FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

I don't know the show but they crit so it's probably good
I. M. Weasel is well, first he is a weasel. The original pitch for his show is straight man in a world of idiots, and as his show dragged on he eventually stopped being such a smiling straight man in a world of idiots evolving into a broken down wreck that has to see the brightside every single day as he is the smartest man in his world with nobody to help him.

Right now, I.M. Weasel is the closest thing to a political savvy everything-handyman golden-hearted president the States can get in the current world.

Good the more competent people in charge the less headaches accrue.

I might be completely off base but my guess is the guild has already decided we are a hero of threat level 10 and we should be expecting a top tier nemesis soon. That would bring a bunch of fun new conflict to the story.

Black Hat Organization
THE FIEND! First he had the GAL to steal our likeness, then he hired Nicole. Also I'm pretty sure thats Black Hot that escaped, an absurbdly buff clone of Black Hat.
Endsville Energy Solutions
Oh hey Tez! And that really, really blows for Mandy; but why have a Child do an Adults Job? Hector and Tez simply have to be handled with a more firm hand! Also it is kind of annoying Mandy stole our first contact with Canada but oh well.
Gem Homeworld Colony
Lol sucks to suck Jasper. At least Peridot seems to be doing well on the Tech Front, managing to succesfully get a stalemate and prevent being pushed back.
The Guild of Calamitous Intent
Oh damn Father gets the Big 10 baby! They are also using our actions to expand into Canada though; which is pretty sad.
This is pretty unimportant compared to the rest, though I pity those farmers and wonder exactly what Katz wants with Detroit.
Heh, little did Mandark know but this was our plan all along, get him to fight the Gems for us!
EDDY YOU FIEND! FIRST YOU STEAL MR.BOSS THEN YOU MOVE INTO CANADA AFTER WE CLEAR IT OUT!
See Black Hat, thats how you do a refrence! Also Double Crit Success is intense man, I M Weasle and the Sheep Tanks are somehow getting even more funding. Best part is Ronald Reagan is DEAD! I love this world.
Puma-Dyne Weapon Systems
Dark Kat right?
Maybe reach out to em next turn?
Paradigm Corporation
Yes Mr Rosewater, be our Buffer State, secure our border for us!
Cool New Phone!
Moltar Coast to Coast
Well that settles it, we're going on!
Hex
Martial: 27 (Fighting a war against an evil magic turtle, and then surviving in another dimension has made Hex a proficient fighter in his pursuit of power)
Diplomacy: 10 (At his best, Hex can manage social relationships and even come off as charming. He does come off as cold or aloof to most though.)
Stewardship: 15 (As a former noble, Hex has some idea of how to properly lead and manage groups of people.)
Intrigue: 24 (In his long search for magical artifacts that would help restore his power, he has learned how to conceal his presence and spy from afar.)
Learning: 28 (Having spent long years in exile, from both his dimension and his niece, Hex has learned a great many fonts. He also has a doctorate.)
Occult: 28 (A master of the arcane, Hex is a full on wizard. While not the most powerful on Earth, he is more than respectable.)

Traits:
-Seeker of Lost Knowledge: +4 to Occult rolls when searching for hidden or lost magical artifacts
-Scholar of the Arcane: +3 to Stewardship rolls when teaching or leading lesser wizards.
-Noble in Exile: Allows for communication with and awareness of Charmcaster.
Oh shit we have contact with Charmcaster now, an incredible good all rounder unit who fills both the Learning and Occult niches. He also has a +18 when training people, which while it still aint great is better then Toiletnator.

Hopefully they don't make that mistake, it'd be embarrassing to get assigned a villainous nemesis right before going on a talk show and making it clear we're a villain with standards.

I see that 10 rating with basically no other info on a crit success this way.

Imagine it this way, you are The Guild of Calmitous intent, you are THE Supervillain guild. You are old, respected, Supervillains come to you. You set the rules, you dictate how things are done. You're full of great powers united yet bickering as Supervillains do.

Then one day you find out that a Supervillain exists you weren't aware of. Naturally that's understandable, no one's perfect. But he's not just a Supervillain, he's a mastermind type with an entire group behind them. Anti-kid but still, a large group. And it turns out there was a large child hero secret agent group you also weren't aware of that they had been fighting.

Or maybe you were aware of them but simply ignored them both for their kid focus and seeming lack of lethality. Someone off in their own sandbox with a child organization, facing off against one another keeping both in check, unrelated to your own business.

Suddenly one day you're very much aware of this Supervillain, or at least they're suddenly big news. Going from fighting children to devastating an invading alien army alongside the Military.

With either some digging, or knowing them already, you with your secretive intelligence gathering network and supervillains of all kinds, could easily know one thing, that this is a serious deviation from what they were doing before a sudden months long silence.

Maybe you find out more even, about what happened, maybe you don't, maybe you find out about how their nemesis organization crumbled and is left headless and weak. You could probably easily notice that they're not focusing on destroying the last remnants of it though.

