Where the upper residential tower consisted of discrete residential plates connecting to the central shaft, with enough room around them to see the skybox from almost every level as the plates rotated, the plates in the lower tower are continuous, merging into a helical corkscrew, curving downwards into the earth. Walking 'outside' on the upper layer of the screw thread would have been much like standing on the side of a hill, the ground curving up and down out of sight to either side.
Could someone explain this scifi construction to me? What's a skybox, and why do you want the building to rotate?

Wait and assemble a surprise pillow fort around Yukari:
Been a week and the voting has died down.

[X] Wait. STRATNET's assessment appears correct. You will hold, unless something goes seriously awry. You should do your best to not place your squadron in danger, the drones are quickly replaceable and expendable. Keeping your ability, or that of your Heavy Particle Projectors to make such long range attacks through terrain secret will be strategically significant in the medium term future.

As for the uh, secondary vote according to Nachtigall. 🤔

31 people have voted:

---[X] Task: Anna is not okay. Solution: apply extra blankets until task is resolved.
----[X] Supposition: Yukari is not okay when her status is set to away, she is alone, and she is still watching her messages.
-----[X] Action: next time Yukari has status set to away, is alone, and is still watching her messages, find her and apply extra blankets, pillows, etcetera until [Task: Yukari is not okay] is resolved.
27 people have voted:
--[X] Ask Yukari if she can help decorate your room. You don't mind it like it is, but you think it could be better?
--[X] Ask Yukari if she can help you learn how to teach.

I don't see too much conflict in the votes. I'll be using a mix of the first two, as the last is a rather general vote.

The simulators use spatial warping to expand the room the Valkyries can fly/scan/shoot in. This space is large (for a small simulator "the maximum relative distance that can be accurately simulated by this room was only 20km") but limited. To represent anything outside this range, the simulator projects a 'flat' background on the simulated sphere's surface. Because this technique was first used in video games to place a large box with the sky and distant mountains around the player, the name skybox stuck.
So "see the skybox" is basically "see the image of the sky which the simulator displays at its border".

As to the 'rotation', the buiding itself doesn't move. From the way this part is written, it's either that the armor plates around the building rotate so that any continuous attack can't bore through a single armor plate because the spot it hits rotates away before the enemy can capitalize on the weakened plate, or that the arrangement of armor plates is static but circularly staggered in some way.

Just wondering what do we need vote in order anna to become master chief ?
Her team wiped out in a hopeless last stand at the fall of humanity's greatest fortress, she as the sole super warrior left known to humans, pursued across the dark depths of unknown space by an implacable alien foe?

So basically Anna as the last Valkyrie alive in a spaceship with the tattered remnants of humanity around her? An odd epilogue to aim for, but once again, I believe in the power of the SV voters to achieve anything. Even dropping the word tone of this quest 4 levels before I throw my hands up. It's not impossible.

One thing in my mind is that she has augmentation of spartan 3 or at very young age she become hasley combine master chief since she has the spartan 2 augmentation

I wouldn't equate what Anna has done to herself quite like that. UN General Infantry go through augmentations in that sort of line of enhancements like S-IIIs, but UN Valkyries typically don't, they tend to stick with just the general improvements given to UN civilians, and let the Valk Core do the rest at -1.

You mean everything she did in her backstory as the Monster? Was her hometown not humanity's greatest fortress? Herself the the sole super warrior left known to humanity, pursued across the dark depths of the arctic night by an implacable alien foe?

Everything after the fall of Reach E-26 is merely the result of a dimensional crossover event or personal timeline jump forwards, to a point where humanity has managed to stall and even slowly drive back the foe.

Yes but when Anna kills Captain Keys, there are no invulnerable doom marines to save the rest of the crew.

Imagine her core is like cortana and she has augmentation plus all the improvement and weapon on her core
No offence, as you seem to be a Halo fan, but you seem to be laboring under a misapprehension.
Halo's main character is an infantry man/special operations character. BAHHSCQ!Anna is a strategic weapon masquerading as a teenage girl in a setting where the combat baselines are significantly higherpowered than Halo.

Anna with a full loadout could probably murder the Convenant fleet that showed up at Earth on her own. Before they made landfall.

From what I can tell, Master Chief probably is somewhere a little less than the standard UN soldier pictured in the Anniversary Bonus Interlude.
The ones who receive body augmentation, mental conditioning and power armor before being sent into the trenches
It's really not fair to him to compare him to a Valkyrie.

And Cortana is really not playing in the same leagues that Durga is either.

Sorry for that if i look like a die hard halo fan since i was enable to play halo on pc( i only play on pc) and finish the fight
No, no. I don't mean to be a buzzkill, and you're not bothering me.

I have nothing against you enjoying Halo, or comparing the narrative roles of the respective characters.
It's just that, in a purely technical comparison of capabilities, they aren't really comparable.
But that shouldn't stop you enjoying either story.

Never mind me.

Just remember that the editors he's already got take at least two weeks to go through everything he writes when he's done. And I think they've got access while he's writing it already, so...
And the tenses are still inconsistent! I wonder if they're seeded with a cognitohazard or it's just judged low priority and everybody's so exhausted they let it go :Ü™

The closest thing in Halo (the original, none of the sequels, and none of the Aliens) to Annas combat capability rating is the UNSC Pillar of Autumn.
The only thing it can do she can't match is deploying an understrength brigade of ground troops. (Well, the only thing she can't do at the drop of a hat.)
And maybe throwing significant masses at c-fractional velocities (she's more of a near C particle beam girl, after all).

Or to put it in Halo terms, a Valkyrie is effectively wearing a class 12 Combat skin. Before they start expressing any weapons.

The weakest sicfi faction that could beat Anna in a fight (were killing her is their win condition) would be... The Borg?
And I am taking the higher end Borg things not their poorer showings in account.

That really, really depends on how good their internal network security is, and they are entirely lacking in technobabble. It's all 'rapid adaptation to new threats', which sounds nice, but it doesn't help when your opponent can literally pull a negative space wedgie on reality. Well, negative energy wedgie, but you know what I mean.

I'd give the Federation a better chance in combat on that basis alone.
