Also, if nobody objects, I kind of want to recruit the Faerie Dragon. I'd like to get it to swear fealty to us while it's weak, then steadily grow it in power until it can build a subordinate court. Sticking him in Sothoryos under Wyla's authority would be neat, but my main desire is simply to have him. I honestly wasn't expecting to see a Faerie Dragon at all. Having one come to us is a very pleasant surprise.

The issue is Ned "I will stay at his side, even against the gods!" Stark, who'm the thread would never be willing to execute, and Stannis "DUTY DUTY DUTY" Baratheon, who I personally would like to preserve though I'm far more willing to murder people I like for personal gain then the average poster.
Why? Ned would probably be the one making Robert obey his oaths to the Night's Watch, either from Winterfell or on the Wall with him, and Stannis hates Robert's guts even more than in canon and isn't a complete moron. We give the man an out acceptable to his sensabilities, he's gonna take it, especially if the Baratheons are at war with the Lannisters at that point.

Let's be blunt here. How long to you think will Robert survive in the Nights Watch before somebody shanks him?
Robert was hated in the Watch and that was before we came there and threw free stuff at them with both hands.

I would rather avoid the political mess left behind by some guy who lost two brothers and his fief in the Rebellion tossing him down the Wall.

Drizzil?

I'm not sure if she is Fey enough to have a court, since she is mechanically more Dragon.

And she grows as an Oracle, which is also not something most Fey will value due to their dislike of gods.

That would something to ask @DragonParadox and the character IC about.

@Azel, an addition:
Percieve Cues for +5 competence on Sense Motive roll. Just in case, against this fuck.
Fleeting Flame for +2 untyped Diplo/Buff/Intimidation on one roll

EDIT: Nevermind that, apparently we have a ring with +10 Competence on SM checks already.

@Goldfish, I think these are all "obscure stuff" that we can apply here:
Fleeting Flame for +2 untyped Diplo/Buff/Intimidation on one roll
Honeyed Tongue to effectively re-roll any diplomacy check untill the most important one, on which those "nat 20" from a spell should go.
Focused Scrunity for +5 untyped Diplomacy bonus

(does +10 Competene bonus on Check Motive from our ring override Competence bonus from spells?)

... That is a good point. I guess the cleaner solution is just to let Cersei kill him.

I'd want the Faerie Dragon even without a potential new court.

By the way, @Azel, regarding that fey who we were going to grant lands to around the Rhoyne, we were going for full fealty there, right? @DragonParadox, since she's a Fey Lady, does she come with her own court?

If she wants to be legally recognized as the ruler of the area then yes, she needs to swear full fealty.

If she doesn't want that, we can certainly hatch out some other agreement, but I'm hopeful that this won't be necessary.

Getting our first territorial Fey court, voluntarily and freely sworn at that, would be a major victory against the Court of Stars.

She has been asleep until very recently and before that many of her friends and allies died when Valyria conquered the area (and afterwards when people like Aemon were looking for crafting mats).

I don't think there's much left that could be called a court.

I'm pretty sure we could make sure something like that wouldn't happen. Besides, they'd probably enjoy watching his utter humiliation more. Robert will hate this a million times more than dying in battle.

Fingers crossed.

She should be able to collect more fey for herself soon enough.

Still, though, this leaves her in an excellent position to swear fealty to us. Both parties have a lot to gain from the arrangement.

You guys forget the little fact that Viserys absolutely hates Bobby B.

Viserys wants to kill Robert.

It's less the bitter anger or the red hot rage he experiences for people he wants to kill, and more the cold anger he feels for people he wants to execute.

Unfortunately, murder, death in battle or death on the block, are all politically inconvenient to us. Better that he die via assassination or 'accident'.

Alright, I will just blurt out my idea before this old discussion keeps going in familiar circles.

Talk with him.
Beat some sense into him.
Convince him to let Cersei kill him to spite the bitch.
Bring him back in a new body.

For all intents and purposes, Robert Baratheon is dead.
Instead, Ned can hang out with his new best friend Bobert Raratheon and Stannis can feel vindicated for being the only good one of the lot who actually stuck to his duties.

You know, if we resurrected Lyanna and got her to vouch for the fact that she had just as much part to play in the whole Rebellion as any other Stark (fucking Brandon, fucking Rickard...)

Then we can assume the biggest component to his hatred of us, pathological, and personal, would fall away, thus removing the biggest malus.

It's getting a little late to do a Bonifer interlude and it isn't flowing properly in any case so I'll just leave it to the morning. Is there any lore or god you guys would like to see?
