[X]Afternoon: Self study. Continue as is. (Wave Force Manipulation. Requires you remain outside the Arcology)
[X]Dinner: Try to meet with Sandra along the way, and ask her about any flaws in your team performance, as you missed the debriefing.

There, opening provided for Sandra.

New vote:
[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.

I can't remember what I voted for the dinner plans, so I'm making sure :)

I kinda hope that our various votes shade the outcome, if we're voting for similar options, even if they don't win. So, our approach, if we make one at all should be tentative and distant, just like Anna.

[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.

Coke Zero is actually not a moron by any standards except his harem comedy role.

[N/A]Main Character (Main character)(NPC)
[]Clueless moron: Neophyte to the whole combat business. Extra moron included.

The Main Character, a Clueless Moron
Valkyrie Cadet First Year, Rokusabe Koujirou

:V

There's no contest that Sandra is the head in any valkyrie combination of the team.

Anna can regenerate her arm in a day, probably less once we have that medical unit integrated, while everyone else would take a full week.

More impressively damage that normally would require a miracle to survive heals in eight days.
Also Shuri is still suffering from whatever injury gave her the limp. Somethings might not be possible to heal from fully. . . if you're not Anna.
And 'lower body' would include a person's kidneys, bladder, half of their large intestine, and a significant chunk of their small intestine.
Veekie sort of beat me too it, but we do have word of god that nothing Anna eats reaches her digestive tract. Only the kidneys would be a concern here.

I guess her whole body, except the brain, is a redundant system. It can be repaired and as long as the brain is functional she can operate the valk and therefore fight. She relies on Durga-integrated sensors. The only real issue is keeping the brain oxygenated.

I'm curious about what exactly Anna actually remembers about her past and what has been suppressed by Durga. Some of might have been necessary, but during the last simulation Durga really went all the way

All to the south east.

"Anna, you're on the wrong heading."

"Wrong heading?" you wonder out loud as you pull yourself to a stop.

A glance back shows the rest of the flight slowly starting to burn south east.

Strange. Why to the southeast?

Wasn't there- Isn't there-? It should be northeast from here, right?

What?

It?

You- …When had you started to pull away? Why had you been flying northeast?

Why-

Your own thrusters flare and Durga's components list off in your head. You were still damaged, but only lightly. You could make full speed, this time you could-

This time?

More messages, still familiar.

[Holy shit, we found Type Zero Sekhmet!]

"Anna-"

"Sandra wait. Stay away from her."

-No one was saved, and to their graves, perished and dead. All on my head.-

"Anna c'mon, we gotta hurry to make the nav marker times."

Hurry?

You were late.

-You're late-

Ah.

-Don't look back honey. I love you-

"Anna…-"

"In position. Proceed."

You pull in with the rest of the flight, mute your comm channels, and you scream and scream and scream and scream and scream and scream and scream.

______________________________________________________________

-you wake up.

Moments later, the alarm starts beeping. You glance sideways, surprised at its relative location and turn it off. You had fallen asleep standing upright in the middle of your room.

Before you marshal your thoughts as to consider why you did not cocoon yourself in the soft comfort of your own bed last night, another one of the disembodied messages arrives. "Reminder to Anna Sanchez. Upon waking up, bathe and clean self. Eat breakfast. Do other normal things. End message."

Essentially the same message as before. You file it away and think about the coming day.

Today was… Friday. Somehow, the thought cheers you up mildly. Your first week was about to be over, and things were going fine.

… Things were going fine, right? Somehow you feel somewhat uneasy.

You try to pin down the source of the discomfort.

Ah. That's right.

Last night.

You had left without saying goodbye to anyone. It was the first time the entire Flight worked together, too. You also skipped out on visiting your elective classes.

You'll have to make up for it today.

We don't get Anna POV of the fight, but we can get that after the freak out she was fighting up to her usual standards (NOT berserking). Then she went to her room on autopilot(possibly literal one).
Durga must have suppressed memories of her hometown entirely and then suppressed memories of how the trauma was triggered.

Let's see what else Durga suppresses:

"Wrong." Leonhart squashes the rest of his reply, turning her back to you three and looking to the rest of the group, "Of the sixteen cadets in our group, how many of you heard and understood when I said 'treat this simulation as a battlefield'? A show of hands."

Some hesitantly, some reluctantly, a full thirteen hands rose into the air. You did not even consider raising your own, you understood what the Instructor was doing.

And you hate it.
ch. 5

You shake your head slightly as you leave the arena to head for your elective classes. In the end, when the rules were changed to disallow spatial warping, no one could tag Shuri. You could extend your Impeller pretty far and change it's properties almost at will, but the distance she very carefully kept from you was too great.

You found yourself strangely frustrated at that.

