Hence my assumption that they got divine warning and are wondering if we did too. There's no other real reason for it.
Or they just ran a background check, and, knowing that Viserys is at Conclave (or in the background of it at the very least), they have an idea that Dywen is either a mask, or a puppet.

Anti-air batteries and stuff would be helpful. Not too sure about static defenses like walls, but we also definitely need to consider hiring some mercenaries or something to form the core of our 'won't be insta-gibbed by highish CR enemies attacking to clear the way for low CR chaff'. That or train or build them, though that takes time.
We've got two years left, right?

Next month's crafting is going to include more Teleporting bombs and I think it's time to start working on the Teleportation Chamber.

@DragonParadox I neglected to put forward a vote to establish additional production lines for the Royce Alchemical Works this month. Got distracted by other stuff. Is that something we can do now and have it apply retroactively to the first of the month? I might have forgotten to handle it, but Viserys definitely would not have.

Wouldn't bet on it.

The Squids have been pushing shit since we signed that wet piece of toilet paper we called a treaty.

They've already been attacking, they just haven't gone full invasion mode yet.

The first, and I mean the absolute first second they can pull it off they'll strike.

We need to assume the war is already hot if not outright boiling.

I suppose that's possible, since we have done some stuff as Viserys, but the speed of their reaction suggests more than just suspicion. Either they were preparing an explicit trap, which I think DP said they weren't, or there's a different reason. Besides, why even guess that we're hiding under an assumed face? Most people don't know that's a standard tactic for us, and would probably assume the "Dragon King" would be above that.

Sure that's fine.

To be fair, the leader of the Glassmaker's Guild also assumed we would be a blustering despot.

Dywen not standing up to even a cursory background check has been my greatest objection leaning into this disguise.

Wouldn't bet on it.

I'm telling you, they're building a super weapon, and it's not going to be finished in five years.

[X] Let the attack continue
-[X] Give no sign that we know of the events occurring outside the Conclave, but show mild confusion at the sudden attention from the two Chosen.
-[X] Warn Dany should Lucan or Danelle appear likely to leave.
[X] Retroactive Industrial Alchemy Expansion: As of the 1st day of the 9th month, begin installation of four additional production lines and training of the requisite personnel to operate them. (Cost: 120,000 IM total)
-[X] Facility #13: Explosive Packs (450 per month, Not For Sale)
-[X] Facility #14: Explosive Packs (450 per month, Not For Sale)
-[X] Facility #15: Explosive Packs (450 per month, Not For Sale)
-[X] Facility #16: Explosive Packs (450 per month, Not For Sale)

So should we just burn everything down now. I say we invade. I dont trust azel with time. Westros just need someone comptent to be a threat.

I'm not sure if this is agreement or dissent. It sort of sounds like the latter, but ends up as the former.

It was confirmation that it is possible the vast majority of people regard Viserys as a megalomaniac simply because a lot of our reforms are pretty emblematic of the Evil Overlord's playbook.

@DragonParadox , I'm sorry if you are already asleep, but did our companions manage to already capture one of their mages? What did the divination about their base turn up? I'm asking because they shouldn't be surprised that there was a pixie in there. They should know beforehand.

Unless they gave her an item of Mind Blank. In which case I'm fine because that's more loot for us.

Honestly I'm tempted to rob the mages blind, dump them naked in a sept somewhere, and be done with it.

Can't really use them ourselves, killing them is a PR hit (not that it really matters when everyone apparently thinks you skin babies alive to make condoms or whatever the rumor is this week), and to be perfectly frank we can buy, supply, and/or outright create better mages on demand.

Whatever we do though this can and will disrupt the Conclave so that's a win regardless.

This implies that they'll be able to prove it was us.

*Considers what BeepSmile would do to attack Viserys*

*Considers Azel*

Ah.

To all in the thread, I wish you good luck rapidly get used to needing to being thoughtful, and clever. It will be, well, needed.

@Goldfish I am now leaning more toward to (Mythic) Time-Stop over Miracle. Not sure how useful such would be however, but feels, in an 'subconscious weighing' kind of way that it might be more helpful.

We've already seen that they don't have to prove it.

The peasants would, and quite often do, believe whatever they local big wig says about us. It's only been our constant efforts and the tournament we just held that made people think "okay maybe he doesn't eat babies but he does have weird shit going on so who knows what he does" as the general reaction.

If the Chosen of the gods starts spouting "The Dragon has stolen the Father's own Mages during the conclave" then they'll believe him.
