the most powerful daemons of Dracul. That is why she rarely shows herself at all. Only during truly significant campaigns would she be called forth. Always under heavy guard at all times. The Undead being unwilling to risk her destruction even if the effects would be only temporary in all likely hood.

Eliminating this daemon would be major blow to the Undead. Still the odds of actually pulling it off are incredibly low. She is guarded at all times by attendants of every shape and size. Beyond that as mentioned she rarely ever leaves the dark realm and immensely dangerous in her own right.

So we have a drider? I spell that right? How we get that? I know warp and everything but there was no demon or god/ess of spiders in whf if I remember right. Though going off of the description you made her unbelievably beautiful.
@Ancient One ever thought of making a demon or god/ess of death? Like the grim reaper.

anything is possible in the warp, and usually its ones perception of things. Besides who's to say we cant do that? what rule is there for that?

also god of death is already taken, and thats morr right now...if anything they would be entirely against us due to the fact we are undead and utilize undeath.

War Beasts: The legions of the Dragon are vast in number. Equally great is the sheer diversity of it. The sheer variety of the Undead it brings forth boggles the mind. The same can be said for the many dark and heretical technologies its servants create. Unfortunately there is yet another form of the Dragons servants in the Materium. The Dragon has come to make use of various forms of War Beasts in its armies.

One would think that the use of beasts is something of the past. Something that is very much out of date. Unfortunately that has since been proven false in numerous ways. The Exodite eldar unfortunately are quite effective at using such creatures on their worlds. The blasted Greenskins are also known for using such creatures in their armies. Perhaps it should be unsurprising that the Dragon makes use of them as well. They are certainly monstrous enough to be fitting for the role.

The beasts used by the legions do the Dragon generally take on three different variants. This is ignoring the numerous types of augments and grafts unique to certain places and forces.

The Geneforged are beasts born from the dark imagination of the servants of the Dragon. These creatures were not born rather they are crafted as the name implies. They are born in vast cloning vats within midnight worlds. They are shaped based off of all manner of genetic material from across the galaxy. Shaped by the mad geneticists into killing machines. Dark science and sorcery making their existence possible. They are quite literally crafted from the ground up for their purpose.

The Tamed are beasts born on various planets. Excluding the various beasts that are by nature void borne. They are cultivated and tamed by the heretics. Being raised and trained for the purpose of causing death across the galaxy in the name of their god. Selected for their combat ability and lethality. Creatures of death worlds from across the galaxy make up this section of the creatures. Genetic and mental alterations being applied to them as needed by their handlers.

The Risen are creatures that have been brought forth from the grave to fight once again. Creatures slain or gone extinct from one cause or another. Each is something of a nightmare brought forth to wreak havoc. No longer being hindered by the frailty of life. Now gifted with hellish new abilities to serve the dark god. There is no end to them in this galaxy. Even creatures of the various Xeno powers can be found here having been collected from the battlefield.

Not that the necromantic power is anything unique for them. The creatures are used whether they are living or dead. At times it can be hard to tell which they are. All the same they can and will kill you given the chance.

The Reapers: One of a family of similar creations. They are collectively referred to as dragon spawn. This is due to the similarities in form, but is inaccurate. This is of course ignoring the vast differences between them and the actual dragons. Still the name has stuck to them.

The ripper is simple in form. It is the size of a large canid with a reptilian body. Its coloration typically being a dark metallic one. Four powerful and clawed legs carry it across the ground. A long tail sways behind it tipped with a venomous spike. A long trail of ridged sparks line its spine. A thick head covered in a cover of thick armor makes up the front. Beneath the cover lies a large slit mouth filled with vicious fangs that secrete poison. Slitted nostrils flare just above the mouth.

They are the simplest of the spawn that arise from the production facilities of the Dragon. Produced en masse for the purpose of being deadly cannon fodder. Compelled by ravenous hunger and murderous instinct, rippers are fearsomely effective at latching onto and devouring any foe unfortunate enough to confront them. Their aggression kept in check by the mental tethers crafted into them from birth.

The rippers attack in vast swarms to tear down their foes. Devouring all in their path as they go. Smaller creatures such as the lesser orkoid creatures are easy prey for them. Their regeneration is strengthened the more they feed on their prey. This enables them to keep fighting even as they attacked and stabbed over and over again. So long as they can eat they will keep going. A keen sense of smell guiding them along. Contrary to appearance they are not blind. Rather their helm like armor is transparent from the inside allowing them to see without exposing their eyes.

In Undeath they are even worse. Their regeneration no longer covers the entire body. Rather just the parts that will let it keep fighting. This allows it to focus its energy to essential parts rather than the entire body. Its teeth also gain a potent acidic saliva to let it better eat. Making them an even greater threat to deal with.

After battle they hurl themselves into great vats both organic and mechanical. Their bodies and the meat they collected being recycled to produce more war beasts.

@Alucard Vampiry I have recently been making satisfactory progress in finally reading this bizarre story of continuous power-escalation. I am wondering if you might want an unpaid editor? Obviously this is surely all written on the fly or off the cuff as it were?

The sheer number of grammatical, tense and spelling errors have within this creation come to feel even more powerful than it's protagonists forces to myself. A majority of them seem easily avoided as well. Would not the work be improved somewhat from such at the least?

Well... there was this fellow: Spider-god

They might count?

Most of the cultists come from Kislev, the warriors come from the Chaos Wastes, and since the Chaos Wastes is where the laws of reality are calmly ignored, the chaos kingdoms that live there are ancient, having been there ever since Chaos came to the world, and have a lot of bodies, not Skaven-level but enough so that the Chaos-Tides are enough to initially overwhelm the Forces of Order.

How do the forces of order win? Simple, kill the Everchosen and the massive horde crumble in-itself, and after a time the majority returns north to lick their wounds and wait for the next Everchosen so that all forces of chaos band together and attempt to conquer the world.

Edit:

Oh, the lizardmen are so going to sue.

Late, late response I know.
There are also the Chaos Waste adjacent areas such as Troll Country and the Eastern Steppes which combined are huge, pretty sure we are talking about the size of modern Russia in the later case, and almost everyone there who isn't a hobgoblin is a chaos warrior. Naggoroth also used to be a chaos stronghold in full to my understanding before the dark elves ''helped'' with that. Now only it's northernmost edges are a contested zone.

In short even outside of the true wastes chaos controlled areas are often understimated because most of fantasy is set outside of them, their territories are huge, and that's excluding the Darklands and under empire, the darklands who trade with other chaos regions.
