Well, we've got to start somewhere.

[X] Plan "When in doubt...FIRE!"
-[X] While the others wait, Viserys descends close enough to ground level so that he can target the monstrous spiders with Firebrand (270 feet maximum range, varies between 250 and 280 feet due to Wild Magic).
--[X] He first targets the larger spiders with a Searing, Agonizing, Firebrand as a Swift Action, then follows with a Searing, Agonizing, Merciful Firebrand, targeting those same spiders.
This seems like too much, @Goldfish. You're going to kill the spiders and we'll lose the best sacrifices here. Remember when we were up against the Erinyes and they died due to Searing Agonizing Firedarts, and how that extra lethal damage managed to persist even when we spent the latter half of the fight trying to do nonlethal? Just do Merciful for both of them.

I fully planned to grow a tree here eventually. One way or another we will be building a panic treehouse here.

Fixed that for you! :p

Actually this would make for a perfect research site, not like wild magic zones are common... We should see what happens if the Spell Ooze of Lys is brought here.

Also, wild magic, and a tree to gods with magic domain and wilderness theme? Yes please.

The big ones should be able to absorb the hits, but it doesn't matter, I intended both to be Merciful. Accidentally left it off one.

Think we can make whole on the corpses of 'smaller' spiders and use their caraprace for exotic armor?

@Fehu, honestly, I'd rather throw everything we don't manage to capture here into a mossforge.

If this thing goes off perfectly- and that's a pretty large "if" there, then we might have to go to Bloodraven to tell him about incoming tsunami right after Volantis.
And I can't be happier to.

We're definitely visiting the man. We have a lot to talk to him about.

For one -- updating the map of Beyond the Wall with all the information he has.

I have a big list, but I won't flood the thread with it just yet.

Keep in mind the question about potentially shifting the entire cave system he lives in from Beyond the Wall to SD. Odds are, we will have to fight off a Other assault while the ritual is in progress, but the strategic advantage of getting Bloodraven out of their reach is tremendous. It would also mean easy access to him for Lya to learn all the druid spells.

And it's a great extra line of defence for SD. Kinda like having Yss around!

That's the first among many, many questions I'll have prepared.

We're also due to get the lore he promised us on First Men Runes and Wards. :D We could practice by building small fortifications on the other Stepstones before we get around to the Imperium Fortress in Sorcerer's Deep.

I wouldn't mind a couple of the dead spiders being turned into armor. That's a nice bit of creepy.

Heck, usually the Old Gods leave the bones of our sacrifices right, so those colosal spiders would leave alot of caraprace laying around.

Legionnary auxilleries, Jungle Creepers division. Hundreds of rangers wearing fiendish chitine armor. :drevil::coolbeans:

Imagine Ned Starks face when we tell him that the great holy place we told him about is now in our backyard. Because it's more convenient for us that way.

I think that it's not unlikely that Lya will propose Viserys after all this spells are brought to her.
I still want to propose the other way around:
Viserys: "Dear. For so long have we traveled, fought and lived side by side and I want to go a step further."
Lya: "What do you mean?"
Viserys: "Lya. Will you give me the honor to rule this plane with me together, as husband and wife? In good times and in bad? Both when breaking the laws of gods and nature?"

That's a very good point. We should definitely take the time to harvest the spare chitin we find laying around.

I don't yet know if vote is closed but we could Reverse Gravity and face only those enemies in that area, there are other ways to isolate them too and they are still very very stupid even with the template.
