Kindness is OP, plz no nerf.

Before we did garin's lys mission, we saw the sealord use kindness against him. It was super effective!

Hmm, if not being a dick is unconvincing, I suppose he won't accept "it'll make davos sad."

Practacality? No point ransoming stannis to a monster pretenting to be his brother for 12k, when we can kill Frenly, keep stannis and take Frenly's... Everything.

Oh! Duty/Honesty, we are prepared to release stannis to his brother, provided his brother is not under some compulsion, if it is insted a monster ect, well, that's just not the deal we are willing to agree to.

I wonder how terrified renly is for stannis. We show up, take him, and there is a big fire in the sky a few days later (Baella).

That said, if he gained fey allies on his adventure (I'm guessing feywilds, he's the sort of person who might do better than most in there after a while. By which I mean return) he might have acess to divination magics and know that we don't have reason to harm the dude.

Holy shit Diomedon. Brienne.

She will give Davos Seaworth levels of loyalty to whoever shows her just a smidgen of respect in her martial ways/self worth. She would be all over Viserys after an afternoon chat with him and he would not even notice it! (given the way he usually treats other martially inclined women).

She should be PC material too... lawful and loyal to a fault...

Holy fucking shit, she could squire under Ser Richard!!!
Sadly this won't happen until we're actually the King. I doubt she'd accept to give her loyalty to an Usurper like us... Unless we got to use our best WMD, Diplomacy have a chat with her over dinner.

Assuming he believes that you are actually motivated by kindness and not some nefarious scheme. On the face of it the concern does seem rather odd.
"I have seen a few cases of imposters too many to not worry about such things. I don't want to send a man to death or slavery for mere coin if I can help it."

"If you don't believe in my altruism, think what damage a fiend could do with a Lord Paramount and the second in line to the Iron Throne as his tralls. I do not wish to sow distrust between you two, but neither do I wish to unwittingly aid the next group of monsters which may or may not try to tear apart Westeros. Gods know I can't trust the Ursuper to keep it safe..."

Blatant dig at the Deep One stupidity...

This, but also potential damage to our reputation.

Were we to promise to return Stannis for a ransom only to end up missing him, with a "wild story" of giving him to his missing younger brother...

Well, this would not look good, would it.

In the character-generation DP admitted she would make a great Paladin, he just didn't want a half-magical class as PC.
Take from that what you will for her potential.
Mmm. DP likes re-balancing classes and The Green Knight does pretty well.

From her wiki page.

"Young or old, a true knight is sworn to protect those who are weaker than himself, or die in the attempt"
– thoughts of Brienne

Thats some grade A paladin material right there.

Though nothing really stops one from being lawful good and a Fighter.

Maybe bring an Archon with us? Nah, they're probably busy.

hey now, i've never read or watched them either. I'm just great at picking up osmosis and context and doing research for stuff i dont know
I too have approximate knowledge of many things. mostly by reading TV tropes.
Unfortunately i have already given the unicorn title, needle does not sound good and im all out of idioms, would you settle for a lesser magical creature? A leprechaun perhaps?

I don't know... in canon she was infatuated with Renly beacause he was the only one that ever gave more than a flying fuck to her (given that she's a prospective female knight and ugly, two things that make most Westerosi go 'Eww!') to the point of going against the rightful king twice for him. (Once against Joffrey, who she did not know was actually a bastard, and then against Stannis, who by all laws should have been the rightful king if Robert's children had been ilegitimate.) So its clearly more a thing of repaying kindness (pretty little of it anyway, Renly basically complimented her once after a feast at Tarth a few years from now, poor girl was pretty starved of affection/self worth) than pure following laws of the realm.

Guys, give us 15 minutes with her, and we'll have our badass squire for Ser Richard.

Brienne, according to the canon timeline, hasn't been charmed by Renly yet. Viserys is pretty charming, and he's kind. He'd be honestly impressed by Brienne martial skill, and if we don't pick her up the Seven or Renly will.

It would help fill our need for generals we have right now. With Valaena that would give us two generals, and an NPC general would work for the main army nominally under Viserys's command.

Still need a Hand of the King type.

I definitely support snatching up Brienne before some lordling notices her.

... God, I hope Renly doesn't beat us to it.

Also, guys, I'm getting the feeling that Renly will frustrate us far more than the Lannisters ever did. He's most likely a powerful PC by now who's gone on his fair share of planar adventures.

How did Renly end up with our letter to Robert?

Wouldn't be hard for him to know, the news of the ransom probably made a big splash at King's Landing, and Robert's refusal perhaps an even greater one. Varys probably spread the news to undermine Robert in favor of faegon, though its not really necessary. Seriously, Robert's Small Council is leakier than a sieve.

Radical topic shift, but do you guys think we could craft an action two months from now formalizing a ... bureaucrat academy for the lack of a better name, staffed by Alinor's better interns? We need MOAR administrators and honestly they ain't coming fast enough.

Maybe you should add that to your plan then? Before asking Stannis of course. Having more intel will make us seem even more powerful in his eyes.

Hm... any suggestions how we should phrase it for old snek?

Or we let Dany use Divination. Then we can just ask "How" and be done with it.
