Except two things, the instructors told Anna to drop by the elite lunchroom if she wanted to get away from others, as they'll "understand what she's going through" (paraphrasing of course).That'll end horribly while the instructors lounge will just be a waste of time
Next is the fact that the quest is based on anime tropes, disappearing after an obviously emotionally difficult episode is totally within the conventions were are assumed to tacitly accept. It provides evidence for the protagonist to mull over either for a heartfelt discussion over her past, or a sudden revelation for later to make him understand what drives Anna and push himself harder.
After all the goal isn't to "fix" Anna, it's to make her into a main character.
