So, let's go after the puppet first.

Capturing is pointless since the Oblivion can destroy it as a free action and will likely do so out of spite.

I'd say we try the good old Avasculate-beatdown?

The eggs would be the only thing alive that I can think of, though if it managed to somehow absorb a long-dead warrior champion we've got other problems.

Yeah how the fuck did it do that? Any "living" creature it has slain in the past hour. Did he preserve that general inside its body and keep him alive till now? Or was the warrior so much of a badass that he was alive till recently? If the latter then way to fucking drop the ball jackass.

I think it might have subsumed the general centuries ago before it was trapped and had it in reserve. That or it gained the ability to subsume the dead.

It might have killed and recreated that general ages ago, with the problem that its puppets where caught in the trap as well until recently?

...Should we have NE used in our Empire as a way of sterilizing wounds and/or surgical instruments?
:V
Great way to get NE bacteria to evolve. ;)
Maybe? Could be. That also means that the poor general is probably not going to be brought back to life then. Which is more than fine because I already know what I want from this encounter.
I've got my fingers crossed for getting the general somehow, so I hope this isn't the case.

Stuck at work and too busy to do much planning at the moment.

What do we want to do, though? Hunt the puppet down, go straight to the Oblivion, etc?

The general consensus was to kill the puppet because we didn't want to to come back and help its master while we were fighting it.
I would like to go kill off Oblivion before it could cause some other trouble, and seeing as we are kinda spot-on with gear to kill/capture it...
But whatever.

The Ooze general probably has some sick gear I bet. I mean he was a legendary warrior after all. If we can't get him we will get his loot...unless the items failed to make their save, at which point,
I'm confident we can find some way to get him. Unless he's been straight up soul killed we can bargain with Yss to bring him back once we have the right components, and I don't think he's been soul-killed just yet.

Hunt the puppet down, see if it can be captured and quickly stuffed into the anti-god box before the epic ooze can get to it.

I mean if we kill/capture it would the warrior just disappear because of the capture? Because in that scenario it might be good to just knock it down/out.
See the above - if the general hasn't been soulkilled, we can probably rezz him via Yss still.
Guardian Nagas set a bit of a precedent like that :V

How much was it to get Coatls direct intervention in a battle again? Same for Yss? I think we really should consider bringing them in with upto half a dozen species survival on the line. This if anything would be worth their intervention.

We had the remains of them.

The Oblivion disintegrates. You would need True Rezz even it the general died as few years ago.

As is he islong dead, his soul moved on and his body reduced to nothing.
We have absolutly no anchor, nothing to start with for a Resurrection.

The biggest concern I have with the ooze is what happens to the facility and the eggs if it dies or is captured?

Might want to split off some people to find the eggs if we can afford it.

Oh right...yeah we can do that. I want to stuff that Ooze down Yss' gullet because holy fuck that thing scares me.
That would be quite the sacrifice. :D

We'll need to see. We don't know how the ooze managed to get him as an ooze puppet in the first place, and the guardian seemed to view it as nearly impossible, so the bones could be undisturbed for all we know with the ooze having figured out how to do it another way.
