NotAKobold - Valkyrie Frame Durga, Harem Protagonist
My attention was pulled from the memorial by the landing of a plane, from which a valk neatly stepped.
I grinned. "Hey there good looking, wanna...compare sensory data?"
She was, of course, surprised by my great charm. "Get lost."
"I am...in your eyes!"
"We don't have eyes! We're mech suits meant to be used on the battlefield!"
"I believe that love can bloom on the battlefield!"
"Arrrrrrrgh!"
--
While we were hitting it off, her bonded and Anna had taken seats. I took a moment to double-check how my favorite dakka girl was doing-she may be the equivelent of having a polar bear in power armor connected to my brain, but she was my ursine spacemarine.
--
After a while, I gave my fellow valk up as a bad job, and went on to the next fish.
"Hey there, how about I fly through your danger zone?" The jet sighed.
--
Anna and I-well, I strutted into the main hall. "Hello, ladies, wanna hear about how Best Pilot here and I single-handedly kicked the ants out of Alaska?"
--
"That sounds fascinating. Do tell."
I turned with the Valk equivelent of a grin, which promptly turned into a gape.
She was-she was-"Greetings. I am Albion."
"Durga."

So... Apparently I'm still on a roll...

Vae Victoria is gonna get 1k+ words longer some time probably today maybe tomorrow, barring something really unexpected happening.

I think it's looking really good right now.

I'm having trouble with the Noble Phantasm part, actually. Here's what I have:
Spirit: Anna Sanchez
Alignment: Neutral Good

Strength: E Endurance: D
Agility: C+ Magical Power: C
Luck: B Noble phantasm:

Class Skills
Mad Enhancement:
D
Agility and Luck parameters are up. While active, her ability to restrain herself from attacking those she views as "enemies" is eliminated, and all non-combat related interactions or tasks become extremely difficult.

Personal Skills
Eternal Arms Mastery:
A+
Mastership of combat arts has reached the point of being said to be unrivaled in one's era. By complete merging of mind, body and technique, it is possible to make use of full fighting skills even when under the influence of any sort of mental hindrance.

Eye of the Mind (True): B
Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability greatly improves the chances of winning.

Guardian Knight: E
Having spent years acting as a protector, Anna's identity is defined by her role as guardian. Her failure to do so, leading to the destruction of those she protected, means her skill level is low. Only a small boost is granted to her actions while defending others.

Subversive Activities: B
Years spent performing hit-and-run tactics with no support has made Anna in defence of others has made her an expert at disabling foes. 50% of the enemies forces may be disabled or destroyed before they attack.
My problem is how to rate Durga, and what it's mechanics would be. It's basically Knight of Honor combined with Gate of Babylon, only with the ability to upgrade what's put into it. However, Anna started with nothing. So should it be one that ramps up in power over time and conflict? If so, where does it start? Does Anna start off really weak, or does she start off moderate? Can other Noble Phantasms be included?

Considered personal skills that didn't make the cut: Battle Continuation, Clairvoyance, Collector, Demonic Defender of the State, Disengage, Innovation, Librarian of Stored Knowledge, Military Tactics, Pioneer of the Stars, Presence Detection and Protection from Arrows.
I'd say you should give her those stats:

Strength: E Endurance: D
Agility: D Magical Power: E
Luck: E Noble phantasm: B

And have Durga be a support NP that raises her to

Strength: B Endurance: A
Agility: B Magical Power: E
Luck: E Noble phantasm: B

Since she's not a mage and outside of her frame she's not really superior to a normal human (note that rank E is already ten times higher than what is humanly possible).

And that's if you want to make her a powerful servant (though as Berserker it's justified).

By the way, shouldn't she be an Archer since her most powerful NP'd be the wave motion thingie?

I think it would have been better if you had put them up seperately as a part 2 rather than just adding more to the original omake.

I'm also confused by why Rushfield thought he had to ram the breach.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it, then I decided I'd put it all in one place since that was how I had imagined it in my head. Idk.

General Alexander Rushfield, Commander In Chief of Ark Ship Perth, Gold Cross, Medal of Britain, Father of Three watched as the Hero took up the corpse of the largest of the three Titans and threw it at the Shield, and when he saw the golden light flicker in and out as it devoured the carcass of its formerly mighty defender, he knew what had to be done.

hm this might not be clear enough... good point.

flicker in and out of existence

I think I understand. The shield over the breach was strong, and no-sold everything thrown at it. It was immune to wave force and energy weaponry, and kinetic munitions were too small to do anything. It was straight damage reduction for each attack, so you needed a STRONG individual hit to actually damage it. Titans are big objects, so destroying that mass actually affected the shield. They still are not big enough, so Rushfield threw the biggest object he had. THAT destroyed the shield, letting the surviving Valkyries and Anna/Durga to finish it off.

EDIT: AUTHOR NINJAED!

No, I got that. I mean, why not first try throwing the other titans at it, and using that opening to wave the breach, before trying the kamikaze thing?

I think the point was that even the biggest of the Titans was only enough to cause a brief flicker. So even if they through the smaller ones in all at once it wouldn't have worked.

The only way to actually create a hole Anna, and the Valkyries covering her, could get through would be to use something even larger. The only larger thing they had was the Acropolis.

Because offscreen reasons.

Because this.

Because the concept in my head for this before i ever touched the word doc was "-5, Anna goes ballistic, Perth notices, Perth helps, there's a replay of this scene (not the whole video just the one cutscene) from star fox assault except with a lot less ham and different location/setup/etc/it doesn't look like that -- because REASONS, then Anna goes ballistic more."

On the fanfic/crossover front, I've toyed with the idea of dropping a Core into other settings, initially supers settings, primarily, though things like Symphogear and Nanoha also come to mind.

Harem protagonist= Durga (hitting on all the other cores)
Older sister= Durga (predates humanity by eons)
Tsundere= Durga (have these particle projectors, b-but it's n-not like I like you or anything)
Superhuman= Durga (hey, she supersedes human capabilities)
Ace= Durga (part of the peerless dream team)

I can't get Oujo to fit, though.
