Since we talked about Brexit earlier today, I would like to add that the UK Parliament just got done voting on alternative options. They all were defeated.

So, @Tomcost, you may no not feel less bad about your country, but you can feel reassured that others don't have any better governments. Or lack thereof as the case may be.

@DragonParadox, can we get a blessing from Yss to give a divine order to our Guardian Nagas to repopulate their species as much as possible? Along with a blessing to help it happen?
If we really want more Guardian Nagas we can always use directed reincarnation, there probably aren't many of our subjects who want to be Guardian Nagas, but we all know the attitudes of Yss worshippers, namely that it's always better to choose life than death, so the any snakemen who die will probably gladly take a deal to get a free reincarnate, in return for being reincarnated as a Guardian Naga.

Seeing as Guardian Nagas are fairly strong, we might need to use more power than a Lesser Wish and a Reincarnate, but we can probably get Yss to supply what's lacking, for an appropriate amount of sacrifices.

Viserys is not sure if Yss has the authority to do that, he seems to leave his worshipers mostly alone in that regard, even if he does the implications of ordering sentients to breed even by proxy are unfortunate.
Fine then. In that case we'll simply have to either nudge the Guardian Nagas into wanting to repopulate, or somehow get more until we have a natural breeding population. Around 200 should be fine.

I wonder if we can make them in a Flesh Forge.

We already have a reliable way to repopulate a species, we just use directed reincarnation to make more of them, sure with how Guardian Nagas are, a Limited Wish might not be enough by itself, but if that's the case, then we can probably bribe Yss with sacrifices to supply the remaining power needed.

That reminds me @DragonParadox it's been months since I last asked, has the COTF gotten any closer to deciding, whether they want reincarnated humans to join their specie?

So it's not useful for us, but someone completely without morals, could get twice as much out of their sacrifices, by torturing them until they hated life and wanted to die?

I it does not count as willing sacrifice since they would only be accepting it as an alternative to more torture. I suppose on could get them into the state of preferring death even to being healed and let go but that would take so long and often just not work. Ultimately it would not be worth much even to someone monstrous enough to attempt it.

Didn't we clear that up already? They said they were willing to try after they found nothing in the forests of Essos.

I'll have to look though in the morning to check.
Problem is if we want them to retain their cultural identity they would have to be the ones approaching people offering them a new life, and we haven't heard anything back from them on targeted reincarnation beyond your inital OOC comment that they would be willing to try.

They don't really know where to start, humans are still rather new to them.

I swear it's like almost every government in the world is being run by the fucking Lannisters at this point.

If I wasn't stuck in the U.S. and driven by my childhood and teenage years to be so Nihilistic it'd be unsettling.

That being said how long until we light that Dawn Tree candle, cause I'm just giddy in anticipation.

It's at the very end of the festival.

We have a joust or two more interludes to go, and team Battles to power through, maybe a few more speeches... intrigues...
Well, a week or one-and-a-half IRL sounds about right.

One thing I've been thinking of for the Tree of the Dawn Age is paying extra special attention to the godswood.

I want the Children of the Forest to plant a godswood of nothing but Weirwood Heart Trees. A small forest of them. I dunno, maybe a few square acres?

And then since the entire thing is going to be island-spanning, on some remote end of the island we can take the chance to grow a bunch of Ironwood Trees or something for personal use.

@Azel I think this covers everything.

Here's the social bonuses to use while approaching Crimson Lotus; Air of Nobility, Blood Wished Focused Scrutiny, Voice of the Dragon, and Wild Arcana'd Greater Heroism modified by the Encouraging Spell Metamagic (learned via Ancestral Awakening). This will add a constant +30 bonus to Viserys' base +48 Diplomacy bonus.

He should also have Divine Insight, Blood Wished Honeyed Tongue, and Moment of Greatness active. Divine Insight and Moment of Greatness can be discharged simultaneously to provide an additional +20 when needed. With Honeyed Tongue, Viserys gets to make all of his Diplomacy rolls twice, taking the higher of the two.

He can use his Orb of Mental Renewal before going into the meeting to heal his Charisma damage from using Blood Wish here.

During the meeting, he should be prepared to Blood Wish Surge of Fortune and Peacemaker's Parley spells. Neither of these spells can be cast too far ahead of time, but Viserys can use them surreptitiously without being noticed; all of his spells are Silent now and he can Still two spells per day using his Bracers. Crimson Lotus won't be able to discern the spells being cast.

All told, he can go into the meeting with a +78 Diplomacy bonus, increase that to +80 with Peacemaker's Parley, and +82 with Surge of Fortune. Using Blood Wish twice will decrease Viserys' Charisma bonus by one point, lowering the overall Diplomacy bonus to +81, a net gain of +3 points. Discharging Surge of Fortune (for an effective Nat 20), Divine Insight (+15), and Moment of Greatness (+5) will increase that to +119. And then add a +1d6 Mythic Surge bonus as a finisher.

+119+1d6 seems likely to have an effect.

PS: You can substitue Sirine's Grace in place of Peacemaker's Parley if you don't mind reducing his maximum Diplomacy bonus by -2 points, reducing the Diplomacy bonus to 117+1d6 in favor of getting a +8 bonus to Perform(Oratory).

...Why aren't we just brainwashing him, again?
The end result seems to be the same after we are done.
[:V]

Magnificent numbers, thanks for compiling that.