Regardless, this anti-kid villain is suddenly fighting alongside the government, due to not having an official supervillain rating. Suddenly smashing up an army. Perhaps it was just a show of power, an easy way to display that they're not to be messed with, but they kept at it. And fought one of the big names of the enemy force, taking them out for a time in a way so impressive the government was compelled to turn his exploits into propaganda with only the barest trace of plausible deniability as to the subject of the propaganda to prevent people from accusing them of glorifying a supervillain.

Now you can't ignore this guy anymore. You have to address them somehow. Not just for your own internal reasons or for public credibility, but to appease his supervillain ego so you don't start a fight.

Naturally with someone so powerful, with a history of supervillainy, he's a shoo-in for a 10 Supervillain! Right? Get him in, go through everything, right?

Except, he's working with the government, who is willing to work with him because he's not officially a supervillain. And he's doing some good work, being idolized in propaganda, surely that's heroic stuff. And he's being backed by Monstroso, who is 'mostly legitimate', a sign of what he's pursuing perhaps?

Maybe in that months long silence he's decided to turn over a new leaf. Or maybe he's a bit unstable and doing good as well as bad. Or who knows his plans?

So, Superhero 10? Except you really can't do that, just for some incidental heroism! At least not to a villain that powerful and potentially mentally unstable from what you've seen of his actions and change in them and if you dig further the obvious trauma of what he's been through. The guy if he still thinks of himself as a Supervillain would likely take offense, and for someone powered by his anger, that's a bad thing to do without being prepared for it.

But, you need to rate him, you can't just ignore him. So, considering his potential of going for 'Villain with good publicity' and the problems from rating him Hero or Villain, you just give him his rating. The strongest allowed by you. Ten. Without further detail.

The ball's in his court now if he wants to clarify that further. You did your job of rating his power, showing him the respect he's earned and sealing off the low levels from starting a fight with someone like that, at least without you being able to declare they ignored protocol and whatnot and offer them up as sacrifice.

Now Father has been poked and appeased as your pride allows, up to him if he wants to pursue it further and receive your services.

Huh. That rating from the Guild is............VERY Concerning.

  • "If protagonist aggression exceeds Level 8, the antagonist, in case of survival or escape, is granted Extended Vengeance. This includes Guild sanctioned immediate relatives."[7]
Huh, I'd like to see them go and do that. What, are they gonna threaten our family? Our brother? We might just send them a goddamn THANK YOU NOTE for finding our brother for us because we couldn't find him ourselves.

Our wayward delightful children? Gee, thanks, we were looking for those.

If they hurt them? Kill them? Well... fine, that would be upsetting, devastating...

ABSOLUTELY RAGE INDUCING.

frankly i would love to see more reactions of just how powerful Father is, like from all signs he should not be this powerful, this is a guy who fought Kids as his main thing and clearly has some issues to work out.

But just looking at what he is able to do and is probably capable of doing, like i have no idea if anyone knows what we did when Grandfather pushed Father too far, i would assume people noticed something of that scale happening, but do they connect it to the Pyromancer business owner with some personality quirks.

We need to have Hex take Skips as his first student. That guy had centuries of dealing with the supernatural already so having a systematic actual grounding by someone with a trait of making teaching people easier means that we would be able to have a second Occult unit be a Muscle Wizard Yeti.

So should we have a threadmark on magical or important items we hold, cause I know we have the helmet of Jong but can't remember what it provides us.

Give it time we'll have them coming after us either from the Gems or any rival wanting to spy on us.
I think the gems have a lot more on their plate to deal with before they try to ambush us again, as for the rival well spy's tend to not fight as that would blow their cover and the only one who would do that is the brat know has mandark.

Helmet of Jong (MYTHIC): +3 to opposed Martial rolls when being attacked by a sneaky enemy.

It doesn't do much on it's own.

It is however, a component of an ancient demon.

And might be reproducible with some study. Or show us that the rest of the Shen Gong Wu exist.

If we do manage to do that, we'll need the Emperor Scorpion in order to control it so it doesn't go on a rampage.
I meant the individual helmet might be reproducible to be clear.

However, it occurs to me that while the Emperor Scorpion would be a good thing to nab, depending on the nature of Father's fire, he might be able to take more direct control of the demon with it given they're basically made of a combo of shen gong wu and spiritual fire.

Who said anything about an ambush, i was talking about a assassination attempt instead.
Terrible idea for many reasons.

1. Jasper is reforming and Peridot is likely not at the front
2. They just made tech that makes Gems annoyingly hard to capture and Poof
3. We have no clue where their base of operations even is.
If we do manage to do that, we'll need the Emperor Scorpion in order to control it so it doesn't go on a rampage.

Jong is loyal to whoever assembles him tmk, hes just a Golem. Outside of the times the Wu come to life at least. The Scorpion is also likely in Chase Youngs Hands.
