Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Hmm....

Another issue to consider is that the Magical Girls present are likely aware of us at this point, and splitting up to send those we rescue back would make an ideal target.

...that's a pretty good point. We know that there are at least 5 enemy MGs here, counting Silver Hero. Of those we know about, four are retrievable for the Light, again including Silver Hero. What we need is a distraction. Huh...

Do you think we might be able to use a fight against us as a distraction? I mean, whatever Girl we're fighting can't exactly go charging after our team, now can they? Well, unless they're White Soul. But I wouldn't be surprised if Red Rose killed her on the spot if she sees her.

A fight as a distraction does no good if the team carrying the rescued Magical Girls runs into one that isn't fighting. White Soul is especially worrying, as she can be in two places at once.

Right, right.

Ugh, I can't think of a way to get Silver out without sending Gabriel or Sega. Of the two, I'd rather spend Gabriel, as she's strong and tough enough that she can either kill anything in her way, or burst through. Plus she's immune to spell damage, which is really going to be helpful here. Granted, that does remove her Presence, but Sega has a healing spell and we can just use Core Purge to get rid of the Seals.

How so? We still have Nepgear and Samael able to snipe the control seals. With Core Purge and Purge. Sega's Clothing Break should help with locating seals if need be.
Please don't get cocky. Yes, we beat Silver Hero easily, but expect it to get harder and harder as we go in. Because if they're aware of us, and that Silver Hero wasn't enough to beat us, then they could very well group up to beat us.

Besides White Soul, aka the previous #5, aka the original #1, there's Grey Champion, Solar Radiance and Lunar Radiance, all of whom were in the original top 10. Plus whoever else might be in here.

Wouldn't that make it easy, because then Core Purge could nuke all their seals at the same time?

True, but we really don't know much at all OOC about the Old Guard's abilities, which makes planning rather difficult. Nepgear probably knows a lot more IC than we know OOC.

The more this is discussed, the more certain I am that we should wait to send anyone back until we meet the other MGs here. However, first I feel I should ask a question.

@crystalwatcher, approximately how long will it take for a team of people to reach the barricades, assuming they don't meet any enemies along the way? And will the path we cleared to get where we currently are remain cleared of mooks?

50 meters is a pretty big range, and 5 turns of being active is a long time. Couldn't we just activate Core Purge and then fly towards them at max speed? Our Health is pretty ridiculous by this point.

Is it really our health we need to be worrying about, though? We might be tanky, and various members of the squad have their own unique flavours of bullshite, but for the most part they're still decidedly - comparatively speaking, especially - squishy. Not to mention that while it's easy to just sort of assume that we're tanky enough, we're going in pretty blind here.

We just effortlessly tanked a dualcasted 20k base damage attack without even a scratch. We are immune to everything that's less than 99% of our current Health. We can fly pretty damn fast and don't need to wait to accelerate or decelerate.

Do you know the sheets for the remaining magical girls that we will see on this mission? Because unless you do, it is very, very hard to say with 100% certainty that there isn't someone here capable of dealing over 99% of our health. Running into such a person is very highly unlikely, sure, particularly on a side mission like this. Certain? Not so much.

Also, you seem to have missed the bit about the rest of our squad. Our squad who, for the most part, cannot just ignore damage like we do. Who for the most part cannot fly (and definitely not at the same speed as us), and who do take time to accelerate and decelerate. And the issues with mobility are increased when we also take into account Sleeping Silver there, who's unconscious and cannot move under her own power. Please, do explain to me how their health and safety is assured.

I was talking in regards to Gore's comment about if they all gang up on us. We just activate Core Purge and then charge at them.

"Us" does not refer to just Nepgear, in my mind. And even if it was meant to refer to just Nepgear, the wellbeing of the rest of the squad is still a very important piece.
If they all gang up and attack our group at the same time, there's nothing defensive we can do for anyone else, regardless of who's around and how many unconscious girls are being carried.

KOing them all simultaneously before they can attack anyone else is the only real option in that situation.

