Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Fists never had an image in the first place, as they're literally nothing more than Famine's fists with maybe a glove or something.

I'll look for a replacement image for War's Meat Hooks though.

It lives!

Also, I am so lost on how to accomplish anything at this point but I feel like we're doing pretty well?

Like, GG is up for us and we can go toe to toe with almost(?) all of the top twenty.

War seems pretty cool, appreciate that she seems to have Kraitos's chains going on for her melee.

Please note for the future, to avoid long wait I'm not handing out extensions for the voting period, so if I call it, it'd called.

It's going to still be a while between updates though due to work and the fact I'm functionally living on the road right now.

EDIT 2: Even worse, I forget to make a comment on how happy I am. No real words for that really. Rejoice?
Forgot to hide some information on the Horsemen when I posted.
Glad you said that.

Now for sheet updates. There's a lot, but the ones I'd like to comment on...
Health: 1,000 (5,000)
Base Damage: 1,750 (8,750)
Base Resilience: 400 (2,000)

Base Resilience: 1,600 (8,000)
Magic Modifier: 200 (1,000)

Blade of Light

Level 10

But Gabriel has the scariest base stat changes. Flight/presence/judgement got some as well.
CORE Command: WALL
Level 3

Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Target By Modifier | Boost All | Scale to Target

CORE Command: DESTROY
Level 3
Base Damage: 1,500 (7,500)
Magic Modifier: 3 (15)
Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Target by Modifier | Cast by Modifier

CORE Command: SEEK
Level 3
Base Damage: N/A

Ability: Reveal Hidden | Undodgeable
These are all terrifying additions to Lucky.
Messenger of Peace
-Whenever Team GEAR is in combat without Solid Core, all of James' stats double and Total End Damage against other members of Team GEAR is halved.

In Defiance of Fate
-If James' opponent falls into the category of 'beyond human' he gains High Speed Combat level 2, and his attacks per turn double.
James continues to be the most why-inducing member of team Gear.
GEAR
-If you're on Team GEAR, you're anything but normal... This character can go an extra mission before tiring. When fighting an enemy that falls into the category of 'beyond human', deal an extra 75% Total End Damage and ignore any slayer abilities their enemy might have.
Neat.
Tackle Rush
-Once per turn, Michael may tackle an opponent to incapacitate them for the next five turns.
Looks scary, not sure it is.
Guardian of the Frame
-So long as a single Progenitor Golem is active, the Progenitor Frame cannot be damaged in any way. When in active defense of the Frame, increase Base Resilience by 5,000% and increase attacks per turn by 5.

Knight of Peace
-All allies near a Progenitor Golem gain 1,000 Health per turn, and become immune to all mind altering effects. Reduce damage caused to allies by 99%.

The Wartome

-Fractal Golems are capable of using their Pilot's spells at thirty times normal power.

Walking Layline
-Increase the Magic Modifier of all mortal Allies by twenty times.
Ow. Really all I need to say. All of these are horrifying except Walking Leyline, and even that is pretty scary if we have mortal allies with decent MM. Like fairies.
Clock Freeze
Level 25
-Continuation of a singular event. So long as Goddess White is on the battlefield, progression of enemy counters is halted.

Overcount 199X
-After 9 activations of Timewalk, multiply Goddess White's Total Damage by the number of times that Timewalk has activated during the battle.

Countdown: Overcount ????
-Goddess White may synchronize her Death of The Will spell with any of her allies spells, regardless of affinity. ??????????????????????????????

Armageddon Clock
-After 9 activations of Timewalk, all Timewalk additions are counted as if their Modifier Rolls were maxed.
New GW stuff. Synch might be interesting, enemies don't get counters, and after 9 time walks she does a lot more damage.

Also,
In Memoir - The White
-The White Goddess....

PEACECRAFT attains Mind as an Affinity.
Well, I assume PEACECRAFT is the progenitor frame?

