And What a Dance it Was (NO SV, War is Coming, Prepare)

[X] Red, the color of the blood spilled to break this riot and to defend civil order

Red will be our watch color, just as gold was Daemons, these rabble rousers and demagogues will learn to fear the color red wherever they look, even in their own blood. Next turn I'm making a plan to ask for more money and setting up the toll system, better to ask for more stuff now than wait for the kings favor to fade.

I suggest we put some symbol on the city watch flag like a shield and cross sword on the back with a red back ground but for the cloak it would be red
I'd rather keep it simple with the red, I feel its more thematic that way.

A bit edgy but it's damn appropriate.
I'm glad you noticed, its kind of inspired by out wrathful moment interrupt and our speccing into admin, angry Lucien is angry and thinks to himself "Hey now, what's a real simple dye to get, and a color that's memorable hmmm.... AH, I've got it!" thus we have the Red Cloaks in place of the Gold cloaks. Its short, sweet and terrifying to the criminal element, just how we need it.

When was the riot date for when people would attack the dragon pit?

Like was this close to it? It was harsh, but it will cut down on a lot of more overt hostility in the long run.

NO.

The riot that would storm the Dragon pit and kill the dragons won't be for at least another 20 years.

[X] Black on the outside, Red on the inside

I like this idea cause depending on what side is being shown it could mean different things. Like black means everything as normal, but reverse it and have it red and people know the watch is ready For battle and not taking shit. A little measure for people to gauge the guards mood towards shit they are willing to take

Yeah, the cloak's colors can be used as a sort of operational signifier to others as a way to show that shit's about to go down and things are getting serious would be good for both the watch, the court, and the people of King's landing.

It's kind of like what some countries do with their flags, like the Philippines does with its flag - during war the red stripe is on top while during peace it's the blue strip on top. Though, this color switching would only be used during serious operations or when the city and the watch are on high alert.
