FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

I want to destroy Scam Co and reveal how fraud they are to the public

Considering the fact his company is literally called Scam Co, that his products are being taken apart instead of being used for their main purpose, and that Eddy really wasn't the best at concealing his shadyness, I don't really think there's anything that we can 'reveal' that isn't atleast an open secret to the public.

Gonna be honest, I can't blame Mr. Boss for going towards greener pastures after Father disappeared for that long (not to mention the fact Father's partly responsible in Boss turning into Grandfather's zombie puppet for a time along with his daughter...who we also don't know the status of) and likewise I can't hold it against Eddy. Intruth, I think this shared connection could be a way to making connections with Scam Co itself and potentially net us an ally in the area to help counter both the Gems and Chris, and the best option for that in my personal opinion, for a few reasons.

First, Eddy is greedy, a bad thing yes but also something that can be placated easily for someone of Father's standing, unlike Chris' sadistic tendencies. The second is that we can actually get him into our debt if we find Double D and save him from Mandark (assuming that part of the lore is still accurate), who we already have a small rivalry with due to the robot fiasco. We get back Eddy's friend whose disappearance led to Eddy becoming what he is today, then I think it will pay off in the long run, not to mention it fucks over Mandark a bit.

Feels a bit unfair that everyone else gets to start scrambling for Canada on the same turn we only just freed much of it. Like they get to pick their choices in knowledge of what we did.
Or maybe that's just the impression because we had no Canada options before this, and they would have tried the same things regardless of our actions?

Yes, but first move advantage is useful in other ways.

It might be because we're still getting our infrastructure back up and running after being gone for so long, whereas everyone else is in a better position to expand.

The general public reaction to ScamCo marketing:

In some cases, sure.
Here it means that everyone else gets to profit off of our achievement before us.
To be fair, we don't actually know if it matters, if their actions took away from the options available to us.
The way I understand, our actions trigger first, then the others trigger. We knew this with Mandark's constant attempts at 1 upsmanship. Its just normally the others dont do actions that would impact us.

In other words instead of it being similtainious turns its one at a time

Seems temporally implausible, but alright I guess. Game mechanics gonna game mechanic.
Now we just need to get insert an employee of ours serially into one rival corporation after another to realize relative time travel! Experience multiple subjective month for every months of objective time that passes!

Omake: Giving the Crystal Gems some Shine
Giving the Crystal Gems a Shine

After pushing further into Gem territory, Father was quite surprised to find the presence of gem rebels also taking part in fighting. Getting in contact with the group, he was even further surprised that these Crystal Gems have long since been living on the planet and have even fought off a previous invasion attempt long ago. They had apparently took a huge loss at the start but their numbers starting surging following defection from many Homeworld Gems and assistance from from humans. Forming an alliance proved easy with his reputation and with their help made great strides pushing back the Homeworld Gems to the edges of their newly created colony in a single year. However getting them to join under him was a different story.

He had floated the topic several times to them, and eventually the group after a few meetings deliberating agreed but only if he can fulfill one condition, the curing of corrupted Gems. A difficult task especially one he had no knowledge of how to start but don't let it be said he didn't at least give it a try. He had grabbed some of his eggheads to tackle the issue and even asked that sad brat Steven to help out since he was only one to survive contact with the corruption bomb. Amazingly, it wasn't long after several months did they managed to get some positive results.

At first there some issues as nothing was able to affect the corruption even with bits of of acquired gem technology however the brat explained that the issue was more mental than anything physical which gave them the idea of using delightfulization machine, after some heavy modification and a dozen attempts they finally managed to get corrupted Homeworld Gem to partially revert and then fully with the kid's aid.

The success has stunned the Crystal Gems and now have them clamoring desperately wanting to see the results with their own eyes before anything else which is the main reason why he is going with them to the testing facility.

Approaching the observation room overlooking the test, he pushed open the doors and had a look on the Gems standing in the room. He saw the main head of the group Bismuth, and her core group Amethyst, that one girl brat with the sword, an unexplained pink lion and Sapphire. The latter of which had her hands pressed again the reinforced glass overlooking the test. Despite his power keeping him at a comfortable room temperature he couldn't help but let a shiver at the the sight of her, she may seemed to be calm and collected fighting but it's a different story when Jasper or Peridot involved.

