FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

Instead of delightfulization, why not focus on giving the captured gems an actual way to taste food. It would go a long way of winning them over especially since Father is kind of linked to food like ice cream.

Most of the time it doesn't, hell it doesn't even remove personalities if the Interesting Twins are in fact delightfulized.
It does seem to alter their DNA slightly, being as the KND C.O.D.E.-M.O.D.U.L.E. failed to recognize the Delightfulized Sector Z as KND operatives, but, yeah, it's mostly just brainwashing, and it's not even 100% effective, as The Delightful Children from Down the Lane have been shown to disobey Father on multiple occasions, although they are mostly obedient.

They...They can? Amethyst is famously a bit of a hedonist. Gems don't have to eat, and don't derive any nutrition from food, but, so long as they shapeshift up the relevant organs, they totally can.

Why are we so fixated on Delightfulization? It's not even that useful.

I mean, yeah, his Learning is 21, that's not bad. Probably higher then most people. But, at the end of the day, he's no super-genius, he just has, like, one or two good inventions.
We could probably modify it further into something more useful if we research it. Messing with peoples memories for sleeper agents is a plus in my book. And if the government that we seem to be cozying up with has mind wipe tech it'd only help us with the process I'd imagine.

A better thing to note is what the DCFDTL are supposed to be and how they act is quite different.

Despite being "The Perfect Children", the DCFDTL are shown to be numerous times, not perfect by Father's standards. The most obvious is when they grudge with Sector V over Father's well-being, or even directly disobey his commands.

Delightfulization, mind you, is also not one-to-one brainwashing; yes, it was partially inherited. Even in that state, though, it is a flawed process.

Gems can taste food!

Honestly the best way to get Gems to join us is the reason the Crystal Gems rebelled in the first place. Get em hooked on Earth and an alternative to the insanity that is the Diamond Authority. Allow Fusions, let them break away from the strict caste system, take em on a trip to see the beutey of nature, give em access to cultural shows. It's how the rebellion formed and what convinced the quest favorite punching bag to turn over a new leaf in the actual show.

Gems can taste food! By default they lack digestive tracks but since their entire body is hard light they can add em easily.

Very much in keeping with the themes of their native show.

(The show creators have said a main theme of SU is what they call "reverse escapism": Fantastical creatures finding joy and fulfillment in the mundane. Steven himself is the very embodiment of that, the result of a magic immortal space goddess falling in love with an unsuccessful indie rocker. Not to mention stuff like Amethyst being obsessed with a crappy old sitcom she and Greg used to hang out and watch together, or Peridot....Just, most of Peridot's whole arc.)

All I'm hearing is that we should hire professor XXXL and make that perfect snowcone and get the gems hooked on our ice cream.

Speaking of president idea, I'm remembering the episode where Father had control over the 4th grade president to make school more hard for kids, so now I'm curious on what would happen if Father does focus on politics.

With those Canadian options... that sounds like Free Real Estate to me, we basically saved all their lives, DC to expanding up north sounds like it'll be piss easy. Also, with the candy economy it sounds like siezing the Canadian Emergency Maple Syrup Reserve will be a boon there.

And by taking the maple syrup we can create a new ice cream!

You know, I'm half tempted to try and exploit Father's "superhero" status to tarnish anything kids might use for escapism. Even in the comic books-movies the superhero is "Father" telling them how to be proper kids..

Just think about it, Father would be the "role model", and his evil shall be the "good" and tells kids how to be proper adults.

Here's a question. Would the gems loss of dominance prevent Chris from ever getting his city state started? Or at least drastically reduce his powers in it? The only reason he got away with as much as he did from what I read of the document was Canada falling to the gems and him becoming one of the few leaders who's region was semi safe from them.

Without that, he'll have a lot of a harder time convincing people it's a good idea to submit themselves to that

Also, I'm curious to see how Jasper takes this. In canon she is defeated by a fusion and immediately decides she needs to even the playing field, so what will she do now that we beat her? Start recruiting earthlings?

If she does, she's probably just expediting her loss since it will accelerate the other gems learning that gems aren't the only things that matter from exposure if there's any degree of interaction

The source is called Scoob and Shag hosted on webtoon and lemme tell ya it's a wild ride.
He's beating up Scooby in here looking for a good fight in this context and trained in martian martial arts, Dudes become a battle junkie like goku:V

There are.. a lot of spoilers revealing more about what's going on in this instance, so your gonna have to figure it out yourself. I will say its anime as hell though.

I just binged it

...I am still trying to figure out how a comic that started with Shaggy asking about Mayo turned into the glory I have just witnessed.

Also also...

Cracked idea...

Baseline humans and gems can't fuse, but...

Since father's a magic shapeshifter could he fuse with a gem?

This is an entirely theoretical question obviously

She'll want a rematch, so maybe wanting to find humans near to our level but weaker than us to beat train on for prepping for the rematch.

Hmm, I don't think Father has a strong enough friendship with any Gem to attempt to ask for a Dance. Maybe we check to see our Diplo options later? He has a trait to boost Diplo against anyone he's previously fought.
Obviously any attempt at it would have to wait until after we've either recruited a gem or have signed a peace treaty with them, but it's an interesting thought

Well, the chapter is blast and I loved the fight scene

The KND! NUMBUH ONE! MONTY!!

You snapped back to reality. Your eyes blaring with malefic flame, you waited. The warrior-gem cut through the flame, just as you expected, but so much slower now. It was almost as if time was slowing down itself. If it was, or if it wasn't, it didn't matter too much. It was already too late for her.

The fact that Monty is still the final spark to raise Benedict's blood pressure is a bit sad

Laser Light Cannons have been acquired!

Gem prisoners of war have been captured!

Actions for Canada are now available!

Given that we already understand Gem Tech, if installing Laser Light Cannons is a Learning, or even maybe a Martial, then that's probably what I'll go with; given what they do in the show, this is probably the best anti-Santa weapon we're likely to get for a while

Interrogate POWs is probably an Intrigue option

No idea what Canada actions there might be, though, it's possibly that litigate for Izzy might be one

Father's public image has changed significantly!

Now, this could be worrying... it seems very likely that the Forever Knight might reach out to us given the way the Intrigue result was worded

We might also feature on Will Harangue's show... which funnily enough was actually part of the omake I was trying to write last turn

If you consider vaguely homicidal obsession a crush then yes. Also this reminded me of the pained thought I shared in discord.

I could absolutely see Sally or Peridot, perhaps Control Freak, write a 100k+ word Enemies to Lovers Slow Burn fic for Jasper and Father. I don't think Peridot would quite know what those are but I imagine she complains to Sally about her buff gal of a friend/co-worker being super obsessed with the guy she got into a fight with. To which Sally brings up the concept, much to Peridots growing horror as she's afraid it'd actually be real.

Pity that this was a season 1 victory for the Gems; it'd probably burn Jasper even worse if she got hit by Garnet's "I think you're just mad that you're single" line first

Do you mean Sarah? Or is there a Sally I dont know about?

If it is Sarah, I could absolutely see her doing that. She rights Real Person Ship Fic in canon.
