If that, what was the context of the song linked? There's some pretty fucked up songs...
Edit: very quick research seems to link it to 4chan memes. That's never a positive indicator, but... I have also lost interest in researching further.

I looked at the lyrics, as posted on SB in 2016. I could see how SV's rules would require proper contextualisation in discussion of the song to prevent it [posts linking to or discussing the song] coming across as glorification of genocide.
...death of the author applies to general thread posts also, I suppose.

... Ok. I looked at the YouTube comments of the video I googled that had the same name as what egoo posted in thread. They... some of them, were gleefully surprised that the song was posted on youtube, which I found odd. Can you elaborate further on context or link to an SV thread discussing said recent events?

It wasn't that. It was threatening to put someone on ignore, it's considered inflammatory discourse. I initially hesitated to say this in so many words because I did not want to stir up the salt, but I can see that not saying so can cause it's own problems.
Really guys it sucks that @egoo can't participate for three days but this is not the end of the world, he will be back soon. It's I think the third or forth mod action in 3 years of thread history.

For what it's worth I've always loved the flavour you put into Minor Magic Items, we have enough gold but if it's too much to keep track of for you I can fully understand that.
Minor items can give great insight into research too and we near always find a home for them, graduates, Inquisition heads etc if we have to resort to an NPC recipient.
The update itself was awesome, I laughed at the "should I tell them what you are" and his whining over the Pact not being undone by trickery.
Someone needs to read their History books, the Pact was born of trickery.

So is this confirmation that moving Weirwoods will never be possible, even with the right sacrifices?
You could do it in theory, you would have to provide a lot of power to keep the tree alive in transit and you would have to figure out how to for a lack of a better word anesthetize the Old Gods for the separation. It's probably not worth the effort unless you have something very special in mind.

Evacuation of the most important trees beyond the wall, as has been noted before, we are unlikely to be able to protect them once Winter comes, and the Old gods hate the destruction of Weirwoods, so I was hoping we could move at least the most important ones that are beyond the wall.
