Can someone make a Power Word Saltify version of Power Word Petrify?

It would just be a re-fluff, and there's very little fluff text in that spell to begin with.

Flesh to Stone is only one level higher than Flesh to Salt and it has basically the same effect so it should remain spell level 8.

With a mere word, you turn your target to salt.

You utter a single word of power that instantly causes one creature of your choice to become salt, whether the creature can hear the word or not. Any creature that currently has 101 or more hit points is unaffected by power word saltify.

That's not biblical at all.... *cough* Lot *cough*

You are forgetting quasits, shame on you. Imps are slightly more tolerable than quasits.

Unfortunately neither work, they are both self-destructive little shits incapable of taking a good deal. Betrayal is more a part of their nature than any other of their respective kinds and all acknowledge and work around it.

We could try with a single Imp from Mammon and see what severing the Baator connection does for the infliction but they really are that bad.

Which sucks cause I wouldn't mind a squad of Imps, Quasit's are a bit tougher but Imps have greater utility.

@Goldfish, for Ser Richard's next feat, what would help with grappling?

I'm remembering what an annoying time he had with the Velroc when it managed to grapple him.

Alternatively, Blind Fight is a really good feat to take given the coming Drow problem.

He just needs a Freedom of Movement item. 3/day, for 70 minutes per use, would cost 3,023.40 IM to enchant (2,267.55 IM for Lya or Leila, 1,814.04 IM for Valeria). Or we could just commission it, like we did for Viserys. It would be a good upgrade for him, IMO.

We have a Freedom of Movement item already. Mammon was kind enough to bring us one.

Anyway, thoughts on Blind Sight? I feel like that'd be a very useful feat considering both the Underdark and the Long Night.

What Freedom of Movement item? I don't recall that one.

I wouldn't invest a feat into Blind Fight for Richard. He has Oathkeeper's Blindsense to rely on for general use, his Earring of Arcane Acuity for temporary Darkvision or See Invisibility, and Tyene now has Greater Blindsight, which we've been applying regularly as a pre-combat buff.

Here you go:
The Broken Link

Description: Seemingly forged from a piece of some titanic chain, this ring bears countless notches and scrapes, that to the experienced eye revealed the tale of some long-bound evil freed from its shackles, the act imbuing in the metal the power to break all lesser chains.

Ability: Ring of Freedom of Movement
And yeah, those are all good failsafes, but I just felt like the feat would be the ultimate insurance. Earring out of charge? Buffs dispelled? No problem.

In any case, did you have a different feat in mind? He gets another feat on the upcoming level.

Oh shit. I forgot the whole "Fenrir exists and has totally already broken free" flavor

We'll need to upgrade his Swarmbane Ring next turn to make it slotless so he can keep using it. We should give him the Freedom of Movement ring ASAP.

I haven't really put much thought into his next feat. Maybe Improved Critical(Greatsword)?

Hmmm...
Benefit
When using the weapon you selected, your threat range is doubled.
Whoa, what? Double the threat range?!

Okay. There is a new favorite.

That's the Critical Threat Range, not literal weapon reach. A greatsword normally threatens a Critical Hit on an attack roll of 19 or 20. Doubling that means it instead threatens the Critical on a roll of 17, 18, 19, or 20.

Rather than a 10% chance to Crit, it becomes a 20% chance.

That's still great. :D

It's not that great. It's super easy to duplicate that effect with magic. A Scabbard of Keen Edges would do the same for 10 minutes, 3 times a day and cost 800 IM. Considering we don't fight that often in a given day, it's more than enough and relatively cheap; especially by the standard we're currently spending our money.

If you're looking for a Feat that increases reach Lunge is an option. It gives +5 feet of reach for -2 AC.

No, it would cost 1,600 IM. I've tried to get one made for Richard for three months in a row now, but have had to cancel it each time to make room for other stuff.

  • [X] Plan Preparing the Grand Finale
-[X] Make a deal with Yrten:
--[X] They can use our port as a friendly one and trade there as long as they follow the local laws. We request first buy rights for anything impressive they bring, especially military hardware. In exchange, they agree to not trade in any other ports that are not controlled by us or our allies. We are either at war or soon to be at war with everyone else.
--[X] She can access our library and learn any spell we have in scroll form on condition that she herself offers us a scroll of a spell we don't have or a lore book we don't have whenever she does this. She should be able to get extraplanar books easily enough, you see.
--[X] They'll give us intel about the situation on the Plane of Fire, especially good targets or targets to avoid.
--[X] Whenever they find something good enough, they can call us for support. The split of the plunder will be decided on a case by case basis.
--[X] Ask them to look for other pirates and settlements inclined to make deals with us. If the getting looks good, we would be interested in supporting their efforts monetarily.
-[X] Plan for the remaining days:
--[X] Let Yrten gather intel about the garrisons near the Salamander tribes.
--[X] The party meanwhile destroys some whalers.
--[X] On the last day, go over the information and pick a garrison to destroy.
    [X] Raid Whalers
[X] Hire Yrten to spend a day looking for targets for you to hit, while you meanwhile go hunting whalers wherever he says is best.
