So since everything has gotten into screaming mode a very unethical, slightly cruel idea comes to mind. Do you guys remember the Last of Us? What if we made a fungus capable of doing that but only to fiends. Now we would place the proper fail-safes. But by doing so we could turn hell in onto it self as every devil we decide to banish back to hell could be a carrier for the fungus (after we interrogate and banish it/sacrifice it).

Thoughts?

I'd save this as a last resort, because if that gets out of hand that's the sort of thing that could have Hell turn its full attention towards us.

But I definitely want it in our arsenal.

Btw just remembered that Viserys thinked they were as children

Motherfucker the people in the room don't make a century if you exclude the Outsiders.

Dragon Power does make some wonderful mentalities

So I thought we were in a altered DND setting, but it turns out we were Warhammer Fantasy all along :V

All that is Good lies sundered, and beyond what Gods cling to the mortal realm the planes are infested with bloodthirsty demons and creatures beyond mortal comprehension. Not the best state of affairs to be sure.

And while it's not really a priority (and seems to piss people off whenever it gets mentioned) I can see why people are bringing up Bahamut as an option here.

He is a dragon god, and thus always at max power regardless of worship, meaning he would not have to be boosted to be useful.

He is the mortal enemy of Tiamat, and thus will likely jump at fucking with her/give us rewards to doing so.

We know that he exists and at least has some existing worshippers, unlike some of the other forgotten Gods.

He seems to have no ambitions on Planetos, unlike most of the powerful Gods we interact with.

The downside of course is that he is either a gigantic asshat or in a relationship with Tiamat in which he can only act reactively (to our understanding at least) which makes him less desirable to seek out.

Regardless, we were just told about the grave importance of Gods for souls of the afterlife, so empowering as many as possible that are the least dickish/the most powerful seems like a really good idea right now.

Sorry if whatever I said upset anyone, and I can delete it if it's just going to start a multi page shitfest.

The right place to bring Bahamut in would be the giant trap we're planning for Tiamat. We'd need to bring him in at the last second or otherwise covertly since he might blow the surprise on the whole thing (that reciprocal connection means Tiamat will notice him doing something), but he'd probably be able to contribute quite a bit to a trap against his opposite.

O.k. so. Optics. Moral and ethical concerns related to this. We need to find the moral line between using living creatures as tools in a cruel way and in an acceptable way.

Remember the pact primeval, Asmodeus and his entire race were created to be literal tools so their super powered/enlightened master's could party 24/7.

And since hell is basically a monument to the ugliness of using people as tools, I doubt he ever got over it.

Don't be the ancient valyrians is a good start.

Either that, or actually going with the "Godcrafting" tab of our research all-out now.
:V

For real though, while we should do both, really...
Please, don't let the "horrible fate of the universe" blind you, @everyone.
Nothing changed, but us learning the stakes.
Gods that are assholes, are still assholes.

Those that can't change and deal with us doing less-than-moral things are the same still.

I'm generally against searching for Bahamut.
We have much more importantant, and closer Deities to deal with.
Black Goat. Drunken God. Etc.

If he finds us, okay then, we'll listen.
Until then, we have more important things to do than him.

I think we're going to reach an impasse here. Valyrian Steel, for example, is not going to stop any time soon. Daemons are going to be used for a lot of it.

My opinion on Bahamut is thus.

@DragonParadox he should have sought us out a long time ago.

As for the other God's... We can't keep pretending they aren't important. They are, and we have a duty to help them help our people.

We literally spent a few updates looking for a dead god to revive.
I think it would be easier to just find and talk to a cleric of bhamut. Seems just as usefull if not more.

I agree and we can ask him why he didnt approch us earlier. We should atleast have contact with aevery good gods.
Sigh, even the seven.

@tarrangar just to reiterate what others have said, you aren't going to get much traction on the Bahamut front. I've tried to tell you before, you've got to pick your battles.

Now your idea for growing symbiotic lifeforms in the Fungal Forge, that's not only neat and potentially useful, it's more likely to get support in thread. If you want some help with mechanics or just brainstorming, I'm available.

If there were only a way to summon demons/daemons currently partying in the Upper planes ...

My issue with the whole biological weapons thing is that I don't know what they count as. Are they items? No they are alive. So they are creatures with low Intelligence. I am also afraid that we might break game balance with it but that is on DP to decide.

So if I were the fiends wanting more souls and more power the first thing I'd do is go after these divided gods taking them out one at a time. Until there is no safe haven for mortal souls.

What this tells me is that we need to get as many good gods up and running as possible, and then unite them against the fiends. Right now even if we unite the entire planet under our banner were still fucked.

If the good gods can learn to get along with everything we do in our empire then they can come but fuck compromising everything we have built on the whims of a god. We made the Empire and fuck letting gods dictate things to us.

I am honestly surprised it hasn't happened already. I would have thought the lower planes would have taken care of the whole lot by now. Maybe that's the reason for the extremely low number of Good god's we have seen so far.

I really want to get in contact with the fortress cities in Nirvana and coordinate assaults with them against the Daemons and Deep Ones there.

If we can summon Daemons directly from the celestial planes that would be amazing, but I'm not sure how to manage that.

For symbiotes, there is already a mechanic (see the link I posted earlier). Well, it's a WotC mechanic, so 'balanced' is not guaranteed.

...No, we searched for a god we knew of historically being an enemy to Deep Ones, and one we had a way of finding the remains/echo of.
It took us both someone with the bloodline, an altar, and Dany to do.

A God, whose tenets and ideals we knew to be largely aligning wit ours, and who, if that took some diplomancing, was largely non-asshole. Senile, yes, but that's about it.

A god, may I add, whose outlook on the world we knew wouldn't conflict with ours.

We can't say most of these rings about Bahamut.

....I'm sooo fucking tired of this.
Can we just stop bringing up that Old Asshole?

*goes to sleep, hoping to not get a facefull of bahamut-argument in the morning*

Divining their true names would be hard, I guess.
...
Nabbing a few locally, and then mindspider them for true names, then divine the daemons location (or just summon, cannot have enough VS after all).
