FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

12-16 hour moratorium is what I'd prefer. Enough to hash out some plans to talk about and the time zone difference would make it so most people would be able to weigh in with their 2 cents.

I personally do prefer moratoriums to allow some kind of discussion about possible option; the first few plans to get votes typically do get bandwagoned and a lot of people don't keep up with threads after they've voted so would be unaware of discussion that might have shifted what they think

As the vote is tied up, i'd like to make one last argument for DESPOT: Now, one of the major differences in the plans is who to hire: THe Professor or Mr. Black and Mr. White. There are reasonable points on both sides, but i'm advocating for the latter. To explain, while Izzy is a great Intrigue unit, she's also a great Martial unit, far better then Toiletnator. Having Mr Black and White around would free her up to do Martial stuff as well. Meanwhile, XXXL would presumably be a Learning unit, which would be useful, but, with Hex (whose Learning is actually equal to his Occult), we can fill that gap for a turn. Now, granted, this does mean we lack an Occult unit, but, oh, hey, we're about to get Skips, who will also probably have pretty good Occult, on account of his having seen basically everything before, and could even do the Learning himself potentially, dependent on his exact stats. Plus we're reaching out to the feds this turn, so taking on two of their agents as heroes has some syngery. I think holding off on the Professor for a turn is the right call.

I think the fact of the matter that we even have an Intrigue unit (even if she can pull double duty as a Martial until) at the moment sort of says leaps and bounds. Hex does have pretty alright learning, but he is our dedicated Occult unit for a reason.

But honestly. That part of the vote barely matters as we're almost certain to pick up both sooner rather than later.

What does matter however is the Book vs Defenses. The book we'll still have next turn, the defenses needed to help us ward off any potential monsterous Santa? That we actively might need this turn.

His Learning and Occult is literally equal, and we know for a fact the defenses won't help against any of the big guns, Santa included.

I mean this genuinely. And? You haven't made an actual point yet.

We didn't hire Hex to be a Learning unit, his traits don't support it, his interest don't even align with our current learning options, and there's no actual benefit to putting off getting a more dedicated Learning unit since it's relying on a hope of a story synergy that might or might not exist and a half baked plan of shifting around our units roles that we...just don't really need to do the other way around?

And as for the defenses at least it's an attempt at the worst! This is just hoping that a total lack of defenses is somehow not any worse than atleast trying to build some kind of defense that will continue to help us going forward regardless of if it stops a Santa or not. All for a book that is firmly within our possession and not about to go anywhere.

It's getting an Intrigue unit that would allow us to use Izzy for Intrigue mostly.

Might wanna swap that Intrigue to Martial. Still not a great point as she actively does her best work in Intrigue though. She's a flex unit but don't oversell her capabilities in Martial.
I mean its still pretty high.

The best point in favor of black and white this turn is thematic. Were gonning hard on solidifying our gubment alliance. XXXL And B&W is simply a choice between 2 decent options that wont change next turns plan.

Having Black and White on our team sounds like a great way to maximize potential for the OSI party. They could introduce us to the right people, give us hints on what to say to who and most importantly, what not to say.

But it's not high enough for me to put it on a pedestal when even her own traits don't support it. Her Diplo is arguably more important since we lack many units for that (meanwhile Tolitenator is only maybe useful on Martial, Hex (the flex unit suggested for moving off of Occult) is better than her, and Skips is almost assuredly going to equal or pass her aswell) and it equals her Martial the second she meets any fan of the massively popular show she was a part of.

I think we're expecting Black and White to have good Diplo, they seem to be the guys the government sends to get help or tell people to stop.

And your winner is...

So now that we have the plan locked in, what do you guys think will be next?

In particular I want to know your guesses for next Interlude. Maybe a Government meat up?

I'm kind of curious what a good roll on the "Defend Toilets" Personal would do

I mean, a bad one would probably result in Toiletnator harrassing someone or causing trouble but it's the good options that I'm not sure of; would he gain stats/a blessing for following his god's commands? would he inducts someone to the worship of the toilet god? Would he bring to light a real crime/scandal that gets us good media attention?

If he rolls really well I'm guessing he winds up creating the Adult Co Plumbing branch.

Or... What if he contacts the Plumbers thinking they're actual plumbers.:lol2:

I'm imagining Weasel, Christmas Party, and maybe Providence could possibly get Interludes. Depending on how all the monster hunting, defense, and toilet defense goes I could maybe see a interlude there as well. Then there's whatever happens with rival reports.

The long shot hope for me is he gets a little bonus from his god. That'd be pretty sick.
