A large one then shrugs.
Turn best!Uncle into a couch potato!

...
More seriously, would be a way to slowly connect with the empire and reconnect with people in general. Worst thing to happen for our puppetmaster is such to stop caring. Could dispense advice about current happenings as well, but that's honestly a secondary consideration. Want him more engaged.

@Goldfish I know it is a fair amount of cash/crafting time, but could it be slotted in over the course of some months - should other people agree?

We have a couple MirrorVision mirrors that haven't yet been earmarked for installation, and there are two more on this coming month's crafting schedule. Making one available for Bloodraven isn't an issue, if he wants one.

I'm just not sure he wants or needs one, though. He's a Greenseer which comes with some degree of remote viewing/precognitive capability, plus he's dialed directly into the OG's Heart Tree network. He can probably see anything he wants within a fairly good-sized radius around a Weirwood tree.

That probably takes power though and some amount of focus. Doubt he could justify to himself for example, to watch theatre.

Ah... @DragonParadox?
Apparently, I don't know when to drop a plot-line.
Feel free to stop me from this point on.
:V

1) What do we know of the Sallosh situation going further? How's Alexi doing?
2) We... do have some more time before we have to deal with "Messenger of Trios, Herald of the Hollow God", or rather, his religion?
How's he been doing? Any waves? We certainly haven't heard 'bout him since our last meeting.
3) How's Yss' temple at Tyrosh? Is the Hydra-guardian all grown up by now?
4) Any specifics in how Braavosi underground (which we have an inordinate amount of connections to) is going to operate now that we took the place over?
5) Did Yss get Trade Domain this month? (if not, 2 more months is the guaranteed limit)

  1. He is doing well, no calamities and no great advances.just chugging along
  2. You have at least 2-3 months until you have to deal with that, maybe as much as half a year
  3. It's half grown, still has the young template
  4. Much as it always has, the point of a criminal underground is to make money so for them as for many others new oportunities have been opened
  5. Unfortunately he did not

So, the temple is built and operating, then?
Good.

1. Is there a need to specify building more in Lys/Myr/Braavos/Pentos/etc, or would those be set up by worshippers automatically at this point?

2. Anything on what Wax Golem had been doing all this time?

It'd be fun but disappointing if he just locked himself in a supply closet for months and months :V
Unfortunately he did not
Oh well, it's not like I had much hope in dice.

  1. Building more will get them built faster, but they will get built automatically yes
  2. Trying to pry apart the faith part of the Faith of Trios

@Crake, do we have enough finances floating about to mindlessly throw some money at speeding up the spread of Best Snek's influence?
About 4-5k per temple, I assume?

We'll likely get some Favor out of that too, but unlike Jazzirian, Yss operates freely enough on sacrifices alone, so that isn't the main factor for sure.

Part MMCMIX: Rumors of the Realms of Men and Spirits
Rumors of the Realms of Men and Spirits

Twenty-Ninth Day of the Ninth Month 293 AC

Rumors of Essos:

Quarreling Princes: The waters in Lorath are slow indeed to still after last month's coup by the three princes, none of the trio having never been expected to rule anything larger than a ceremonial parade and now finding themselves in command of a city faced with a world transformed. Braavos, who alone among Valyria's Daughters was not founded by the dragonlords, has sworn to the Dragon King and Pentos is fallen. How much longer until his eyes turn upon Lorath? All manner of mad schemes fly down the grey alleyways of Lorath, from withdrawing into the depths of the mazes to launching a great colonial expedition into the icy waters of the Shivering Sea to found a new city beyond the reach of Targaryen ambition. Meanwhile among the city's merchant houses, many claim the seeming chaos is nothing more than a veil for the efforts of the princes to negotiate their surrender through Braavosi intermediaries.

Blood in the Dark: Following ever more credible reports that new Valyrian steel has been forged in Sorcerer's Deep, several Qohorik smiths are said to have attempted to defect from the city which has set the new priesthood into no less of a frenzy than it would have the old, ending with the deaths of most if not all the intrepid smiths and their families. Most of the city was, however, vastly unconcerned with the matter, simply rejoicing at renewed grain imports banishing the specter of starvation.

Fisherman's Misfortune: More and more Ibbenese whalers are vanishing into the cold waters of Shivering Sea. Most blame storms or pirates, though sailors being sailors have more fanciful tales to tell, from murderous sea spirits to ghost ships hunting the living.

Rumors from the Sea of Fire:

Crumbling Earth: For the first time since the entrance of the Djinn into the war, the Brazen Throne has launched a successful counter attack against the Shaitan, driving three of the Peerless Legions onto their secondary fortifications and claiming the heads of three prominent earth mages, not that the stone spirits seem daunted by the setback. They are still in a far better position than they were half a year ago.

Scattered Corsairs: The attempts to prey on Djinn trade by Efreeti raiders have met with slim results due to the rapid implementation of a convoy system far in advance of what the Brazen Throne could have expected. There are also rumors of strange new ship designs used in some of the largest raids of the month, but no one seems to be able to tell just what those were.

Salamander Treachery: The alliance of rebel Salamander Princedoms has been forced to turn most of its attention on one of its own after it was discovered they retained old loyalties in secret. The reaction was swift, brutal, and encouraging at least for the alliance's capacity to deal with internal dissent.

OOC: No Westerosi rumors this time since you guys just got the Conclave info (and it's really late for me so I had to drop something).

Planetos is continuing to be a shitshow and a mess of scary things eating people. News on 11.

With Efreeti having even minimal successes in this war, my desire to continue raiding them only intensifies. And intensifies hard.

That convoy is sooo getting attacked the moment we hear from SIduri...
Also, char-serpents may just be a good enough distraction/diversion.

...In fact, I'm adding a note to keep track of a chance to do either in MAs.

mhm.
G'night everyone.

Bah, it's a shame we couldn't have been there. One day in the future I will revel in being able to turn our full attention to this war.

Our Wyverns are making their first waves? I'm looking forward to a full fleet let by a Moonchaser.

By the way @DragonParadox, I hope our allies are linking up through a safe haven in Sorcerer's Deep through the Terminus as part of their convoy?

Ah, the Salamanders. I really want to touch base with them, too. They're going to be coordinating quite a bit with Amrelath and Yrten when they're both ready to start conquering.

Rumor posts are always fun, @DragonParadox, even when there are no pants being shat. :p

Too bad about those Qohorik smiths. They should have gotten while the getting was good.

I'm looking forward to the Moonchaser going into battle, a wing of Wyverns and flight of Dragons formed up around it, as we rain down screaming death upon our enemies. It will be beautiful.

When the 10th month is finished, we will have six Heralds, six Wyverns, and a completed Moonchaser.

The surprising part was the speed with which the Djinn organized , though your Wyverns did help whenever they were present.
Can you tell me how what munitions they expended aiding the Djinni?

Beetle Bombs, and what kind; explosive, ice, or fire? And for non-suicide drone bombs?

I've been updating the Armory page today.
