...yay?...well congratulations, because we are 16,000,000 IM poorer after this little Fun With Numbers.
Yes. Accurate accounting is more important....well congratulations, because we are 16,000,000 IM poorer after this little Fun With Numbers.
Edit: Was it worth it?!
I'm laughing my ass off, only we as a player base would place ourselves in a position to be POORER because of simple math and the OCD need to have fucking rounded numbers for everything. 😂
You dare mock the glory of Accurate Double Ledger Accounting, you filty heathen?I'm laughing my ass off, only we as a player base would place ourselves in a position to be POORER because of simple math and the OCD need to have fucking rounded numbers for everything. 😂
In real life not everything is rounded, or even accurate for that matter. This only exists in a philosophical tract for accountants. You dare mock the glory of Accurate Double Ledger Accounting, you filty heathen?
We are now in a position to shrug off that loss....well congratulations, because we are 16,000,000 IM poorer after this little Fun With Numbers.

My magpie heart is undaunted.
Rounded? No. My issue with using 64 IM would primarily be the inconsistentcy with earlier transactions and only secondarily the unroundness. In real life not everything is rounded, or even accurate for that matter. This only exists in a philosophical tract for accountants.
We can just take more Efreeti and wring the loot out of their corpses and their souls.Look what they've done to Duesal!
This is what happens when Excel desk warriors become D&D players. They infect everything they touch, even the loot jockies.
That's what I mean though, these people typically make broadly reaching decision arbitrarily and it bleeds down through cultural osmosis to most other brands because of it.But things are accurate. To the cent. Always. Everyone who thinks otherwise tends to be some brand of marketing goblin or upper management ghoul.
It's a relatively small thing, but one that really bothers me is how we round the prices of gasoline when we talk about it in daily life, when it's mentioned on the news, etc. That's what I mean though, these people typically make broadly reaching decision arbitrarily and it bleeds down through cultural osmosis to most other brands because of it.
Look at any store shelf. In America, prices are completely arbitrary based on sensation and convenience.
This discussion is causing me flashbacks. Bad, BAD flashbacks. And the desire to bludgeon people to death with ledgers. That's what I mean though, these people typically make broadly reaching decision arbitrarily and it bleeds down through cultural osmosis to most other brands because of it.

We say it's $2.05 per gallon, or $1.97, or whatever, but it's actually $2.0599 or $1.9799, etc. I would rather just pay a flat $2.06 or $1.98.
/isn't crazy!
Agreed.I take some offense on actions clearly labelled as "delegated" or even "backgrounded" and approved to be such (through DP first and two(!) separate votes) being pushed to the forefront as the things Viserys has to weight in for some reason.
Just so y'all know.
... @DragonParadox specifically.
This isnt the first time, nor ever the last, but I feel like expressing the pent up annoyance.
Look, @DragonParadox likes to write. He latches onto opportunities to do so. He is extremely reluctant to pan things forward OOCly or in the background with only a couple sentences.I take some offense on actions clearly labelled as "delegated" or even "backgrounded" and approved to be such (through DP first and two(!) separate votes) being pushed to the forefront as the things Viserys has to weight in for some reason.
