Changing Destiny (Kancolle)

Modern supercarriers (or any ships from the future for that matter. We aren't so much as getting one of the Tacomas that ended up transferred to the nascent JMSDF, nevermind a Nimitz, with or without escorts) are not showing up in this story. Except maybe in some future epilogue, but emphasis on future.

I'm not saying it has to be Canon. It could just be a little sidestory.
It doesn't need to interfere with the main storyline.

It would be an amusing thing if Thompson see something that looks like it's from a Nimitzs and his mind goes to Final Countdown before realizing that it's something else.

Why? Stress that why, if I remember the book right Pearl was next day. Can't get any more stressful then that, besides being in it on the day before the attack supposed to happen. Espy since a lot of the ships were being refueled at the time.

Maybe something like that.
I was thinking something like temporary direct contact . Before the Nimitz leaves.

And that is if the Nimitz is self fulfilling. There would definitely more antics if she was stuck in the past for an indefinite amount of time.

Okay sorry.
And when are you going to post another chapter because it's been about a month since the last one.

What they said. I have a lot of work as is (studying to be a teacher is time consuming, who knew?) and that means I can't spend all the time writing.

Also, bad form to ask for updates.

You know I almost feel bad for th French ship girls if they keep Strasbourg's view into the modern day, I can't imagine they'll find a lot of friends with it.

If they don't change their views over the years, then they pretty much deserve the loneliness, interacting with them would feel like staring at a pool of stale water: always the same rotten thing.

I wonder how Richelieu will react after she is recaptured by the allies.
That is a very good question. One the side I bet that she will be happy that she doesn't have to fight for the Nazis, but on the flipside, she is fighting on the same side as Great Britian which was responsible for the deaths of one of her friends, Bertange.
She was less Recaptured and more jumped sides after the guys who was basically had her POW were killed off. Under USA control more or less. From what I read her crew more or less ignore anything that the Brits try to say to them unless it was useful. The RN navy had to go through the USN to get her to do anything.

Do remember that some of them were killed by the Brits, under a phase peace. That's something that isn't going to be forgiven easily or fast. Especially when summon as shipgirls since the last thing they remember was BEING SHOT BY THEIR "ALLIES".*

They are still going to be slightly pissed about that.

Especially the Strasbourg Who was fuck in real life and ended up being scuttled. Wether or not it happens here is butterflies.

So odds are nice to everyone but the Brits for good reason.

Bottomline, she arrives at Norfolk if the French Government goes for sending their ships to the good ole United States of America, I can imagine their being many a moments when the American warships have to calm down Strassbourg to stop her from chewing Hood out pretty damn badly. I can imagine may a moments when someone, likely Ranger or someone of similar tonnage has to calm the French Battleship and the British Battlecruiser -although technically after this refit she would be more Fast Battleship and less Battlecruiser- Hood.

here's the thing outside of the brits (who will be extending every olive branch known to man to fix the rift) and the Germans/Italians (who will likely stay neutral) everyone else is likely to have a very different view. Given how the vast majority of Polish, Dutch, Danish (in 1943), and Norwegian vessels ignored their country's stand down orders and either escaped to England, died trying, or were scuttled by their crews, I don't think that outside of the Brits Germans, and Italians anyones going to be very receptive of that whole honorable surrender/backstabbing logic. especially since the Dutch capital suffered the exact same thing at German hands.

and that's before we get to the FFN ships. if the French navy isn't in a civil war when they come back I'll eat my computer.

I know I can't, I hate the very thought of Civil War, brothers fighting against each other, possibly killing each other and not even knowing it. It would be similar with the Frenchies, sisters fighting sisters.
I meant eating your computer... can you stomach it? :p

You probably could if you're that guy that ate an entire plane.

Huh, he ate a computer too.
