And What a Dance it Was (NO SV, War is Coming, Prepare)

Hmmm this might effect my vote. Will we have a opportunity to fix the Daemon and Rhae marriage soon if we don't talk right here and now?

[X]No: No, say nothing, this is between them.

Hmmm fine. Let them get all the bad emotions out and then try fixing the marriage.

Who's stupid enough to attack Daemons wife? Even if their dislike for each other is well known, he's still obligated to kill whoever attacks her, probably with his dragon.
It's less a singular person, more a conspiracy of people that have put her in a bad position.

Ie. a position that will likely leave her and her family dead.

-[X] "Maybe you could bond over your shared resentment of being married and use the marriage as a sword and shield, so you could ward off people you don't like and cover for each other when you find people you do like. Just because you were forced to marry doesn't mean you have to hate each other, especially when you can spend it on better targets, Lucien the silent for the win, yeah I want you to say that last one, stop laughing dammit."

Alright everyone, I want to take a break for the night.

Mostly because I have worked over 12 hours and i need to take a nice long nap.

Gulltown 2: Silence
Gulltown 2: Silence

You remained silent, for two very simple reasons. One, the Bitch had called you deaf, when it was clearly not the truth, and in that tone, she did not deserve to have any sort of conversation with you.

You just sat at the table and watched the two continue to argue. It was going to be a while, and you wished that Daemon had actually given you something to do. Even though he had not taught you how to read, he was clearly capable of recounting many of the stories that he had, of the Targaryen conquerors and members of the family that he knew. Especially his late Aunt Gael. He was close to her. Something that you never knew.

As it turned out, no one knew, as everyone thought she did not recognize. She was not bright, she was even forgetful and strange. But she treated him like he was wanted. She always had a way of calling him a name that you only learned recently. Dae… He was the day of her life, and always brightened it. Same with him.

It broke his heart when she died.

But in the memories and stories, he only said one thing, every time. "You remind me of her, just how you listen when everyone wants to be away from me. It's comforting"

Your thoughts were broken as Daemon finally raised his voice. "Then tell me what is wrong, so I can deal with it!"

The Threat:D6 => 3

Rhae finally relented. "Pirates."

Daemon almost laughed. "Pirates? You needed me to deal with some pirates." He then sat down. "Dammit woman, is there really anything that you can't do without a man at your side?"

Rhae spat in his face. "That may be, but if you listened to me, you would have found that it is not so simple."

"Then illuminate me." He shot back, not even wiping the spit from his face. Then you saw him sign. "She might actually listen to me." At that moment, you smiled at that.

"Captain Aero Hordaland. Though I believe it is not a real name, an alias, for a pirate lord that is allied to numerous factions within the Three Daughters." She started, making Daemon straighten up. You did too, mirroring him, as she continued. "Two months ago, I received a message from a merchant in Tyrosh, and then from Myr. About slaving vessels that made Gulltown a Port of call. He gave me all the names and their captains, to seize them and to have them stand trial."

That made Daemon grit his teeth. "Slavers, operating in Westeros? Corlys and the Fleet-"

"I already sent word to the Admiral and the King, but the King said we must deal with this matter delicately. I arrested one captain because he was drunk, and treated him as a guest, while he sobered up. I then sent agents to his ship and found several imprisoned girls. All girls from prostitutes, brothels, and septs. All girls were kidnapped and reported missing. After I threatened his life, and his head, he explained at least his part of the operation. Picking up slaves from an unknown source. One that I am assured of, is a very high-ranking member of the Faith."

That made Daemon spit. "Well as always, the faith continues to be reminded of their evil. Maegor didn't do enough for them, I say."

"Statements of blasphemy notwithstanding Daemon, I need your help." She replied. "I need you to do what you do best when the good captain shows up, and take him alive. I want names."

Daemon then chuckled. "That's it? Seems rather easy, and you already did the hard part, why do you need me?"

"Because one of the names the captain said was Valaar the Silent. His father." Rhae stated.

Your teeth grit hard. Your father was no slaver.

Daemon had the same thought. "I don't believe that man is a slaver."

"That may be, but if you want to clear his name, and not see him sent to the wall or to the Noose, you both will help." She replied.

"Blackmail is hardly a sporting thing a wife and a husband should partake in." Daemon stated.

"Call it extra motivation." She replied. "I can't have you leave until this is done to do whatever the hell you want, and the boy will stay by your side through anything it seems." She then stood up. "I need your help Daemon, and whether it be out of marriage, love, justice, or wishing to leave me alone again, I need this. And I need you."

Daemon then wiped the spit off his face. "Fine. But I'll remember this."

"I would hope for nothing else." She stated.

And then she walked away. Daemon then swore. "Now you know why I call her my Bronze Bitch."

What shall you do?:

[]Talk to Rhae: You want to speak to her and find out why the two of them hate each other.

[]Stay with Daemon: something tells you that he has a lot on his mind. Perhaps you can pick at it.

[]Go to the Library: You can't read, but you can look at the pretty pictures.

[]To the Port: There should be some fish out there for the Grey Ghost.

[]Pray: The Three Goddesses are not kind on this day. Perhaps they can show kindness to you on the next.

AN: Enjoy.

I loved this part.

If our goal is to repair their marriage somewhat, we will need insight into this (as well as a better relationship with Rhae). Also, extending an olive branch to Rhae (in the form of cordial conversation) seems magnanimous enough to characterize Lucien a bit, emphasizing willingness to at least make peace with people who have slighted him. Despite how much Daemon and Lucien like each other, I don't think we want to end up as vindictive as he is.
