Maybe we could get extra lucky and it would be carrying a significant portion of its more valuable possessions around using the Hoard Gullet spell.

!Hint! @DragonParadox !Hint! :V
Dragons don't stricktly need that, unless they have a really big hoard.
The Fey Drake had his hoard swallowed without additional magic, IIRC.

Edit: But I'm not expecting any gold or coin north of the Wall anyway, at best some magic, ivory and gems or so.

Puh-lease... we are the most creative soul when it comes to looting. At this point we have it down to a science.

In fact, I would argue that we should get some circumstance bonuses to looting under certain situations where finesse and ingenuity needs to come into play in order to figure out how to get EVERYTHING of value stripped down and packed away for long journeys.

And that's the story of the time Viserys took over a Wildling-tribe, just to get them to construct sleds for im so he could carry his loot south on them...

@DragonParadox The Consensusification has begun.

Speaking of which, how about we set up a trading settlement Beyond the Wall? Like, an adventuring village to support adventurers and Free Folk who would care to trade? Like food for magical or interesting items they can find. Or like an outpost to train our Legions for extreme weather.

We could use it to have the legions prepped for the eventual Long Night campaign, level up baby PC's, support the Night's Watch by being a vanguard and assist Rangings, and get the wildlings to come swear fealty to us after seeing a proper prosperous town.

By having Lya study The Wall's effects, we may be able to get magic items that work only within the Shadow of The Wall, thus making sure adventurers are properly equipped and Wildlings don't use it against the Night's Watch.

@Takesis I havr been thinking about this too, unfortunately Hardhome is taken. But scouting out somewhere good - maybe Bloodraven can suggest a place - and have fey build a very very tall watch tower out of dragonstone / obsidian masonry and mithral inlaid. With a circular wall to protect the surrounding settlement, like the tower Orthanc esque.

So, is no one worried we will waste a ton of spells keeping our buffs up until whatever is it waits?

Because that was noted as a serious problem.

Oh well, let's hope hubris won't let us down.

@DragonParadox don't forget we also have Persisted Life's Grace in addition to our normal routine.

@Goldfish huh, that version didn't show up on my browser. Yeah, let's work that back in, in place of Panacea on odd days.

With a +3 CHA template she'd still manage a Chained Reached Harm.

Yeah. Because a bunch of warriors without any logistics or supply behind them is so obviously going to work out.

It's not logical. It's stupid.
This is why the INT 6 Barbarian isn't allowed to make plans.
I didn't say it's smart. I said it's a logical, i.e, reasoned decision.

But think about it: their plan is essentially to have a few dozen low-to-mid level Rangers and Druids as a tribe. That works out perfectly. Even a single Druid can make logistics enormously simpler.

So we comes the time for a fighting retreat against the Others, they won't be dragging the elderly or the lame with them.

So, buffed party able to go against Balor waits here while everyone with bits of common sense tiptoes around. Not the first time for us, but could be better.

Alternatively,

Alternatively, they are just werebears rather than druids, rangers etc.

@DragonParadox We want to put Recitation back into the Persistomancy rotation, replacing Panacea on off days.

Would be great if we could make this a retroactive change, since TNE was mistakenly using an older version of the spell as a reference.
