There is, of course, a spell for that.

Could this be adapted to serve as a storage medium? And if so, what would a Memory Crystal-to-Mirrorvision converter cost us to enchant? The Memory Crystal spell is only 2nd level, so if we used that as a base to build the spell on, along with a caveat that a MirrorVision mirror is needed to show the memory, 1,080 IM seems reasonable to me. The MirrorVision mirrors themselves are 2,880 IM each. Seems like it could be a nice upgrade.

Creating the Memory Crystals themselves should be easy. They only cost 10 IM each and the memory remains until replaced. The designated viewer who will impart the memory to the crystal could be hopped up on sensory enhancement buffs to insure the clearest, most detailed memory possible. At 10 minutes of memory per crystal, even a very long performance wouldn't cost that much to record, and would thereafter be available to replay whenever desired.

The spell is meant to work with actual minds, so you would need to either introduce and actual thinking mind in the network which would be rather unethical, or adapt the spell.

Perhaps a well paid position of "Memory Crystal Interface", to serve as a conduit between the crystal and the MirrorVision mirror? It would be a rough equivalent to the folks who work behind the scenes running a television station, like the sound and video engineers.

@Goldfish, could you add those spells to the PM with stuff we need to add to tje research tree so that we don't forget about it?

Am on spotty internet.

Five minutes and counting to send this post.

Ooh, so you are working on that Research-actions-rework, then?

Or, am I simply misreading and get my hopes slightly more up than needed, with you but talking about the usual "list-style"-kind of presentation for them?

@Azel @DragonParadox, does Moran have a vague idea of the kinds of things you can buy in the markets? For example, I'd like to purchase Lawful Good fruits to grow into trees if there are any available. I'd also like a Celestial Smith to hire as a retainer to show us how to make celestial weapons.

  • [X] Plan "Nothing to see here..."
-[X] We will venture to the Court of Travelers. Of all the places we might best find our footing in Heaven's Shore, a market that caters to travelers and traders seems most promising. We still know far too little of the lay of the land to seek out more interesting locales.
-[X] Greet the Devils respectfully, as befits their duty, then use the full weight of Viserys' Knowledge(The Planes) and his social acumen, along with Telepathic assistance from Mereth should it prove helpful, to navigate the encounter with an aim toward minimizing suspicion as best we can and without making ourselves any more memorable than necessary.
--[X] If questioned about our intentions, we are headed to the Court of Travelers, where we intend to peruse the markets and speak with the established traders. We often act as traders ourselves, as opportunities present themselves, and we're always on the lookout for a bit of profit.
---[X] If pressed, admit that much of the reason for our visit is simple curiosity, to see the shattered remnants of Heaven, though we really do intend to conduct some trade while we're here.
---[X] Give false names and backgrounds, if necessary, but not complex ones. The Devils shouldn't expect honesty here, but they might be suspicious if we are too willing to share with them.
---[X] We have acquired the services of a Lantern Archon familiar with the area to act as a guide on our visit.
-[X] Viserys and Dany will all be disguised via Cloak of Khyber augmented glamours, altering their general appearances. Viserys' cloak will be most carefully disguised so as to not rouse suspicion.

And extra +7 to SR, it's either SR = HD or innate SR +2, whichever is higher.

So it's 37 now.

We should craft or buy him a Mindblank item, so ASR and True Casting don't work and they have to get through that SR the old fashioned way.
I strongly feel the need to veto that.

SR like that wouldn't look out of place on Demon Lords and makes him de facto immune to most magic.

@DragonParadox, your opinion?