If so, I assume this helps stabilize it and maybe grants new abilities. I remember someone theorized that it.

As for scouting the town, I have no good idea. We could try bait, I guess. Not really my recommendation. Not sure if lucky's seek spell will help, but probably not enough. The only town detail we have is the sinkhole, which seems like the sinkhole that showed up in our earlier mission. I think that's probably our focus, even if War thinks not.

I suppose we could also check for research sites or something, but I don't think that's the part of that mission this is following up on.

EDIT: I can't believe I missed this:
Drive Boost
Level 10
Base Damage: N/A
Magic Modifier: 100 (500)
Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Boost-Self | Multi-Caster (Lvl 5)
Sam can now actually cast his terrifying array of spells.

Sam nodded. "True, but most of them have seen far worse than me. If anything this is so normal it might help with said things they've seen." He waved his Datamine. "Also, photos for the wife."
Huh? I thought she was still a fiance?
"Where we going?"

"Florida apparently.
Never a good thing to hear.
Putting action to words, James starts to pull the sword in his pants out.
/lewd
a similar problem with it's recoil
its
So not only does the poor bastard loose an arm and burst into flames
lose
snatching up a large black bow and her helmet
Heh, when I heard metal bow, I had a feeling it would be that :V
I think it's a bit different from everyone but it should be something that stands out to you;
for
It isn't until James' super form falls over from his own pose that the laughter finally starts subsiding
Wait, why would a giant mecha falling over make people stop laughing?
"And you think you have it bad? At least you have limbs."
How were you T Posing without limbs?
"That lack of limbs isn't to bad."
too
Huh, wasn't expecting that.
In Memoir - The White Complete
Cool.
"I'd rather not test that, if it's all the same to you," War sighs. "Either way, welcome to Hawthorne. The sinkhole seems to have been building for a while, but this area's so quiet no one caught it before it opened and swallowed a couple houses. Happened last week, so as far as we can tell it has nothing to do with why our guests are poking around here. Do you guys have any leads?"
Ehh, its Florida.

Sinkholes appearing out of nowhere and swallowing a few houses really is something that just happens, even without the involvement of magic.
Infectious Hatred
-Horseman of Pestilence infects a single enemy with an aura that causes the target's allies to suffer the spell's base damage at the beginning of every turn. The aura does not affect the original target, but currently stops working when the target dies.
Level 3
Base Damage: 10,500
Magic Modifier: N/A
Affinity: Rage
Ability: Plagued
Does this also carry the other effect of the Plague ability? That those it spreads to can also spread it to even more people?
Ability: (Necromancy) | Ritual
Fairly obvious what this means, but it would be nice to have a proper description for Ritual.

Nice job, James. Now you really look like a leader.

Sweet. Our human team members got their own shared super ability.
Tackle Rush

I know how you unlocked that!
Type F-13 Dragonslayer Rifle
Level 10
Attacks Per Turn: 5
Affinity: Dragon
Ability: Full Auto | Demonslayer
>Has "Dragonslayer" in the name
>Has the "Demonslayer" ability
lolwut
Inspire
Level 5
Base Damage: 50 (250)
Magic Modifier: N/A

Does this stack in any way if your weapon has Demonslayer, like how Armor Pierce stacks to become Juggernaut?

PEACECRAFT attains Mind as an Affinity.
So I guess PEACECRAFT is the proper name of the main body of the Progenitor Frame.
CORE Command: WALL
Level 3
Base Damage: Incoming Damage (Incoming Damage x5)
Magic Modifier: 3 (15)
Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Target By Modifier | Boost All | Scale to Target

