Y'all realize... you could just put together a research action to create something entirely new and suited for teaching Intelligence based casters. S'no biggie... even a Herald could probably deliver a decent lecture. In fact a Herald could probably raise a primitive society from the mud to the bronze age in a few decades working with nothing more than what it has on hand (which includes fire hot enough to eventually melt regular steel and a big magi-mechanical brain with a small library on just about any subject lodged in its head). Creating skilled and intelligent constructs or bio-platforms isn't beyond our means.

Anyway, as @TalonofAnathrax pointed out, our biggest limitation isn't going to be teachers, so much as manpower, since costs rise exponentially the further over the cap you go. On a cost basis, we're already spending over half a million every year on mage schooling... technically SD on its own might be doing a commiserate amount of work on our magical brain trust as every single Scholarum possessing province put together. (Hint: It definitely is.)

...So when was someone going to tell me that? Because I have been searching for the last couple of hours trying to find something...it's fine. It is fine. I am just going to take a small nap. I will be fine tomorrow. Although I would want to make the Bio-construct a priority research if that is okay.

That's a big part of why I love the Heralds so much. They're civilization game-changers, programmed for absolute loyalty and competence. Theoretically they could swoop down on an unsuspecting tribe of savages and uplift them within a few decades.

Volantis swears to us next month, right?

I'd like to propose that we make a statement by flying upon Balerion from the Stepstones to perch on the Black Wall to accept their fealty.

I wonder if the lizard-cat recalls burning the ships the last time he came there.

It probably flew these lands even before the Doom while they were still the main daughter of Valyria, Balerion must have seen the empire in it's final breaths, is there a way to recover memories from animals?

Magic can do anything, so yes.

Anyway, next month we eat an entire elephant!

I mean, annex Volantis.

16 years is all it needs for a small tribe, one generation (to the age of majority) of humans tutored from birth and in its free time it is fully capable of assisting construction, hunting and defence. The time only goes up when it's personal attention gets pushed out a few degrees of separation, probably at greater than two apprenticeships away from the Herald .

E.g. Sothyros it could hunt once a fortnight and bring back a hock of dinosaur while the village manpower can be directed by its will into whatever else needs doing.

There would be an insane generational divide in knowledge and personal experiences but that's inevitable even over multiple decades.

16 years and you have a small village educated equally to Nobility levels.

I mean if we slap a Half-dragon template onto something we could probably make anything amazing.
Pretty sure that Viserys himself finds the idea of having half dragons more terrifying than amazing in the current environment. :V

Given all the other shit we've done lately, I wonder if we can do con drain to Robert with the stress.

How does the empire stack up landwise against Westeros? I assume it's still significantly smaller, but I'm fuzzy on how much.

In terms of pure landmass, comparable to the entire South. The North is about as large as all of that again, though.

Population, nearly equal.

Urbanization, laughably superior.

Technologically, a slight edge in almost every respect, or comparable.

Militarily, we can beat any equivalent force of arms like red-headed step children. And I would place good odds on beating a host twice our size if we leveraged our magic and arcane technology properly.

Good news, once you get two hosts of about a combined total size of 100,000 brawling in one location, it's utterly infeasible to call that a single battle, rather than a series of interconnected skirmishes. They can't bring their superior numbers to bear? They can't beat us.

Edit: Oh, and that's assuming Westeros was completely unified behind one leader against us. They're definitely not.

Considering we are chipping extremely hard at the cohesion, and information network of Westeros. We should have a hell of an easier time. Well, that, and the tactus that we are working on.

An Intimidate build is honestly quite good. Most humanoids and monsters are in fact still vulnerable to Fear, unless they're undead, constructs or Plants. It's an interesting change of pace and doesn't need much changing IMO.
His magical gear should help him deal more damage anyway.
If he goes for Intimidate further on though, he needs the boosts to make it work.
Does the size-incease from Enlarge Person count for the size-bonus to Intimidate?

Woke up at 2 AM and can't go back to sleep, so I'm poking around looking for alternative instructors for the Scholarium. These have probably already been mentioned previously, but it doesn't hurt to try again, I guess.

First, we have the Yssian Guardian Nagas. There are only three of them, but one should be able to do some teaching in Sorcerer's Deep, IMO. They have the necessary Diplomacy skill, along with high Knowledge(Arcana) and Spellcraft. Better yet, as you can see in their flavor text blurb, some of them even like to teach in order to help pass the time (I've underlined that section). Since they can cast Arcane and Divine spells as 9th level Sorcerers, they should even be able to instruct students in the use of both types of magic.

Although they are unflinching servants of the Timeless Serpent these golden nagas are by no means devoid of their own passions to while away the long ages. Some prefer the rush of battle, others the slow bubbling of achemical concoctions drawn from their own poisons, and from the works of of their exacting minds, others yet contemplate the stars or even deign to teach those shorter lived than they even without divine mandate.

Lillend Azatas would be perfect instructors for prospective Bards, though it might be difficult to Summon any of them considering the current state of Hellven. Still might be possible, though, and their partially serpentine nature might allow Yss to intervene and help with that.

Fungal Nymphs would make good Druid instructors, if we can grow them without the Fungal template's urge to infect others. Probably not worth the trouble, though, since we have dozens of Advanced Druid Lotus Leshys who can fulfill the same purpose.

The Raelis we freed from Hellven would also be a good instructor for Sorcerers, we should get in contact with him.

I think he's had his time to see the world is real by now?

Edit: Also, every single Rakshasa would be great.

Edit: Also, every single Rakshasa would be great.

Sorry bud, but I think it's unlikely. The Rakshasha God/King that resides in the Shadow Realm put a tighter leash on all of his subjects than ANY of the Archdukes of Hell to the point where our soul is nearly plucked/ripped out just by taking ONE of his Rakshasha. And he wasn't very important or strong in the first place.

1) Research for s new fleshforged teacher - not viable for a few months due to strategic ones taking up all the people.

2) Rackshasa - not viable because we can't safely hipppity-hoppity and steal Bloodstone Emperor's property... Yet.

3) Good Outsiders - most Azatas are downright extinct and summoning all the remaining ones is something that really likely have been done before us by someone else.
Same for most things that lived near them, incuding Moon Dogs.

4) Uniilas - unless we find another one in service of Mammon, we are out of luck.

Asmodeus has 4, which we are to summon this month - but I'll fight tooth and nail against recruiting any of his minions. Even if miraculously a chance to appears.
Too much of a risk, that.

5) Any Outsider of high CR - kinda breaks the point of "we have to summon them en-masse" - it won't be a background action to diplomance anyone over CR9.

Advanced Druid Lotus Leshi seem to be our best bet still, yes.
