@egoo
Could you note down a minor action to define marriage-laws next turn?

If we still want to help her personal issues without her knowing about divination we can easily do it by setting appropriate laws before she even joins our realm. And of course potentially others too.

We might also decide to raise the age for marriage a bit. Or set one in the first Palace, since Westeros doesn't seem to have any definite laws on the matter.
...Yeah, sure.
Looking back at the discussions on the matter before I'm not looking forward to legalize, but sure, I'll have that on the list.

Stannis: "So I only have the implicit trust of one house and the tentative support of a few others."

Viserys: "Cool. Be right back. I have to... go do... dragon things."

Viserys: "Like solving ALL YOUR PROBLEMS."

Stannis: "Wait wha--"

Later.

Viserys, via letter: "Your welcome!"

Stannis, not sure if he should be gritting his teeth: "...for what?"

Even later.

Stannis, gritting his teeth: "Fucking... Targaryens."

We might go seek out Gith (because Illithids are an ever-increasing danger and we have no idea how to war them), @everyone.
Or look into She Who Brings Enlightment.
Or visit Uncle and ask a shitload of questions.
Or do the ritual to turn all Weirwoods fire-proof (while conveniently voting on what to sacrifice for the voted-on and planned 16 Heart Trees on MA-list)
Or have a quick chat with Danelle.
We can probably grow the Weirwoods now. I'm not sure what preparations @Goldfish had in mind for Sothoryos, though, but if he's ready then we can get started.
As far as I can tell in hindsight Adoption was the dynamite stick in the issue that I didn't notice.

Without that it will propably be less of a problem.
The dynamite stick was that you were trying to do it as a sub-clause of a different vote entirely instead of it being its own thing and treated with due importance and forethought.

Do we want to...

Ask him to start looking into the storm god?

Edit: I wonder if Stannis will realize we value his honor and forthrightness when he learns we didn't actually need him to take over the storm lands. At all.

That too.
So now I'm asking for a minor action with a proper vote, focused on the topic, is that okay?
Should be fine, we'll talk about it when it comes up.

We came down on Stannis like a metric ton of good fortune.

He swears to Viserys, and then immediately after his bandit problem just vanishes and he gains the support of four Houses in the stormlands (one of which was so trusted by Robert that he didn't bother to treat with them) and secures the entire kingdom vastly in Stannis' favor. Robert has, what, four major Houses left?:rofl::rofl:

I'd love a Golden Shields interlude on this topic one day. They go around and spin tales of the Dread Sorcerer in the Stepstones, and then when their backs are turned said Dread Sorcerer flips multiple Houses to the loyalist cause.

@DragonParadox so Caron and Morrigen aren't explicitly opposed to our approaching them from what we can tell, right?

@Duesal Might be something to consider for later. Not as if we can be outbid if they are just worried about gaining glory or wealth, neither of which Stannis would offer on principle to those who expect their fealty to be that conditional.

We have to do a bit of work on the topic anyway.
Formalize the right of the state to make marriages legally acknowledged for example.
Right now it's mostly in priest's hands, we propably want our officials to hold the key to legal marriages.

There are maybe more issues on the topic that will come up once the discussion is running.

Edit: I doubt we want a secret marriage with two witnesses and a drunk septon to be legally binding?

Let's do everything at once, then.

[X]
Sacrifice ~700 HD in a grand ritual to turn every existing Weirwood fireproof.
[X] Have some more Heart Trees grown:
-[X] Healing Tree for Lady Phassen in Myr
-[X] Healing Tree for Relath in Tolos
-[X] Healing Tree for the Sealord in Pentos
-[X] Healing Tree for Riz'Neth in the Snake Port
-[X] Healing Tree for Bloom in Skane
-[X] Healing Tree for Salladhor Saan in the Basilisk Isles
-[X] Seven Trees in the hills of Andalos
-[X] Commerce Tree for the Sealord in Braavos
-[X] Healing Tree in the Opaline Vault in the gods district

--[X] A source of constant Daylight for the tree has to be bought, or permanently enchanted (via diamond dust and excessive CL) onto the tree.
--[X] Take care to inform the officials of the particularities the holy trees of Old Gods hold, and the depth to which their roots go - so as to ensure that you do not inadvertedly damage anything.
--[X] Include a Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshy as a caretaker of the tree.

-[X] Healing Tree for the Xorn
--[X] A source of constant Daylight for the tree has to be bought, or permanently enchanted (via diamond dust and excessive CL) onto the tree.

@Crake, don't forget that we executed a Morrigen when we caught him slaughtering a village of smallfolk because a bee stung the late lord of the House and cause some allergic reaction which killed him. I'm not sure if they know about it, but if they do we have a huge uphill battle.

Sure we can outbid them, whether it's worth it is the question, but if we found it worth it to outbid them, we could promise them land for any second sons, we have plenty of places we can install new lords in, and we can always make more in Sothoryos.

They are probably suspicious of Viserys as much as Stannis, though that's not necessarily impossible to overcome.
Getting either of them would be fantastic. With Nightsong especially a Legion would be able to march south from Dorne basically uncontested.

Sacrifice votes need to be way more detailed than this, dude. Give me a few hours, I'll work on it.

Augh, allright.
I dared to assume we could do that with a bit of retroactive vote, seeing everyting grown first

Sue me, I've been sitting on that huge-ass list for last 3(!) turnvotes. I want to finally empty it.

@DragonParadox, from what we know, does Lord Morrigen know what happened to his brother? The answer there will shape our policy for the rest of the Stormlands.

That said, getting House Caren of Nightsong at some point would make Robert's cause utterly hopeless. With that we'd have the Dornish Marches secured and ready for invasion.