You shake your head to clear the thoughts from your mind. This is what happened when you compete even the slightest against other humans.

And lose.

You pull down the list for the next series of electives.

ch. 7
Durga gets all pissy, Anna continues being Anna. Nothing strange.

Would the UN have come to help your town earlier if they knew it existed?

You flinch slightly at that thought. The UN Air Force clearly valued the lives of the two dozen Pakistani Valkyrie cadets above that of the several thousand civilians in the Mombasa Arcology they had exchanged their lives for. Your town was a small settlement of only eight thousand people, would the UN have committed to a breakthrough and rescue operation if the Alaskan offensive had not received the green light?

No.
You don't know, maybe something to ask the Instructors about.
ch. 9
It's exclusively on the Durga part of DurgAnna. Anna doesn't seem to be aware of it, much less act on it.

"I see," you respond. Koujirou didn't act any different, blithe as usual. He didn't seem nearly as hurt now, unlike… unlike yesterday.

Guilt settles heavier on your back as you think about what happened.

"I'm sorry."

The words burst out of you, almost a shout.

"Eh?"

"I… hurt you. Yesterday in the sims. I-"

"Woah! Woah, stop right there Anna," Koujirou yells, waving his arms into a cross.

You fall silent, resigned. If he won't accept your apology, then there was nothing more that you could do.
Suspicion. Condemnation. Blame. Attacks.

Retaliation?

"You didn't hurt me, I overrode the safeties on Kandakara myself. No way your fault."

You blink in surprise.

"Heck, you weren't even shooting at me. The only thing you did was that flick at the end there," he smiles ruefully.
ch. 13
Anna has a simple algorithm:
apologize:
if accepted: awesome
if not: well whatever (sad Anna). All options exhausted

All while Durga is being a paranoid psycho in his corner. Which is good, because without him Anna would be a paranoid psycho with a nuclear arsenal.
She isn't even aware of it. Early on we missed some opportunity for introspection and I guess we should find another one.

[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.

[X] Other: Sandra is part of our flight, we could talk with her at dinner using private coms.

[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.
- [X] Reassure Sandra that we're doing fine.

Changing vote. Bit of a shame; I liked the "ask Sandra what's up" plan.

I still don't see what's wrong with the ask Sandra what's up plan.

It won't hurt if she's a bit confused at what we mean. Seriously, it won't. We're just giving her an opportunity to gather more information so she can help us out in the future.

Sticking with my vote. Encourage everyone else to not change to the boring dinner with flight option.

[X]Afternoon: Self study. Continue as is. (Wave Force Manipulation. Requires you remain outside the Arcology)
[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.

This quest is bad for me. Every time I read someone say how dangerous Anna is, I'm always tempted to pick the bad option.

I still don't see what's wrong with the ask Sandra what's up plan.
The big issue is that I don't know how Anna would get from mental point A (what she's thinking now) to mental point B ("Sandra probably wanted to talk to me about something"). From a purely-as-stated perspective, Sandra wrapped up the last conversation a bit too neatly.

That said, it'd be very natural for Sandra to ask us something in the upcoming update. I think that's why I was so willing to accept the suggestion that she already had - it was obvious to me that she wanted to talk, I'd just forgotten that she hadn't actually said anything. That's why I appended the "reassure her" option - if she does ask anything, it seems like a reasonable direction to drive the plot, becoming extremely effective if it happens on-screen.

[X] Dinner: Hang out with our flight.

Yeah, this is more likely to lead to character relevance. ("Where did you go this afternoon?")

Dar - >>Conditional Objective Successful
Been wanting to write a omake for this bit for a while so here goes:
AU during Post 15

Sandra cranes her head, looking to the south. Faint but steady blue luminescence radiates high into the atmosphere, the signature of an enormous Higgs emission. Even a thousand kilometers distant, her Impeller ripples as wild Higgs particles brush against it.

Raksha.

Herakles.

A pair of Type Zeros, Class B and Class C, facing Pinnacle Squadron head on. Moments later, the marker of the Three Hundred Squadron disappears.
Another replaces it.

[ID Confirm: Type Zero Subjugation Squadron: Last Word]

Observing the tactical map it was easy for Sandra notice yet another change. Namely the Anna's IFF Switching to belonging to Type Zero Subjugation Squadron: Last Word.

TACNET immediately notified the change with a simple message "Coroner, situation permitting abandon current flight at earliest possibility and join the rest of Last Word at Location. "

"What."

Sandra could only share the look of astonishment on Shuri's face as they shared a look.

Anna is what happens when you want to turn a teen girl into a weapon and it works. Only she is somewhat stable.

Her objectives are making her flight strong and save the human race, she has not shown any romantic interests so far.

If anything is more likely that she ends interested in one of the girls that in our harem protagonist.