CORE Command: DESTROY

Ouch
CORE Command: SEEK
Level 3
Base Damage: N/A
Magic Modifier: 30 (150)
Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Reveal Hidden | Undodgeable
I assume this is an anti-stealth spell, but could we please get an actual definition for Reveal Hidden?
Health: 15,000
Base Damage: 7,000
Attacks Per Turn: Pilot's Attacks
Base Resilience: 4,500
Magic Modifier: N/A
Affinity: Faith | Divinity
Ability: Auto Assault | Autonomous Combat | Ability Synch (Pilot) | Auto Recovery
So Gabriel's mecha has lower stats than she does?
Guardian of the Frame
-So long as a single Progenitor Golem is active, the Progenitor Frame cannot be damaged in any way. When in active defense of the Frame, increase Base Resilience by 5,000% and increase attacks per turn by 5.
Oh, I guess that's why :V
Knight of Peace
-All allies near a Progenitor Golem gain 1,000 Health per turn, and become immune to all mind altering effects. Reduce damage caused to allies by 99%.
Since its a super ability derived from the power of a god, does this grant immunity to Overwhelming Presence and/or Intimidating Presence?
The Wartome
-Fractal Golems are capable of using their Pilot's spells at thirty times normal power.

Walking Layline
-Increase the Magic Modifier of all mortal Allies by twenty times.
PAIN
Wow, she really we already knew that she snowballed hard in battle, but wow.

In any case, I'm curious to see what you think about the Horsewomen so far.

Moving on...what about this?

[X] Plan Search
-[X] Contact the other Horsewomen and see what they've learned. Is there anything suspicious going on, or has anyone seen the WEAPON or Maidens?
-[X] Try to figure out if there's any sort of pattern to what can be found out. If the WEAPON or Maidens are using a grid pattern to search, you might be able intercept them to talk
-[X] If contact with one of the two groups is possible, try to determine why they're here and see what you might need to do about that.
-[X] If possible, try to contact Maiden of the West so as to let her know her child is alive and looking for her. Try to see if anyone might have seen the child as well.

Does this seem good to everyone?

Me, Lost, Gore, Lost's sense of Reason, My Muse - In That Order
I loled at the T-pose reveal so goddamn hard.

Absolutely wonderful.
The funny note is that the original scene was a lot sillier, but Lost shot it down before I could do something I would regret.

And on that note, here ya go:

The Original Scene said:
The smallest -Lucky's- is ten meters tall. The tallest -Gabriel's- is fourteen. Samael and Lucky have both turned into amorphous masses of fractal crystal that seem more liquid than solid. Michael, James, Aquila, and Gabriel are solid in form, but output far less magical energy (the former two almost suffocating in their auras).

This wouldn't be too bad... if they weren't...

All...

Sentai Posing.

You collapse onto your knees in despair as a good third of the audience roars with laughter. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Rei who looks like she wants to laugh at your misfortune but is being held back by some kind of personal embarrassment trauma. You don't weep. Sega is a filthy liar.

It isn't until James' super form falls over from his own pose that the laughter finally starts subsiding and your team starts taking things seriously again. You also refuse to join them until they're gathered in the rough middle of the training ground as well, but that's mostly because you didn't want to only be referenced to the silly poses made by giant robots.

It was a reasonable argument against it that I agreed with whole heartedly, but I like the new scene more as well since Gabriel managed a part of the Ginyu pose.

Health: 12,000 (60,000)
Base Damage: 7,000 (35,000)

Base Resilience: 3000
Magic Modifier: 900
Affinity: Light | Hope
It's really impressive how, in terms of raw stats, Gabriel is already on the level of an archangel without using her Golem.

Granted, the superior weapon abilities of an archangel make their actual performance higher than hers.

I mean... technically, Archangels just get a multiplier to their Health. Gabriel also has a multiplier; it is lower, but raises her other base stats in exchange.

So she is getting there on a similar way, but from a different source.

"Please tell me you're not all they sent." War definitely looks worried. And honestly? You don't blame her.

I find this line funny. because we're rapidly closing the gap between us and the goddesses in terms of raw destructive firepower, but this line is still accurate because in a city we're kind limited to slapfighing due to collateral damage issues.