Mass-Response no Jutsu...

How much does it reduce the difficulty checks by?
I'll give the full mechanics deeper down in the post.

The green word is wrong, but I won't make any guesses as to what it was meant to be since there's a lot of possibilities.

Also, ending the sentence with the word "is" sounds off because its in present tense but the rest of the sentence is in past tense.
Fixed both the spelling and tense. Thank you.

Shouldn't that be Solid Drive?
Fixed.

Edit:
Also, can we get an update on Nepgear's Current Health? Segarite Core should have activated quite a few times there, but we as players have no way of knowing how many times it did since most of the instances of Brilliant Key clearing out mooks happened without calculations.
I'll add it to the Team Status.

Can Silver Hero copy Libras?
Yes, but not it's ability to add new spells. That's Samael-Exclusive.

Bounce spells back? Not sure what the limits are.

One update per update deeper into the Necropolis you go. That's one-way. It's a (mostly) no-fly zone since no one wants to risk poking holes in the roof.

And will the path we cleared to get where we currently are remain cleared of mooks?
Nope.

What are its mechanical effects?

How does it effect them?
Spell Reflect bounces any spell targeted at the given person that lower level than the Spell Reflect back at it's caster.

Ex: A lvl 21 Spell Reflect can bounce Oblivion Awaits back at Rei.

Bind is literally nothing more than the magical equivalent of tying someone up with a regular rope. It doesn't cancel abilities, shape changing, teleportation, or anything else save physical movement. It's the weakest ability in the "Lockdown" tree.

Difficulty Change reduces the Difficulty Check of a given ability by 1 for each Level of the Change spell. A lvl 75 Difficulty Change for example would render Goddess Gold's Ability Negation useless. All Difficulty Checks are run by 1d100s with a given difficulty per ability.

X by Modifier abilities don't count as difficulty checks.

Since the rope is magical in nature, is it able to automatically modify its elasticity on the fly?

For instance, say you have Object A, Person B, and Person C. Can you cast a Bind spell twice to connect one rope between Person B and Object A, and another rope between Person C and Object A, and set the elasticity such that the distance between Person B and Person C keeps Object A floating in the air, without preventing Person B and Person C from moving even further away from each other?

No. For all intents and purposes it's normal rope. Not a bungee cord.

First things first: We absolutely can not take Silver Hero with us. She is incredibly squsihy. I think she may be the most vulnerable character we have ever seen and I'm including mooks. Seriously she has 500 Health and not a single defense. No Base Resilience, no Magic Modifier, no defensive abilities, nothing.

Even the slightest bit of splash damage or a glancing blow is enough to splatter her.

So just to make sure I'm clear on what we're facing this is the initial description of the Necropolis:
The Skybound comes down right outside a massive sprawl of a graveyard. Rows upon rows of low buildings that you think are mausoleums line narrow barely-visible paths that are almost impossible to see clearly from the sky. In the center, a massive edifice of a church-like structure dominates the scene.
We've fought through from the gate and are in a courtyard* somewhere in this mess and not actually inside the central facility, likely where Goddess Red and is, right?

*Reference:
"Alright... according to the map, the next side path leads out into the main courtyard of the Necropolis' northern zone. It's the most open part of this area so if there's a Magical Girl, she'll likely be there."

Now given that courtyards are, by definition, open to the air I'm assuming the only thing above us is planet matter. Is that correct @crystalwatcher ? Assuming it is I stand by my initial suggestion that for this trip Nepgear should blow through the canopy above us and flies back to the base camp with Silver Hero.

If for some reason this isn't possible I still stand by my suggestion that Nepgear should be the one taking Silver Hero back. Going by:
whoever we send back won't actually have a chance to catch up before getting swamped by the guards.
it sounds like we are expecting the way back to be clear for at least the return trip. The way back is easy since Nepgear has the HSC and Flight (Boosted) needed to basically pinball her way back. She's also tough enough, No-Sell Threshold of 21,450 with her current Health, to ignore anything the mooks could throw at her as she buzzes by.