Shaking his head he was approached by Bismuth.

"Is everything ready" she asked in a gruff tone.

"Everything is in place, the gem is being brought in right now", he said. The Gems were intensely vocal of this gem being cured first especially Sapphire if the amount of frost encroaching onto the glass is anything to say about it.

Anything she was going to say was cutoff as the doors to the testing room opened and Steven emerged tenderly holding a single bubbled Ruby gem as he headed toward the now dubbed normalization machine. Everything was deathly silent as he stood in front of the chamber and then released the bubble. The gem was caught by him and gently kissed it before it can start reforming. Having been informed beforehand of its effect, he was still slightly caught of guard as the newly reformed gem now in a more humanoid state did nothing hostile toward the brat was even peacefully led to the inside of the chamber.

In the control room several scientist lay scattered in front of dozens of computers.

"All systems are nominal, gem is now in the best optimal state, we are good to go".

Father took one more glance at the hopeful faces( wait where did Sapphire go?).

"Do it" he commanded.
All at once several lights begin shining and chamber holding the Ruby became immersed in light. After several tense minutes a large boom was heard and the chamber slowly opened revealing a figure obscured by smoke. When it cleared, a small Ruby was laying on the floor struggling to get up.
"Ruby?" whispered Steven, tears falling from his eyes.

"Steven, is that y-" coughed Ruby but before she can finished the sentence, the doors leading to the room were torn off by huge spikes of ice and a blue blur that headed right for Ruby.

"RUBY!, RUBY! Ruby!!!" cried Sapphire as she desperately clung on top of Ruby.
Tearing his gaze at the tearful reunion Father noticed that the rest of the room was also crying and smiling happily.

"Well?" he said "Have I not did my part of the agreement" he declared.

"Haha", Bismuth said wiping tears fronm her eyes. "You did didn't you, fine".
She stood taller and she boomed "You'll have us, our weapons and everything else we can give! Thats a promise!".

Anything else was interrupted as a large gem entered the room and everyone started to crowed around. Belatedly Father realize this must be the fusion of Ruby and Saphire that he heard in passing but before you can move, a small figure started hugging him. It was Steven.

"Thank you!" cried Steven his face full of tears and disgusting snot "You save Ruby, and now we can save Pearl and the others too".
"Get off me!" Father growled angrily resisting the urge to burn him.

Letting go, he seem to come up with something

"Oh wait right there, I got something for you" shouted Steven as he headed toward the pink lion and into it's mane. Scarcily a minute later he popped up with a cooler in hand.

"Here you go" said Steven happily, "It was supposed to be a surprise for me but I found out and I talked to your ice cream guys, and they said you love ice cream so here you go". Quickly he then rushed back to the large crowd.

Glaring at the back of beaming brat , Father reluctantly opened the container and was stunned of what was inside. It was several packages of Cookie Cat ice cream, he had thought all of them were long gone as it since stopped being made. Such a prize was never given to him, not even his own-, forget it, he shook his head. This whole day has been confusing but at least he has icecream.

A/N:
This is my first ever omake that I really had to make mainly because looking into what happen to the Crystal Gems in Cruel Network was depressing especially for Sapphire.
I apologize for the grammar, I had more planned but right now I'm sick in bed so I wrote this all on mobile. I might edit it once I feel better.

Most of this was learned via a dealer in alien technology who's set up shop in your territory. They were willing to let some of their know-how go in exchange for some future considerations. Technology from extraterrestrial sources is a hot commodity, or so they say. It's almost always more advanced than what humans have already come up with, meaning there's much that can be learned from research.
Okay checking the results again it looks like we have a possible idea or two on what the next actions could be. But here's hoping this dealer doesn't try to swindle us from the technology we stole from the gems.

I don't think it's pure game mechanics. This is Turn 3, and Father had devoted himself to freeing Canada in Turn 2. The rivals took a gamble, and it payed off. The people who took the gamble are also insane enough to do so.
